We (family of 4) stayed here for one night before our departure to Kunming. The first mistake was to stay in Shuhe. This a very commercialised town stripped of its natural character (it was like going to Benidorm in China). With hindsight, we should have stayed in Lijiang old town as this was full of character.
The Inn itself was very average with creaky rooms and low ceilings. Breakfast was just bread and jam, and a boiled egg.
If you are unfortunate enough to stay here, word of caution, do not eat the ice-cream from the nearby "French" cafe as both kids got sick the next morning. Ironic as we ate local food all through the holiday without any problems and this was the first time we deviated.More
