Really I'm just repeating what everyone else has said about this fabulous apartment/room. We had already booked a special 6 night offer at a large hotel in Dubrovnik and needed somewhere to stay for our first night in Croatia. Cavtat seemed a good choice as it was near to the airport so we could start our holiday more quickly . WE WISH WE HAD STAYED 3 OR 4 NIGHTS THERE, because Cavtat is so beautiful and the apartment/room couldn't have been in a better position with the most lovely views from the terrace and our room. I had a really bad back so it was important there weren't too many steps to get to our room and compared with a lot of other apartments/b & b's in Cavtat the Villa Andro only had a few steps. Despite only booking for 1 night there was a taxi waiting for us at the airport and Andrusko was waiting for us when we got out of the taxi, he carried my bag to the room and couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable. He was really helpful offering advice on how to get to our hotel in Dubrovnik. We shared a welcome drink with him on the terrace and watched the sunset. Fabulous!!!!!. We only wish we could have cancelled some of our hotel nights in Dubrovnik and spent more time at Villa Andro. Its only a 45 minute pleasant boat trip to the old harbour in the old town of Dubrovnik and very reasonable return fare. So, on our last day we got the boat back and popped in to say goodby to Andrusko and his wife before going to the airport. Again we were welcomed with a hug and we sat listening to Frank Sinatra and shared more complimentary drinks. This really is a special place run by special people. Highly recommended. We loved it.

Room Tip: Our room had pine ceiling, parquet wooden floor, twin beds, seperate bathroom, simple furnishings-I...

Anyone looking for self catering in Cavtat should look no further than Villa Andro. Andrusko the owner made us very welcome and did everything in his power to ensure that we got the most out of our holiday. He and his Wife are charming and spoilt us with local drinks and delicious home made cakes and pastries. Our apartment with its balcony was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the balcony whilst taking in the beautiful views of the bay. The shared kitchen had all the facilities one would expect and suited us fine. The location in the old town was perfect for us to try some lovely restaurants recommended by our host. A great place to stay. M and M Yorkshire

My sister and I just finished a wonderful week in Cavtat with our wonderful hosts Andrija and Tanya. What a perfect location in the beautiful town of Cavtat: a stone's throw from the gorgeous bay waters, not even a block to restaurants and shops, transportation hub, great bakery, groceries, etc, and yet very quiet. The room and common areas were spotless and cleaned every day. We were treated like friends with homemade strawberry cake and local aperitifs, local information about the area, restaurants, activities. Fantastic value. And an added bonus, meeting wonderful people staying in the same environment. Definitely a place to be a traveler not just a tourist.Thank you !

Room Tip: Loved our first (not ground) floor room with walk out balcony.

We recently spent four nights at Villa Andro, using Cavtat as a base for exploring Dubrovnik, Southern Bosnia and Montenegro. From the very beginning Andrushko and his wife worked to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Several times we just sat on the terrace with a small brandy soaked in kumquats or had Turkish coffee. It was important for us to step back from the bustle of travel and daily lives to just relax in such a beautiful setting. Cavtat is a wonderful alternative to the center of Dubrovnik: quiet, historical, highly walkable and will a good range of services and restaurants. We had the entire first floor to ourselves and chose the balcony room - a great place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. We were able to cook quite easily in the kitchen, which was well equipped. The unit also has a washing machine. We stayed near the mid point of a three week self-guided tour of Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia. We only travel with carry-on luggage so the opportunity to wash was great. Andrushko actually hung the wet wash while we were out and left it back in the apartment. It was just a small example of hoe thoughtful he and his wife were. All of the main points of a rental were there as well: spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, decent parking. We would definitely go back.

Room Tip: First floor balcony rooms have best view

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Andros in September 2013 and it was marvelous. We needed a place to stay near the airport after traveling around to Bosnia etc. and this was perfect. Andrushco and his wife were the perfect hosts and we truly felt like guests, from the welcoming homemade quince apertif to the offer of having cocktails with them before we went out for the night. We had a nice view from our room and it was quiet and comfortable and truly affordable. I would go back to Cavtat just to stay at Villa Andro again. And of course the little town is beautiful. We had an early flight the next day and Andrushco set up some cookies and coffee for us in the shared kitchen. There is a beautiful view of the Cavtat bay and sunset from the shared terrace.

Room Tip: The room we had overlooked the water - the room above ours may have had a better view but we had a s...

We stayed for one week at Villa Andro on the basis of the good reviews and can only repeat what has been written here. Cavtat is a great little town, more relaxing than Dubrovnik, and Villa Andro is in a perfect waterfront location (rather than up the hill as many residences are). Andrusko and Tanja were excellent hosts; recommending days out, providing discounts for local restaurants and making us morning coffee on occasion. All in all a great place for a relaxing holiday.

We finished our first holiday in Croatia by spending 5 nights at Villa Andro. The town of Cavtat was the perfect relaxing alternative to staying in the busy city of Dubrovnik. We booked Villa Andro after seeing great reviews on Trip Advisor and certainly weren't disappointed! Andro and his wife were extremely accommodating and made a real effort to make us feel at home. The homemade desserts and liquor were a particular highlight! Thank you for a wonderful stay Andro! Steve and Charlotte
