Having travelled to Cavtat on a number of occasions in the past 10 years or so, I've always opted for hotels but came across this studio apartment last year. Located right in the middle of the village close to all the bars and restaurants, this is an ideal place to stay if you want to be in the middle of the action. Comfortable room incuding small kitchenette, adequate for breakfasts and probably lunch and dinner if you really wanted to self cater. However, as it was so close to all the restaurants in the village, I only had breakfast in the room. Fantastic sea views from the room and, if you move a chair towards the window, almost like having a balcony. In addition to the studio apartment I stayed in, which can accommodate up to 3 people, there is a larger apartment which can take 4 adults. Both apartments are on the 1st floor and the owners live in the same building on the 2nd floor, so if there are any problems, it's not far to go! Lina and Drago are very friendly and helpful, biut not at all intrusive. Less than 5 minutes walk to the local market and small supermarket to stock up on breakfasr supplies, but if you don't feel like preparing breakfast, Buffet Atlas to the left of the apartment building serves breakfast from about 8:45 - very reasonable prices. To the right of the apartment building, is the restaurant Cavtat , which serves good food at a reasonable price. There are a lot of different restaurants in Cavtat to choose from for lunch or dinner; the Galija, Leut, Ivan and Toranj are amongst my favourites. Only 45 minutes by boat, or 30 by bus, to Dubrovnik, Cavtat is an ideal choice for a relaxed holiday and these apartments were ideal for me, so much so that I am returning again this year.
