Thisis my 7th trip to Cavtat over the years and we have always had several meals in the hotels restaurant, Restaurant Dalmacija. This year to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday we decided to stay for a week at this wonderful hotel. We were not disappointed! everything was superb, from our beautifully appointed room, the wonderful service from Martina, the restaurant staff, the cleaning staff and the owners, the amazing Nena and her husband. They made us so welcome, made a huge fuss of my wife on her birthday and made sure that we had the perfect holiday. We had a wonderful sea facing room with a large balcony, enjoyed superb food in their restaurant and the 7 days flew in. I can not recommend this hotel enough, first class from start to finish and we will return without doubt. Thanks to everyone at Villa Pattiera!

Room Tip: Superior deluxe room has large balcony overlooking the bay.

We stayed for 7 nights in late June at this excellent hotel. Cavtat is a superb little coastal town. Countless restaurants along the waterfront - but you won't need those if you stay at this hotel which has its own excellent restaurant. The hotel itself is small and has no pool, so not perhaps particularly the best choice for families. However, it is well-appointed, spotlessly clean and the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful at all times. Our room had very good air conditioning which we were fortunate enough to need given the wonderful weather! The buffet breakfast is very good with plenty of choices including cooked items. The restaurant (across a small street - but don't let that put you off!) has a wide range of items, very slightly restricted if you are staying on "half-board" terms but we ate there every evening and were never spoilt for choice. The waiting staff are efficient and friendly, but don't hurry you and an entire evening can be spent there.
Cavat has plenty of places to swim, sun-bathe, pleasant walks, take a cooling drink. No sandy beaches but lots of opportunity to take a boat to the islands and, especially, to Dubrovnik. A benefit is its closeness to the airport and although there are low-flying aircraft during the day somehow or other they are not obtrusive.
We thoroughly recommend Cavtat as a resort and Villa Pattiera as a fine small hotel. What's more to like??

Room Tip: All rooms are different. We had a front room which we thought would be noisy at night - but it was n...

We left our cruise ship early in Dubrovnik as we had to come home because of other commitments. We decided not to stay overnight in the City before our mid morning flight the next day as we had been there before and had also visited Cavtat a few years before - before in fact the civil war! The last time we were in Dubrovnik for the day on a cruise we took a sentimental journey on the small ferry back to Cavtat to see how it had both survived the battles ( that we had seen on television) and how it had changed.
It was still as lovely as we remembered so when we decided to fly home from Dubrovnik it was an obvious choice to overnight. We selected the Villa Pattiera as it was both central and yet not right on the seafront where the bars are mainly. It has a good reputation for food and we booked a superior room. We were not disappointed on any count and we are already planning to return for afew days as it is so easy to get to Dubrovnik airport in the summer.
A great place to stay friendly staff, excellent food and well appointed rooms - but you need to book.

We returned from Cavtat on Friday and spent 7 nights here. As all reviewers say the owner and all the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Our room No. 12 was small but perfectly formed with a lovely terrace for sunbathing. It is at the top of the hotel so plenty of exercise walking up the stairs. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order, with the usual assortment of cold meats, cheese, cereals and fresh fruit. We ate at the restaurant on several evenings and the fillet steak was fabulous as was the fish with prawn rissotto. Highly recommend this hotel and hopefully we will be back again next year. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay in Cavtat so enjoyable.

A last minute decision to check out Cavtat and really glad we did . This traditionally decorated small hotel is ideally positioned in the heart of this very pretty village that shouts charming, friendly and relaxing! Nice large rooms, we stayed in room 5 with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea albeit across the roofline of the restaurants below but is just added to the super character! Breakfast was very good and staff were so helpful. No parking but we were able to at least drive to the hotel to off load the luggage and then parked the car just up the hill. Dubrovnik was only a 16 minute drive away and we parked on a metre easily , would recommend the cable car and war museum.

Room Tip: Room 5 is well positioned with alcony overlooking the sea

I ended up staying here as the conference hotel was fully booked but I can't tell you how glad I did. Good food, nice people who couldn't do more to make you feel welcome if the tried.

There are a few more stairs than I would have liked and the WiFi is a bit patchy but its great value for money.

We have just returned from Cavtat and spent 11 nights at Villa Pattiera. This is a brilliant Hotel in a super location. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming it is like you are regarded as friends. The meals were excellent. Breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful. We ate in the Hotels restaurant 3 evenings (delicious) I could recommend the Pork medallions!!! Our room was number 1 which was very spacious, decorated to a very high standard and spotless. Outside we had a roof terrace which overlooked the Harbour of Cavtat again brilliant. We will certainly be back to this wonderful Hotel again.
