We stayed here as part of a group trip, but we must say that we we're exceedingly impressed with the hotel, the service and even the food (breakfast). We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. There is noise from the harbor, but that is the price you'll pay to have a room literally in the center of Hvar City.

On a recent tour of Croatia and Venice my husband and I spent a couple of nights at this wonderful hotel. Out of all the hotels we stayed at on this trip this one was our very favorite! We loved our room and the beautiful view of the harbor. The hotel is the perfect location to explore the island. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. There were many choices of fresh homemade food as well as a menu that you could order from. One of the days our group had lunch at the hotel. It was the best lunch that we had on the whole trip! We also enjoyed the upstairs bar in the evening and the amazing view of Hvar. My only recommendation would be for some better music as the techno stuff they were playing just didn't fit in with the beautiful scene. We totally enjoyed our stay and fell in love with Hvar. The weather was perfect and the island was just gearing up for the summer season. Late May seems like the perfect time to spend there as the summer crowds have not yet arrived. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful time on your beautiful island.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The fundamentals of the hotel are extremely solid, i.e., fantastic location, cozy but nice rooms, and a reasonable nightly rate all things considered. The staff is uniformly friendly and the free breakfast, served on the shaded front deck overlooking the harbor, is simply outstanding.

There are a few minor complaints however, which, in aggregation, prevent us from rating this hotel as "excellent." First, the rooftop bar was bad despite the scenic views therefrom. We had drinks up there twice, and each time the place was virtually empty and the beers were flat and had to be sent back. That the bar attempts to look, sound and feel like a Las Vegas club, instead of a relaxing place to welcome or wind-down the evening, is of no help to the situation whatsoever.

Second, if you have a room facing the harbor, the view is nice but you can at times hear a lot of voice-noise from passersby on the street. Finally, we pre-purchased passes to the Hotel's beach club down the road, but when we attempted to use them said beach club was closed for a private party. We went back the following day and lounged, but were told that the club was not yet fully-opened and therefore we could only order one of two items for lunch, a club sandwich or a salad. This complaint may sound like nitpicking, but one must understand that these beach club passes cost approximately $100 U.S. dollars, and there is another perfectly good beach club nearby at which you can rent two cushioned lounge chairs for $20 total, and it also has a good restaurant for lunch, which is where we went when the Adrianna club was closed for the private party. I agree with the previous reviewer that the hotel erred in pre-selling us a product at full-price and then not having it fully-operational for our use.

The above, however, are but minor complaints which only somewhat detracted from our experience there and cannot come close to offsetting the fantastic location, great breakfast, and attractive premises. In total, this hotel is very good.

Room Tip: If you get a room with a view, there might be noise from the street.

Right, this hotel is not perfect. If you look closely there were plenty of little things that could be improved, they were obviously training staff in the run up to the summer season, they bizarrely dont serve any bar snacks in the top bar, some of the furniture is a little cheap. I'm clutching here, because it is a great little (big for Hvar) hotel.

We went their with our two children, aged 7/5, and they could not have been more accomodating, from the moment we arrived on the dockside (our water taxi from split phoned ahead) with a golf cart to transfer our luggage it was great. The hotel has a truly amazing location in the perfect spot.

I think May / June is probably perfect before the hoardes arrive, and then September probably bliss too. I get the feeling the hotel might really struggle to cope when it gets busy, and we had none of the concerns about noise, as the season hadn't started.

Rooms.....small, but really nice. Really good shower, nice comfy bed, Products a bit cheap for a true 5 star, but fine.

Breakfast.....epic. Lovely staff, beautiful veranda setting, great spread. A real plus for us and a great sart to every day.

Reception.....smiley, genuine.......

Leisure facilities.....the salt water pool on the 4th floor is just plain wierd, its a really lovely pool, great size, if it was fresh water it would be amazing. And why is it covered, it could be fantastic, but falls a little short.

Spa........I'm not one for spa usually, and when the massuesse told me it was her first day I was a bit worried, but it was fantastic. Really comfortable, well done.

The Top Bar......Despite having the best view in Hvar, despite having really nice staff who couldnt do enough for you, it was empty most nights.......Although I imagine it is busy in the high season, the hotel have clearly not worked out how to get this place busy and buzzing. It is clearly to expensive for Hvar when the place isn't rammed and is a big missed opportunity for the hotel, as the setting is breathtaking.

Finally, we were able to use the excellent family pool and slide at the sister hotel, the Amfora. I had to ask instead of it being publisised. I can understand in the high season that may not work, but in these lower season months they should make more of it, as a feature. The location of the Adriana with the facilities of the Amfora are a very attractive propostition.

In conclusion a really nice place, could be even better, but well done Adriana and thank you for a lovely holiday.....

Room Tip: The rooms with a view are lovely, but you get the same view at breakfast anyway. The rooms at the back are quieter.
