“Fine, tasteful boutique hotel”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Lovely boutique hotel in a peaceful part of town. A little overpriced and we found it lacked the character of some of the other more traditional places we stayed in in croatia, but we loved the bright, spacious room and eating breakfast outdoors overlooking the sea. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Only a 5/10 min walk into town too.

The location, view, food, wine, accommodation - all wonderful. The staff were very helpful - thanks Milena and Josef! Hotel Korsal is a new, boutique hotel that is just steps from swimming in the sea, which was delightful, and a short walk to the old town, which is a beautiful area to explore. Korcula and Hotel Korsal were simply lovely - wish I could have stayed longer than one night.

Spent two nights. We opted for the more expensive room which was larger. Great beds nice view of water and marina. Walk into town is about 5 min and easy . Staff very helpful. They only have 10 rooms but were told they are adding another building. Stay here you will enjoy it.

Nice hotel with white was furniture. And yes the beach is across the street but it is very expensive for the fact it is just a room. Breakfast was food and was topped up well and hot eggs and coffee was good.

Nice big rooms and we had a view over the water. Just a few minutes walk into the centre of town. Just across from the hotel is a nice pebbly beach and also a swimming pool used for water polo. The swimming pool can be noisy even into the night but we didn't seem to have trouble sleeping.

Room Tip: Room 103 has a nice view

We were at the Korsal a month ago and had a fantastic time. We just loved the relaxed atmosphere and great service.

It was great to walk into our room and immediately see the stunning view from the window, looking over the sea to nearby islands. Everything was done to a high standard with effective and quiet air conditioning. WiFi was variable but ok - with no problem making Skype calls.

The design was really good, turning a challenging location into one that offered small terraces on different levels. Rooms were spread across 2 buildings so there was no opportunity to incorporate a lift. Not a problem as the staff carried the bags on arrival and departure.

All the staff were really helpful and made great service look so natural. This was quite a challenge given the tables were spread across 3 levels.

The restaurant deserves special mention. A well as good breakfasts with fresh ingredient and eggs cooked to order the dinners were excellent. Not the cheapest in town but really good quality cooked by a chef who really cared whether people liked his food.

While in Korcula do take the opportunity to see the local sword dance show "Mareska". The hotel reception has tickets.

The area around is beautiful. We particularly liked the nearby island - Badija. The taxi boats offer a regular and reliable service that I good value.

Travel to other parts of the island is easy using the local buses but watch out on Sundays as the timetable is much reduced.

We strongly recommend Hotel Korsal. It was everything we wanted.

This was the 4 stop on our honeymoon trip in Croatia in June 2013. We moved down the Dalmatian Coast Starting in Split and ending in Dubrovnik with Bol, Hvar, and Korcula in between. This was easily the best hotel (not that the others were that bad) and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The building was old, but the small hotel has been renovated beautifully with all the necessary modern amenities while still maintaining the charm of the original building. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Korcula. - Staff helped set up excursions, was great at breakfast and just generally went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Croatia was a great choice for our honeymoon.
Thanks,
Brent & Katie

Room Tip: Had a sea view room that was as advertised, a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.
