The buildings are beautiful and i have no negative comments to make. The old town is so clean even though there are a lot of people in the town. The restaurants are so clean and the food is lovely.

Korčula is.... OK. It's definitely not pretty, unless you love gothic architecture. After visiting Dubrovnik, Hvar and Split, Korčula won't really impress you with it's beauty.

The streets are more narrow and it's quiet. The buildings are dark...

Korčula does have a nice water front to enjoy (right outside the Old City).

Looking back, despite the great beach in Lumbarda, we would have skipped Korčula and added the extra days to our stay in Hvar and Split.

Beautiful small walled town. The inside of the walls are a maze of tiny little streets- great fun to explore.Restaurants along the walls are delightful but the ones in the old town are more sheltered.
The limestone pavements can be slippy so be warned.

We visited the city Korcula as a part of whole day trip from Zivogosce this summer. A cruise took us 2 and a half hour. After arrival to the Korcula town we were amazed by the fortification of the town and its position. Located at the southern edge of the island and protected by Peljesac from the the wind it reminds hidden beauty of the Dalmatian islands. The fortification edges the old town with a square profile, so that you are able to have almost panoramic view from the cornering towers. Within the old town there is a few historical sights, most of them carry the signs of presence of the Polo family, e.g. the Tower of Marco Polo and the Cathedral of Marco Polo. The latter offers a unique panoramic view on the Korcula island as well as Peljesac from its tower. The entrance is charged.
Despite the crowds of tourists brought from nearby island (one day tourists) the Korcula will perfectly serve those looking for a unique place, touched by the history and the famous traveller. Moreover, it can provide you with beautiful hotels and lovely atmosphere of a tiny town.
i definitely will return to this "small Dubrovnik".
