Just returning from a week in this hotel. Young family of 4.
Rooms were clean, well presented but a little small.

The lobby bar and poolside bar both well stocked and had good staff, though some times it was a little unclear if table service was being offered

The kids, ages 8 and 11 both liked the onsite kids club, staff were great, but it's a shame more kids did not join in.

The hotel is rated a 3 star, but it has lots of 4 star features, mini bar, 24 hour reception, room service on request, but was let down by a few maintenance issues with the bathrooms and outside areas, nothing major but worth noting.

As normal drinks in the hotel are not the best value apart form coffee and beer, shop across the street is best for daytime drinks if needed.

Coffee is 11kn at the pool, beer is 12kn, cola etc 22kn.

Daytime entertainment is ok, pool games and exercise classes.

The gym and wellness centre are both very good for this level of hotel, well priced massage and gymnast free to use, I used it everyday.

TV in the room has all the euro channels, most local channels have English/ American programs
With subtitles.
Aircon works well in the rooms,

Our family had a good time, near by is lots of things to do, both free parks for kids, cheap visits to observatry and costly powerboat parasailing.... All in 10 mins from the hotel.

Near by is a bakery and Tommy supermarket on the main road, and most of the restaurants are of good quality to very good, the 'street food' outlets are great for lunch.

Trips to the islands start from 30kn via the ferry, or taxi boat, from the town

Personally I would come to this hotel as bed and breakfast next time, as the food in the evening really varied, we did have to eat out some nights.

Don't expect to get a fry up or see an Irish bar, the resort is just not like that. I would say only 1 in 10 groups are English, or English speaking American etc.

Overall a fantastic place to visit, lots to do and a hotel what is very good for a 3 star.

Amazing holiday!

We stayed here in August and it's fair to say, the holiday far exceeded our expectations. Our room was basic but clean and had pretty much everything we needed (the air con could do with being upgraded, as well as the bathroom!) and we had a stunning view from our balcony. Hotel staff were (generally!) very friendly and helpful.

What absolutely made our holiday was Kids Club and the wonderful animation team. We didn't think we'd use any of the entertainment, but a few days in we did and we wish we'd used it from the start! Lots for adults and kids to get involved in, we loved doing aquaerobics most days, plus thoroughly enjoyed some of the other classes. Our daughters, aged 6 and 4, absolutely loved going to Kids Club, they did lots of fun things and couldn't wait to go back every day-and we got some lovely time to ourselves! The kids disco became our nightly event, it was great fun. All in all, very well organised and really lovely people who we totally trusted to take care of our children. Our daughters keep asking to go back to Kids Club, so says it all! Special thanks to Ema and Veki for all you did in making the girls' time so enjoyable. The animation team also organised for us to join in the Makarska Festival which was taking place during our stay, and what an experience that was! Great memories for our family.

We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but there was lots of choice and we were pleased with the quality of the food.

My only disappointment was the cocktails, I tried one and it was so bad I stuck to beer thereafter!

Makarska is beautiful and the hotel is in a great location-we'd highly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: Not much space between end of bed and the opposite wall is the only comment I would make

Spent 2 weeks here with my husband and 12 year old son. Hotel is very close to the beach and lots of very good restaurants. Hotel and pool area was very clean and well maintained, rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels provided.
Only ate breakfast but a very good choice on offer which was fresh, warm and constantly replenished so it did not matter if you went for breakfast at 7 or 10 am, the choice was the same.
Reasonable sized pool (and small baby pool) with lots of sunbeds, pool area cleaned every morning ( we had a room overlooking the pool so can vouch for this) Working wifi ( only tried to access in room but worked fine0

Having a 12 year old son I booked the hotel not only because it had a pool but far more importantly as it is advertised as having 'entertainment', Indeed on the website it states "a rich entertainment program"

The entertainment was DIRE !

Here is a quick breakdown:
9-11am kids club in a small creche style room decorated like a nursery (3 -12 year olds) what 12 year old wishes to be entertained alongside 3 year olds in a room that is decorated like a nursery; the only few children that attended where very young children and when I asked they actually had nothing for the older children to do if they did attend other than 'maybe do some crafts ?? '

At 11am aqua aerobics, on the entertainment board it stated pilates/yoga for some days but never actually saw anything other than aqua aerobics. This was aimed at adults (it was solely women that the staff went around asking if they wished to take part) though a few men and the odd little girl did join in. NOTE - clearly not qualified to deliver these sessions !

4.30 ish football or volleyball...again aimed at adults (this time men that the staff went around the pool inviting) dont think I once in the 2 weeks I was there did I actually see anybody say they wanted to take part.

7ish - mini disco...again young children up to approx 6/7 little disco on the terrace for an hour.

8.45 evening entertainment ( cabaret style) until 11pm

Nothing on Saturdays.

Basically NOTHING for older children, no pool tables, table tennis etc etc and nothing put in place for their entertainment, as any parent will tell you happy entertained children = happy parents.

I did ask one of the entertainment team about something around the pool and she pointed out that they did water activities..this actually involved lining the children up into 2 groups whilst they passed a wet cloth over their heads and under their legs in an attempt to fill up a bucket....even the 6 year olds got bored after 10 minutes.

This was enough to put a dampner on our experience of what is otherwise a lovley hotel, thankfully my son was happy enough to just play in the pool but again this was not always straight forward. Clear signs saying no balls/lilos etc..totally understandable but one minute it was allowed half an hour later it was not ??!
Local children also frequently came into the pool through the back door ( let in by pool staff) and proceeded to run around, climb onto the small fountain in the small pool, stand and balance on the rails of the stairs into the pool and throw balls around with considerable force in the pool..all unchallenged by pool staff.

Would I come back again ?? If it was without children, yes..otherwise I'm afraid not. I booked this hotel based upon the fact it clearly states range of entertainment and was left sorely disappointed.

We liked our Stay at Dalmacia very much. Nice room with AC and refrigorator. Next time We chose balcony on the poolside without evening sun. The poolarea was good but you have to reserve a sunbed early. People reserve sunbed without using them.

Many nice restaurants close to hotel.
