we stayed here in august 2014 arriving late in the evening at around 10 pm , there is a motion sensor escalator on the right hand side of the steps to help you up from the front of the hotel to reception and also one on the right hand side of the steps in the reception area up to the bar area to avoid most of the stairs.
we had two rooms one was a suite and the other was an ordinary room ,d26, advertised as sea view but only had a tree view maybe 3rd floor would have given sea view, the suite was large enough apart from the by now well known small toilet/shower room, there was plenty of room to hang all our clothes with wardrobe space in bedroom and living area, we found the bed was large and comfortable and the balcony gave a view over the countryside, we were not bothered about a sea view as we were not spending much time in the room. the rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels and the beds made up.
we were half board and we found the food at breakfast and the evening meal to be quite varied and plentiful and there were always enough free tables and the free drinks at meal times were a good touch as at other hotels we have paid for drinks with our dinner, also the sandwich and cake at lunchtime was nice.
the hotel pool while not the biggest was never really too full and no matter what time you arrived there were always spare sunbeds and plenty of parasols which sometimes would blow away if the was a gust of wind but this did not happen to often.
the hotel was only a few minutes walk away from the main tourist area with plenty of bars and restaurants but could be tiring to walk back up to for someone elderly or infirm.
the hotel staff we found to be pleasant and helpful though the older ones did not speak as much English as the younger ones, though I don't think there are that many English speaking tourists in this area, I certainly didn't hear too many.
in conclusion I have to say our family enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to other people, to those that are looking at poor reviews remember that this is a 3 star hotel so you are not going to get everything that 4 and 5 star hotels offer, we found it to be good value and had a relaxing time and we noticed the staff here worked very long hours with hardly any days off but were still courteous, and a thank you to Debora on reception who was very helpful.
