We stopped at this wine bar and enjoyed a 50 cl. carafe of Muskat wine for 50 kuna.
The young lady who served us was pleasant and helpful, and the wine was truly delicious.

We could not stay to try the food, but it looked good.

I don't really understand why this place is ranked number one among restaurants in Porec. I mean it's a nice enough bar and the service is pleasant but the food selection is very limited and the wine is nothing special. To call itself a vinoteka, one would think there would be a wide variety of wines from the amazing region offered. However, this is not the case. Moreover, there are only a few dishes one can order, including a selection of meat and cheeses. Again, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is nice enough if you don't mind being cramped into street-side tables. It's a good place to people watch, and perhaps that's the main draw.

We stopped here, after being recommended by TJ our tour guide, for a bite to eat.
Made a mistake by having a beer instead of the reasonably priced wine and with a meat plate which was far too much for two of us!
Would recommend to any one.

At 9 kuna (about a £1) for a 0.1l glass, we could not resist trying some wine. It was pleasant and quaint as a venue though easy to miss if you walked past the alley way too quickly. We did not eat here, just drank wine, but had we needed to eat we would definitely have tried it.

Take a three-four types of local wines and a menu of local herb and fruit spirits, add a few crispy fresh plates to go with wine including local meats, cheeses, baccala spreads and sweets and what you'll get is Bacchus, the local Croatian wine bar it should look and taste. In the summer they work until late and are normally fully packed so be prepared to wait someplace else. For example in Hitri next to Bacchus that use the same concept, but dont even come close.
