We spent three nights in the hotel - the place had many positives not least its location right in the heart of town and a good sized room). We phoned at the prearranged rendezvous point and one of the staff came and picked us up in the electric cart which others have mentioned leading us first to free parking (which is a long way from the hotel) and then driving us and our luggage to the hotel. Check in was a breeze. The owner, a lawyer from Zagreb, was a really interesting character and he has created a really neat little place right in the centre of things and clearly had plans for expansion. We did have a fee niggles though: the owner relied on some quite young staff to run the hotel the Cook (who was clearly talented from the tapas we tried) never got up early enough for us at least to cook breakfast (sorry - if the breakfast starts at a certain time the cook should be there not strolling in at 9). The cold breakfast was ok but it would have been nice to have eggs etc on one of our three mornings there! I felt the place would have benefitted from a manager to keep the youngsters on their toes and under control more. The spa was out of use but we used the gym which was great. Check out was a little challenging as the female receptionist spoke very poor English. However, these are all niggles and we take the memory of our final night listening to guitar on the street outside and the owner sharing some of his plans with us as something very special. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
