Had dinner at Monte last night and it is no surprise they have a Michelin star. The restaurant is stunning and the team make you so welcome from the minute you arrived. 3 tasting menus available plus a la carte means there is no lack of choice. We chose the ‘Red’ tasting menu with a good balance of fish and meat. The tuna 3 ways and suckling pig being the stand out dishes for me, but there was no lack of flair and skill in every dish including the amuse bouche and a few surprises along the way. The wine flight is well worth trying out with a great selection of local wines that work so well with the food. The sommelier is first class and good fun too.
This is a place not to be missed, can’t recommend it highly enough!
