Description: At Masèra, we wish to offer our own vision of local gourmet cuisine with an innovative twist on traditional cooking methods, using exclusively fresh local seasonal produce.Masèra is not only about olive oil, adriatic fish and istrian prosciutto. Masèra is also about discovering remarcable and spontaneous food and reinventing them all over again. We, at Masèra do not feel the cooking to be ambitious, we strive to bring up the original basic essence of flavour and an underlining simplicity of presentation. In the end, a great meal is not only about the food and the wine.A great meal is about the overall experience.

“On the Spur of the moment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

Took a recommendation from our Hotel and we were not disappointed. Although quiet, due to the time of the year, the food and service were excellent. The ravioli with truffles was delicious as for the beef it melted in the mouth. Now as for Chocolate Soufflé? Stunning. The waiter was more than helpful and as for the bill? Very good value for money. Croatia, as we had been advised by other who have been before, is beautiful and its people so friendly and helpful

Phenomenal ravioli with spinach and truffles, and black risotto. Prices very reasonable considering the food quality. Highly recommended!

“Most enjoyable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2013

It took us a while to find out where this restaurant was ,but once we had located it we decided to book as we had a good half hour's walk and didn't want to be disappointed. Alas when we arrived there were plenty of tables, in fact for a while we were the only ones in. This said the staff were attentive and pleasant. We opted to just have a main course which I enjoyed. I had sea bass fillet, my husband had pork fillet wrapped in bacon and our friend had risotto.Unfortunately my friend's meal left her hungry as it seemed to be quite a small portion. She might have had a dessert but the choice was small. My husband and I had the home-made orange ice-cream and also enjoyed that.I thought it was most enjoyable but a shame about our friend.

“Not for us”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013 via mobile

The service was slow, the food was cold, all one could notice was servers talking.
For that price, no thanks.

“Aaahhh Istria!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2013 via mobile

We decided to visit this restaurant afte having red TA reviews and were encouraged to try it out by the hotel lone reception.
The place is lovely decorated with a big open terrace and a kids playground which suited our four y.o. boy just fine.
We were given a nice table near the playground do to keep an eye on the kid...
For starters we were suggested having a mixed seafood appetizer with an addition on oysters in tempura which took us by surprise completely, since we did not expect such a dish presentation.wonderful.
Afterwards we had a risotto with Canestrelli and truffles split on two plates which was prepared to perfection.for the main course out waiter suggested us having the seabass cooked under salt.
Boy when he came out with plate with the fish ablaze... We were sure that this frm now on will be our sweer spot when in Rovinj.
Not to mention that the seabass was a success as was the white chocolate souffle with fresh truffles.
Way to go Masera.
We'll be back for sure.
