“Couldn't ask for more!”
Reviewed 22 June 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights in early June, three couples who share short breaks away together each year.
Everything was excellent here, rooms spacious and spotlessly clean with fabulous views of the harbour. The location is brilliant and the Villa has lots of character and charm.
Emilia made are stay though, as she is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
She arranged our transport to and from the airport, provided lovely breakfasts on the terrace and was full of information on places to visit and see.
We have stayed in many good places over the years; but this has to be one of the excellent places.
Go ahead and book you won't be disappointed!

Dear Emilia,

This is the best place we stayed in our month long travel in Croatia
From the charming beatifully decorated room, to your accomodating personality- I would
say you are a perfect host in every sense

We were tired when we arrived late in the afternoon, soaking wet and needless to say very
cranky when you showed up downstairs and helped me with my suitcase while carrying
my wive's suitcase in the other hand, up a couple of flight of stair to our room.

Our morning breakfast was a delight, on a terrace overlooking the harbour below. How wonderful to have you to talk in the morning while serving us breakfast and getting tid-bits information about
Trogir.

Thank you so very much for treating us like family.
My wife can't stop talking about how spacious your upstairs kitchen is!

We spent two nights at Villa Moretti this month and from the time we made our reservation in March through our entire stay, Emilia Biocic handled everything perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble -- from meeting us in the pouring rain to help with our luggage from the car, riding the short distance with us in the car to show us the small parking area she has, to taking prompt and efficient action when the water heater in our bathroom malfunctioned. We had room #5, exquisitely decorated with a very comfortable, large bed that overlooked the old town of Trogir and the harbour. Emilia also recommended two good restaurants, one just up the street (2 minute walk) and Monika in the old town, where we enjoyed local specialities. It was a treat to return after dinner to have a bit of sherry that was offered in our room before bed! WIFI was easily available on the upstairs terrace, not in the room -- which was no problem, as the views from the terrace of the harbour were wonderful.

we started our holiday in Croatia with 2x nights at the family run Villa Moretti. blown away by its grandeur, it was a stunning house. picked up from the airport by a lovely welcoming man with a smile, the perfect way to be welcomed to a new country.
the suite is such an impressive room, decorated to a high standard. the breakfast was relax and the home made cakes were devine. a must stay hotel, would recommend to all my friends. Trogir itself is such a stunning town and the view from the room, overlooking three harbour, the town and the mountains is simply breathtaking. thank you emilia for bring the perfect host.

I loved the Villa Moretti. It was easy to locate, a few minutes walk from the Bura Line ferry from Split and a few minutes walk across the bridge to the main attractions.
The room was huge, but could use a little updating, but still nice.
The breakfast was served on a nice terrace. It was a very good breakfast.
I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I had a room in the front of the building which gave me good views of town.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for staying with us and writing us a nice review. We are glad you spent good time in our town and house and Croatia in general
Only one thing I have to mention, hope you wont mind and dont get me wrong- your review is very nice and appreciated.
Room you stayed in is a new room ( you were the third guest) but furniture is originally furniture from 18/19 th century, drapes are made like they were once and ceiling is originally made by Venetian paintworkers in 18/19 th cent.
We wanted and needed to keep this look as the house is under the protection like historical building.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that all the rooms have the view as there is no any back side room without the view of the town and sea.
Now that USA is far but hope you will turn back in Croatia as it remained lot to see here.
With kind regards
Emilia

The people that run this small Inn are very nice and do work hard to make your stay an enjoyable one but other than that I find nothing remarkable about this very average accomdation. The rooms are small and dark with only one small window to enjoy the view across the channel. The location is good right across from the old town but there is also a ton of noise from the boats, cars, scooters, and jets flying overhead at all hours since you are directly under the flight path for the Split airport. Not the place I would choose for a relaxing vacation that is for sure. At 90 euro a night I'm sure there must be better choices in the area.

Room Tip: Get a seaside room

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your review. I am sorry we didnt meet your expectations. Maybe they were to high.
We are not a big new 4 star hotel situated away from the town. On the contraty we are situated in historical (protected) building which has been built long time ago and cant have big windows like modern hotels. Giving you the feel of modern is not our attitude. Darkness in the rooms is coming also
from the fact that you came during the summer and in Croatia is very hot and keeping windows open will let all the sun and hot inside( of course there is AC to cool it but with direct sun it makes it more difficult).
Regarding to the noise it is true that Trogir is close to the airport and that we all hear airplane landing in whole the town.
Also we are located in the town and you cant have quiet and peace atmosphere in the peak season ( for that you have to choose locations away from the town).
Room tip is not good because all rooms have the view of the sea and town (there is no back side room at all).
Value and price comparison in your opinion is not good but this already experienced our another guests who are coming back every year.
Trogir center is not a place to relax on the beach but it is historical pearl with lot of historical monuments to see and feel and therefore is listed on UNESCO list.
It is good to keep all this things in mind to not have wrong expectations.
With kind regards
Emilia Biočić
