“EXCELLENT LOCATION”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

We left Villa Moretti yesterday, after our Easter Holiday in Trogir. When we decided to visit Split, we didn't take into consideration to stay in Trogir (20 minutes far only)… But when I saw Villa Moretti we immediately decided for it! Trogir is a masterpiece, and so is Villa Moretti. Emilia, the owner, is fantastic! She is a perfect landlady! She prepares a good breakfast with different choices of sweet and salted dishes, she speaks italian, english, german and for this reason, she's able to give good advices/information for what to do/visit nearby. We had room number 3, large and very very clean room, with a beautiful view of the old town of Trogir. The room was very quiet and just five minutes walking to the center of old Trogir. We'll definitely come again! Thank you Emilia!!!

This Villa has been in the family since 1600 as we understood from Emila. She was nice and friendly, always there to help. The rooms are up the stairs so you have great views, ours looked over to Trogir with it lite up at night. She helps you carry your bags. She is very strong and seems to have no problem with them. It was raining when we were there and she made sure we had seen the umbrellas she had put out for us. There is complimentary sherry with chocolates that are very tasty. You eat breakfast on a terrace. The breakfast is meat and cheese, danish, bread with butter, cereal, yogurt, and milk, orange juice, tea and coffee.
By the way it is a quick walk over the bridge to Trogir. You will think nothing of it.

As a part of our 4-week long southern Europe summer vacation, we had four days in Trogir before we started a 11 day long sailing trip with rented boat from Trogir harbour. We had been in Trogir in 2012 and know the city layout. When searching for a hotel, Villa Moretti got good reviews in Tripadvisor, had a good website, location and prices.

We sent a mail request during the winter and got reply with an offer within 20 minutes on a sunday morning. Excellent service so far.

During the winter, my brother and his partner wanted to join us and we were able to book another room for them. My sister and her partner also tagged along later, but then the hotel was fully booked. Emilia, the hotel manager, recommended a couple of nearby apartments for rent at they were able to book a super apartment only 50 meters from the hotel.

Emilia and her husband awaited us in the evening, showed us the parking space and helped us into the room.

The room was big, clean and very well functioning. Quiet AC, good windows with sound protection from the Trogir traffic.

Emilia serves breakfast on the terrace each morning. When our whole group was complete, she made a long table for all 6 of us to enjoy an excellent breakfast, even for those who did not stay at the hotel!

Emilia has knowledge on all activities, travel advice, taxi-connections etc. No need for buying guide books here :-)

We will definitively come again next time in Trogir. Magical city!

This was a four night stay and we cannot speak highly enough of our hostess and quality of the accommodation. The second floor rooms provide a wonderful view of the harbour and ancient city which is a short walk away. Car parking is possible by prior arrangement and out of the peak season was no problem.

Room Tip: The corner room on the second floor provides superb views

Our stay at Villa Moretti was first rate. It is a grand old building, and our corner room was well appointed, with wonderful outlooks to the old town and over the marina. The steps up to 3rd level were no problem as our bags were carried up for us. Carparking is hard to come by in this area but there was a free park provided up the nearby lane, not too far from the residence. Emillia was most helpful, making useful suggestions for our trip into Split, providing beach towels for visit to nearby beach and serving very good breakfasts. The open, airy terrace was ideal for breakfast. Overall a great experience.

We were a party of four and stayed at the Villa Moretti for seven days from the 30th August.
The Villa is a gorgeous old building and the rooms spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated, in line with the Villa's age.
We were also pleased with the location. Amazing views, of Trogir, from our windows and it was just five minuets walk away, across the bridge
Trogir is a lively place ,but you can close the shutters, the double glazed windows and sleep comfortably, in the air conditioned rooms.
Emilia was a lovely friendly host, with lots of helpful advice and information.
The breakfast was plentiful, bread, jams, croissants, cheese, cooked meats, pastries, yoghurt's fresh fruit, cereal's and juice, tea and coffee. The breakfast was an extremely pleasant affair, on the terrace, not only because of the extensive choice, but chatting to Emilia about Croatia, present and past
We would certainly stay there again, if we found our selves in that area of Croatia

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon in Croatia. My husband had told the host it was our honeymoon and we were greeted with champagne and flowers in our room (for free) which was just lovely. The room itself was really beautiful and tastefully decorated. I lovely it. The view was outstanding - looking over the harbour to the old bit of Trogir. Breakfast was lovely - the usual continential bread, cheese, meats but I think cereals were also available. Oh and lovely little dooughnuts which were beautiful. At night we spent some time having a drink out on the terrace and it was just beautiful - so peaceful, again with lovely views. Really good loctaion, about 5 minutes form the main part of Trogir but quiet at night. The host was really friendly and had lots of helpful information about what to do whilst here. I really want to return!
