This is a great little hotel. The location is one of the best features situated as it is in the centre of this lovely ancient town

We were made very welcome by the staff, the taxi cannot get to the hotel because the streets are not wide enough for conventional vehicles. Instead we were met at the entrance to the town by a splendid chap who helped with our cases.

The four of some stayed in a the family room at the very top of the building so expect some steep stairs.

The room is functional, clean and perfect for our needs.

Do not expect the Dorchester, you are not paying for that type of accommodation, but it is great value.

Stayed a couple of nights in this delightful and friendly hotel/guesthouse in Trogir. So close to the harbour and at the same time right in the centre with lovely restaurants and cafes. Lovely homely room, super breakfast and friendly owner/staff. Would definately stay again if visiting Trogir.

This place is in a very good location. The town of Trogir is a gem and this is right in the center near the main church. It is a good base for exploring Split and Krka and islands, etc. Our room was quaint on the top of the place with sloped ceilings and views out to a square on one side and a church steeple on the other. The host was pleasant and helpful, but not as nice as all of our other hosts in Croatia, who were really wonderful. Our other hosts though, were owners so perhaps that helps to explain the difference. It was clean and nice and a good value.

Room Tip: We liked the room under the roof!

This place is a little gem. In the middle of the old town, a perfect setting for our few days trip. Excellent in all respects. The room was lovely with a view of the square. Bathroom facilities first class..maid service every day...spotless.... the breakfast although continental was great. Joshkoff, sorry if spelt wrong, the owner was always on hand and extremely helpful and not at all intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. The ice cream parlour underneath is part of the establishment and when we went for ice cream he said they were on the house. We will definitely be going back there. the only tiny criticism is the bell ringing in the square. It rings throughout the night at certain times. This was a little frustrating but you would hear it wherever you stayed in the old part. if you are planning a romantic break you cannot go wrong....

Room Tip: Room 5 is a good size with seating and lovely view of the square.

We had a really lovely night here on our way to the island of Murter. We rented a large family room which was very lovely, clean and spacious. It would've been nice to have been able to make coffeee in our room. Great situation from which to explore Trogir. Also if you ask where they recommend to eat they give you a map and tell you where is good and where gives discounts as a resident of theirs ! Park on opposite side of the island, if you can, as its free ! Very affordable, nice & friendly. Would definitely return !

Villa Carrara is smack in the middle of Trogir. We got to choose a room and opted for one on the quiet side, which is very quiet indeed. Rooms differ in size. Even the small ones are ok if you stay just one night. The service level is outstanding: The employees were really going out of their way for us. If you arrive by car, leave your vehicle outside the old town, check into the hotel and you will be shown to an affordable parking space (10 euros per day).

We stayed at Villa Carrera for 3 nights. First of all, loved Trogir, but just as much Villa Carrera. In short, what makes this place so good is that its very central int the heart of Trogir, the rooms are with stonewalls and oldstyle, its clean, but more than anything the girl and boy in the reception makes you feel at home - recomending great restaurants (not just theyre "cousin around the corner"), helping you out where to get from A to B, telling some local storys, helping out with ferry times, where to watch premier League (no place to be found, but he found me an nternet site and solved the problem) and reallys howing interest in how youre stay is etc... If what you are after is a designer style and minimalistic room, ala "normal" hotels back home i guess you will be dissapointred... yes, its not a huge breakfast buffe, but its good and it can be a bit noisy (no prob for us, again, go find a normal hotel if thats what ur looking for) but if you want a feel good place with great service and beeing more than just one of many others guests at a big hotel, then we're pretty sure you will enjoy Villa Carrera, we loved it and will for sure come to Villa Carrera if/when returning to Trogir :)
