The location is good - it's only a few blocks and an easy walk from the Plaza de Ponchos. The restaurant was closed while we were there, so I can't speak to that. The linens were clean and smelled good, and soaps were refreshed daily. There was a small TV and a desk lamp in the room.
I had two big concerns with the hotel. One was that the way it's built, around a central courtyard, makes it very loud. If anyone is walking up the stairs, coughing, speaking at a normal volume -- you'll probably hear it in your room due to the echoing. The other was security. It's customary to leave your key at the front desk when leaving the hotel, but the keys are hung in plain sight, and anyone can ask for them. Sometimes the desk isn't staffed. The town is safe enough, but I couldn't shake how easy it would be for anyone to grab a key and go through your room at their leisure. There are signs advising you to leave valuables at the front desk.

Room Tip: Ask for one that doesn't open onto the central courtyard.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst visiting Otavalo. The price was very reasonable considering its location - we easily walked to all the famous markets in town, includingtthe poncho, fruit and veg and animal markets.
The hotel is finished to a good standard with gorgeous wood used to create most of the furnishings such as doors, mirrors, beds and cupboards. The bed was made in keeping with the local produce throws and blankets from the poncho market.
We had some difficulty in claiming our breakfast which was included with our booking, as the restaurant that appears to be on site is actually separate. However after negotiating, a full american breakfast was provided. We ate at the restaurant in the evening which offered a choice of both traditional/local dishes as well as more familiar dishes. We tried the traditional which was lovely and the staff very welcoming. There was some noises during the night like fireworks close by but this may not happen every night!
Staff at the hotel were very helpful although we required a use of a Spanish phrase book on some occasions! They have a safe and also booked a taxi for us when we asked.
Great place to stay if you are visiting otavalo.

Stayed in the top room on the 6th floor. Beautiful view and direct sunlight. The place is brand new, great furniture, although small rooms with not a lot of storage and only ceiling lighting, it was great value and a nice location. Cleanest place we've stayed in all of south america!!! Breakfast not included and not worth buying, go outside and eat at the food court behind the big church!

Room Tip: Upper floor, 604

Situated near the central market, on market day (Saturday) the market comes to you. The staff are friendly and helpful, with adequate Englisht to compensate for our inadequate Spanish. The rooms are compact but adequate for a short stay. Hot water was a bit scarce at peak hour. There is a restaurant attached to the reception area but was not operational during our stay. No real problem as there is no shortage of restaurants in the area.

We moved here after spending two uncomfortable nights at a different hostel in Otavalo. This was an amazing improvement. the rooms are detailed in beautiful wood and traditional wall hangings.

The beds were comfortable with lots of covers. The shower was great and had lots of hot water!

There was not breakfast included, but it is not hard to find a good inexpensive breakfast just up the street!

It is a good location for seeing the city, most of the great sights are not far away.

The staff was also very kind, helpful and accommodating.

We stayed here for a couple days as we visited the famous market, Cotocochi and Laguna Cuicochi which was absolutely amazing. The hotel is very clean and tidy, bedrooms a good size and very comfy bed. Shower hot and powerful. The hotel has so much wood inside from the beds to the hallways and corridors. Recommend eating at the restaurant next door, but be patient waiting for your meal. Recommend staying here for a couple days and very cheap!

The room was nice with the wood furnitures. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is also situated close to the main attractions and to the main bus station.

The bathroom is clean, but with no ventilation (and no window).

Overall, it's a good value for the price !
Wo only stayed one night.
