Very clean and quiet and friendly. Well located ( one block from the market square and three from the central plaza). Simple, but good breakfast with eggs and fruits t, all in all it is extremely good value. Recomended

Stayed here one night to go see the market- great location. Clean and very friendly, breakfast was very simple but very well prepared? The fresh fruit salad with yogurt was so fresh and delicious. Reasonable rates- try to go to the animal market which is a small can ride away, great experience to see this live action.

I stayed here one night when my initial choice could not put me up for the three nights requested. Hotel Acoma was their suggested alternative. I stopped in the day before check in to request an early (noon) check in so I didn't have to deal with luggage between hotels. It is located two blocks from Plaza del Ponchos but despite all the Saturday morning hubbub, it was quiety. Initially, they offered me a room behind the reception and right off the lounge area, but when I indicated 'no', they provided a family room on the third floor. Much quieter. The room was large and sunny with a nice view of the hillsides around Otavalo. It backed onto a square courtyard that is used for a car park, but despite hearing some car noises in the evening, it was quiet at night. There is a seating area right in front of the reception desk with magazines, and a more cozy lounge and bar area with fireplace in the central main floor. Breakfast was adequate. Again, coffee was fresh rather than the anticipated instant found in numerous places. The reception staff was very helpful and always had a smile when coming in or out.

Great, quiet accommodation very near the Plaza de Ponchos. So convenient for bopping in and out of town. Plus they let me use my room until 7pm on my date of departure without paying extra! They serve breakfast as early as you want.

We stayed overnight at the Acoma and were pleasantly surprised. The location couldn't be more convenient for stepping out and going one street to the right where the big market kicks into gear on Saturday mornings. The breakfast was terrific as was the woman who served it. Our room was medium-sized - less and it would be too small. The bathroom in our room backed up against the one in the lobby near the breakfast area, and there was a high vent hole between the two, so as I shower I hear what's going on over there. Outside our window was a small alleyway with small construction going on. I would say the biggest obstacle was the total lack of any English being spoken by hotel staff. That caused some difficulty when working out our bus back to Quito. Otherwise, our room was clean, comfortable, and neatly decorated. The rate of $60 for the night was a great deal for what we received. I was looking at other properties that looked nice, but they required a taxi to get in and out of the town. Acoma seems like the best option for convenience and amenities.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if stairs are a problem get a first floor room.

Stayed here a few days not glamours but very clean and the owners could not do enough for you. When you get up in the morning for your coffee the girl makes you a fresh breakfast. You are about 2blocks from the large artisan markets and plenty of good restaurants. They scheduled a ride back to the Quito airport for us it is a good 1/12 hr. ride but on a good road. I am presently in Manta and I will be returning to Otavalo in about 6 weeks and I will be staying here again.

This hotel is clean and well appointed. The room we were in was a bit on the small side not much room for luggage. But the breakfast is hearty and the people running it are friendly and kind. Decent value all round.
