After a few crazy days in Quito we went to Otavalo by bus and then taxi to Las Palmeras . It is such a lovely place. Very calming and serene yet walking distance to the market. Our room was a cute 1 bedroom cottage with it's own fireplace and at night they came in and lit it while we dined. They also placed hot water bottles inside our sheets. There was plenty of hot water and pressure. The dining room was nice with a big roaring fire every day. We loved sitting in front of it with a nice glass of wine in the evening before dinner. Dinner was available and I would say good but not memorable. The soups were tasty though and the staff was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful with fruit trees and flowers everywhere and lovely little paths to stroll down. I would love to return!
