My husband and I were booked in to the Jaz Mirabel Club, having had everything confirmed we were shocked to find on our arrival by car that it was shut). We were taken to the Jaz Mirabel Park who said we didn't have a booking with them, but very reluctantly they let us have a room! Bearing in mind we were on honeymoon we were given a room with twin beds, no fruit or sparkling wine on arrival - nothing!

Our rep arrived the next day, who turned out to be representing Thomson Tailormade (Hayes and Jarvis) spoke to reception and eventually our room was changed...now we had an ant infested balcony which took four days to clear by spraying and heavy mastic to seal up the holes.
Chantelle the Thomas Cook rep, who was very helpful and a lovely person said to ask our guy about vouchers for the restaurants. As Thomson Tailormade clients we were not apparently with Thomson and so not entitled to them.

When we came to request a late checkout again we had problem we were asked to pay £45.00, we knew Thomson holiday makers were paying £25.00 we spoke with the manager and he said his hotel did not have an agreement with Thomson Tailormade (not our fault we were in his hotel as someone had shut our hotel!).

We paid significantly more for our ten day stay than other holiday makers at the resort and received a lot less for it!

On the plus side the staff at the hotel are brilliant, attentive (may be too much at times), and it is VERY obvious they are after a tip which as it got closer to our departure date intensified. The people at the pools selling trips and excursions are very persistent to the point of annoying and despite putting the 'bag's on your sun beds or handing from the rafters they ignore them and still hassle you.

The food is very much the same thing each day, always chicken, fish and beef in some sort of disguise, however you could have pasta and this was made to order by the chef. The soups at lunch and dinner were excellent as was the bread and rolls (extremely fresh).

The lobby of the Jaz Mirabel Club is a four star as are the common areas of the hotel, the pool, gounds, bar area etc. However, the dining room is nowhere near this standard. It is like being in a cafeteria, your plate is cleared almost as soon as you have put your last mouthful in your mouth (and before setting down you cutlery - this happened on three occasions). There were still crumbs from the previous person and invariably you had to find additional bits of cutlery in order to eat. Also if you sat near a wall they were spattered with stains that should have been wiped off.

BOTH the rooms were tired and needed an update, the sheets and pillow cases were all different 'whites' and standardas of cotton and nothing appeared to belong? The shower in the twin room was hardly more than a trickly and the metal on the glass panel screen was rusting and it showed heavily. I would be hard pushed to say the rooms were a 3* let alone 4*.

I think even if everything had run smoothly this would not be somewhere I would to go to again, what should have been a dream honeymoon turned in to a soured holiday. We found out from reception why our hotel was closed - not enough guests, this does not excuse though the poor treatment we received and our second class treatment.

This was mine and my husbands first visit to Egypt. After reading the reviews on here we decided to book the Jaz Mirabel Park with Thomson.

Flight out went very well and was on time. Arrived in Sharm at night transfer to help was about 25mins with a few drop offs. First impressions of hotel was WOW.. looks so much better than any pictures we had seen of it. You get given your wrist band which lets you have limitless food and drink... The cocktails are delious, and they will make ones not on the menu for you as well. All the staff were super helpful and friendly, there are tip boxes in the Hotel so you dont feel pressured to tip each time you have a drink.. at the same time as the staff are so great you will find you want to. There are shops in the hotel as well, one shopkeeper called Moses called us into his shop and made us Egyptian tea and made us very welcome, got some beautiful things from his shop. We only booked 1 trip with Thomson as they cost far more than Sharm Club. The trip to the market with Thomson was great, helpful guide and great for shopping. A firm yet polite No Thank You will stop most shopkeepers from hassling you to buy goods. You can have a laugh with them as well, my husband had a few offers from men to buy me for Chicken and Camels! Trips with sharm-club.com were perfect. We went on a Glass bottom boat, Bedouin Dinner, Cairo by Air and Quad Biking picked up from hotel and to Cairo we had our own personal guid who was fantastic. Back to the Hotel there is alot to do within the Hotel complex as well:
Spa, Shops, Resturants, Pools, Tennis, Table Tennis etc..
Bars at the hotel offer great service. The Resturant food has different meats rice potaotes veg fresh pasta cooked to your requirements and different dishes cooked by the chefs as well each night beautiful breads and desserts icecrems, Breakfast also has fresh omelettes cooked in front of you. The Bacon and Sausage is beef not pork we werent keen on that, but with all the other choices didnt matter. The waiters are very attentive Emad was our waiter most days and he learned wjat drinks we wanted and as we arrived he would get them on our table before we have even sat down. The snack bars offers tasty sandwichs burgers pizzas and salads. The bedrooms are very big with TVs and mini bars each day we had a different animal made out of towels on our beds with rose petals all around it very clean and tidy. The Pools are very clean and you get a towel card so you can have a fresh towel to take to the pool each day. There is entaintment thru out the day from wateraerobics to table tennis. We went out on trips most days and nights so didnt watch much of the entainment at night, there was a kids film and a disco then egyptain dancers and other acts on each night loads of guests seemed to really enjoy this and every night the terrance was full with people enjoying themselves. A very good friendly atmosphere was thru out the hotel. We went down to the Beach to Snorkel my tip is to walk to the 2nd jetty at another hotel and pay the £2.50 to use it as you have to walk in the sea for about a mile for it to be past waist lengh.. at the end of the jetty there is a massive reef with loads and loads of fish we love it brought our masks from the hotel shops and got some shoes to protect our feet as well all for under £15.00 which we have kept and can reuse. We also went to Nabba Bay took a hotel limo from Jaz Mirabel Beach (Not a streched limo just a nice posh clean car) its very busy there but colouful and full of life, loads of shops resturants and bars defintaly worth a visit. Beach it beaufiful there as well. We also went to Soho Square used a taxi from across the road of the hotel agreed price with him before hand and had no hassel from him at all. where you have no hassle form shop keepers at all, some lovely bars and resturants as well. The ice bar is £15 each to get into when we went there was only another couple in there and there was no music was a bit of a let down. Quad biking was amazing as well. We had a nice relaxing day by the pool as well and that was lovely, they come round and give you snacks as well so no need to even move from your sun lounger, never had a problem trying to get one even later on in the day.. It was very hot outside hotel has AC and in the rooms as well so its nice and cool. How anyone can get bored on this Holiday I have no idea, we did stuff non stop and still need to go back to do alot more! Of all the hotels I have stayed in this is No 1. If things arent how you want tell the staff and they will sort it out right away. There is a Mcdonalds, KFC, TGI Fridays and Starbucks 20 mins walk away of you need some home comforts as well. KFC and Mcdonalds will also deliver food to your hotel!! We had an amazing time and will defitently be returing and staying in the Jaz Mirable Park!

The Jaz Mirabel Park and jaz Mirabel Beach hotels are very well designed, very stylist, and very comfortable . The surrounds are great and the beach also.

My room was nice and very clean. It was kept spotless all the time by MUSTAFA the chamber maid who was very efficient and kind, who also make beautiful sculptures with my towels and adorning it with flowers from the garden so sweet.
The food was great really delicious. The chef MIDO and his colleagues are very competent and really want to please the guests. I missed specially the breakfast time where the chef MIDO kindly made a delicious omelets for me and my friend just great. The only thing I missed was a fresh fruit juices to drink in the morning and through out the day. I don't like from the machines.

The staff at the restaurant were fantastic and always very happy and please to serve the guests. They were getting our drinks before we have asked for.

The entertainment team did everything they could to motivate us to have a good time thanks to Anna and her colleagues. I Also I particularly enjoyed the Cuban singers trio who have great voices and make the night entertainment a real pleasure.

The staff from the bars were fantastic and a great fun to be around, special thanks to ROKAYA Fathy, Amir SAIED, Ahmed A Mezed and the others, all great.

we have to say that the staff at the Jaz mirabel Park and Jaz mirabel Beach makes all the difference they really make us to feel at home and super comfortable.
We also enjoyed the massage treatments offered at the spar, great and skilled staff. And also the staff from the hair dresser where they look after our nails. Excellent work.

I definitely recommend this fantastic 5 star resort and I will tell all my friends about it. They have seen my pics and are already very excited to spend their future holidays there.
Thank you very much. Please keep the good work and make more room to improve always. My friend and I had a fantastic time.

Just a fantastic place.

We arrived late at night and were taken to our room via golf cart. The family room was great - really clean and well equipped with a separate area for kids beds (although we were only a couple). Not enough coathangers but this seems to be a universal hotel issue. The wardrobe space was plenty.

The bathroom was well equipped with a great, double shower room, and the room cleaner was fantastic - we came back most days to wonderful towel sculptures and flowers on the bed.

The hotel laid on late night food for us which was great quality. The main bar area was spacious and relaxed and the bar staff (especially Ramy) very attentive and willing. If you tip the staff the odd pound sterling (worth about ten Egyptian) here and there, the better the service you'll get.

The Welcome meeting with the rep Chantelle is a must - easily the best, most upbeat and informative briefing I have ever been to on a holiday - gives you all the info you will ever need to slip quickly into the holiday routine and plan your trips. We only ventured out once on the 'Friday Night Feeling' expedition which was great fun - plenty of opportunity to practise your bartering skills, and really well managed by the Thomson reps.

The hotel has four great pools - three for swimming and one for water slides (great fun). Both main pools are busy and serviced by an excellent pool bar. The third pool is quieter again with its own pool bar. Food at the bars was good, food in the main buffet restaurant exceptional. Watch the edges of the pool - they get very slippy and also very hot in parts (it was forty degrees when we were there in September).

If having an omelette, the default cheese is parmesan - we got our own cheese from the buffet (more cheddar-like) and the kitchen staff were happy to add this to the omelette instead.

Your wristband gives you access to the Mirabel Beach Hotel next door - good pools there too but you cant eat or drink there - probably the only main failing of the set up. They could be more flexible on this.

There is also a third hotel nearby that has the a la carte restaurants and a number of great little boutique shops below. The restaurants were fab, especially the Lebanese.

Dont bother packing any beach towels - the ones provided by the hotel are more than adequate. They also offer do not disturb signs which keeps local traders and touts away from you. Also dont bother with any jumpers - the diurnal range is low - it was still about 29 degrees at midnight.

The Entertainment team were average - good water polo and pool fitness activities during the day but the evening stuff was a bit limited - local dancers and bingo mainly. What was laid on each night certainly didnt match the written programme displayed around the hotel. They do show a kiddie film each evening which seemed a good idea.

Snorkelling was good - you pay £26 Egyptian pounds to get on a jetty that takes you across the lagoon to deep water and then the launch site is manned by a lifeguard. I did also try going off an unfinished jetty next to this which was free - it was harder to get off and back on, the fish were better as you are nearer the wrecks but getting ashore is treacherous due to the coral reef - not to be repeated !

We did walk through the lagoon once - make sure you wear sandals if you do as there are sharp bits of coral. We also came face to face with a sea snake which was a bit disconcerting but they are safe by all accounts.

There are no internet PCs at the hotel - just one laptop that can be hired from Reception for either 30 mins or 2 hours - about £4 for the former but you have to be patient with so many guests wanting to use it.

Sharm is the nearest hot place to Russia so there are lots of Russians there - they can be very abrupt and rude, with little concept of queueing. Biting your tongue can become a bit of an occupation.

Overall though, absolutely loved it and will definitely go back and I dont say that about many places. It was incredibly hot though - I was worried how taking kids there may be in the future but parents staying there seemed happy when we spoke to them.

If you are going to Sharm I strongly urge you to check this one out. If you do, I hope this review has been of use and have a great holiday !!

Weather fantastic, hotel lovely, the staff could not be more helpful and more attentive. They remember your names, what you like to drink and do everything possible to make your stay the best possible. It was both mine and my girlfriends first time to Eqypt and we only arrived back this morning and have already been looking to go back to the same resort again. I would recommend the Park over any of the others in the resort due to its layout of the grounds but that was just our personal preference. The entertainment "animation team" are busy all day with various activities which you are free to join in if you wish from aqua aerobics, water volleyball and much much more, only possible let down (minor really) is the evening entertainment which was mixed depending on what was happening. We cannot speak highly enough about it and will definatley be going back.
