“Buyer Beware. Very poor quality hotel. NOT 5 star!!!”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

I have just returned from a 2 week stay in this hotel & I can safely say the experience was not a good one! The facilities that had been advertised as part of the all inclusive package were mostly closed & those that were open were very poor quality. The air conditioned bar facilities were only open from 3pm though they were advertised as being available from 9am. At 11pm the air conditioning was turned off & the bar was 'packed away' - clearly trying to clear the bar of the few customers who were in it. The only other bar open in the hotel was the Sunrise pool bar. It only served drinks in IKEA plastic tumblers and NO FOOD was available at any time of day - despite this having been advertised as having late breakfasts & high teas etc. It didn't even have crisps, nuts or ice creams available! Luxury 5 star hotel? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The bedroom was of an exceptionally poor quality, with damaged & broken furniture. The bedding was badly stained & my curtains actually had holes in them as well as having several large spots of emulsion paint on them! The advertised restaurant was closed so we were relocated into the 'Flooka' in the sister hotel. The nearest I can describe this too in a UK context is an old fashioned Butlins type foodhall! The food was at best average, at worst - appalling! Main course dinner menu's included choices of Lancashire hotpot, steak pie, cottage pie, lasagne, various guises of chicken, fish that had been incinerated & all accompanied by the likes of chips, roast potatoes or mash! Egyptian foods were none existent except on the two 'oriental themed nights' (& even then choice was extremely limited). We complained to various duty managers 4 times - apologies were offered but no action was taken to address our complaints. We also spoke to at least 8 other couples/families who were also complaining & being bounced from duty manager to duty manager. In the end I wrote 2 detailed emails to the Jaz Mirabel resort manager asking for him to meet with me - needless to say he was not even polite enough to acknowledge receipt of my emails, never mind providing me with a detailed response or an apology. This sister Jaz Mirabel Beach hotel is also classified as a 5* hotel & was probably the only one in the complex that warrants it's star rating - unfortunately though we weren't allowed to use it's facilities unless we paid extra for this (not what was advertised at the time of booking!). On a good day I would rate the Jaz Mirabel Club as a 2/3* hotel. In NO WAY IS IT A 5 STAR HOTEL! I, along with fellow holiday makers were astounded by the 'Rave reviews' this hotel has received on Trip advisor. I don't know where these people went but it certainly wasn't the hotel I stayed in. BUYER BEWARE - this hotel is a NO GO zone & should be avoided at all costs.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel at all costs!

My husband and I stayed here 1-8 June 2014. Fabulous weather - averaged 40 degrees daily. Actually, far too hot for us, but glorious sunshine all day. We arrived last Sunday evening and shown to our 'Superior' room, which we paid extra for. This hotel was supposed to be a 5 star. Not a chance ! 3 at most, and that's being generous. We were given a superior family room, which had a queen sized bed - approx 6 foot wide, I think - with 4'6" wide sheets ! The quality of the sheets was extremely poor, the laundering of same equally poor standard. No mattress protector (mattress didn't bear to close a scrutiny or we wouldn't have slept on it). The net curtains were filthy and the thick curtains kept falling off the curtain rail each time we went to close them in the evening. If you take plug-ins for the mosquitos be warned that their plug sockets are sideways up, not side by side like ours are, so the liquid in the plug-ins tend to leak somewhat. The tiled floors were never wet-cleaned. Just a duster over a soft brush used to sweep them. The staff work VERY long hours and try to do their best, but I'm sorry, but their level of hygiene falls way below ours. We both ended up with what's called Pharoh's Revenge. Glasses, cups etc are not washed properly (at the pool bar just under a cold water tap). The food is varied, but like so many places abroad lacks any real taste. I read up on all hotels before I book them, and all I can say is that its down to personal expectations, and this hotel, sadly, came well below ours. It is not a 5 star hotel, and I feel hoodwinked by our Tour Operator for advertising it as such. Even the photographs showing the hotel belong to Jaz Mirabel Beach (the Club's sister hotel). I feel we paid an awful lot of money for something we had looked forward to so much, but which sadly fell well below our expectations. Thank you to all the staff there though because they were polite, courteous and friendly, and they all worked so very hard. The 2 couriers who took us to/from the hotel from Sharm Airport by private car were especially pleasant young men and very knowledgeable about Sharm el Sheikh. Unfortunately, we don't feel inclined to re-visit Egypt again after this unpleasant experience and disappointment. Other people may have different expectations and I wish to you all well, should you be visiting this hotel.

Room Tip: Just ask for any room that's been PROPERLY cleaned.

Booked a family holiday for 5 adults + 3 children at the Jaz Mirabel Club, Nabq. Had a fantastic time. The staff are second to none, never have we been treated so well. We were upgraded from a double room to a family room to have all 3 rooms next to each other even though there were only 2 adults on our room. The cleanliness is great in both the rooms and the complex. The food was slightly hit and miss but to be expected wherever we have been. The beach was great, not over crowded. A special mention to Monem and Santos who gave great service always with a smile but don't want to take any credit away from the rest of the staff whether in the Club the Park or the Hotel. Had 2 rides in a buggy! Joked with a security man about having a ride around and he phoned 1 to pick us up straight away and flagged the other whilst it was driving by! Nothing was a problem for them. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Our room (deluxe family room) overlooked the pool and gardens, lovely view.

Just got back yesterday from jaz mirabel club, known as the poor end of the complex. Not what we were expecting from the great reviews of the place. Lots of restaurants closed, food appalling, we complained on numerous occasions about the poor food. Be careful if you are expecting to eat in the a la carte restaurants as most people were under the impression they could eat in all of them once a week but not the case, after numerous complaints we were offered to eat in 2 of them, Chinese was very good and the Italian not so good. The night time entertainment was awful. Animation for kids none existent. Rooms ok and nice complex, lacks atmosphere, very quiet. 80% of the English people we had met had complained! some asking to be moved. People could not understand where the good reviews are coming from as more like a 3 star than a 5 star, did meet some good people and special thanks to santos on the club bar and Mohammed who sorted our sun loungers. Be careful if using the kids club as 2 kids we know got out, seemed ok when Katie was in charge of not don't go there. Would not recommend this hotel and will not return.

This is the 3rd time we have visited the Jaz Club & it just keeps getting better & better! The hotel & grounds are spotlessly clean & absolutely stunning!! Add to this the amazing staff & you have a perfect holiday!! Although all of the staff are brilliant, I must give a special mention to:
Sameh,,, who greets you with the loveliest of smiles & always makes sure you have everything you need to make your holiday perfect.
Mena,,, who is a waiter in the flooka bar, always smiling & watching to make sure you never wait too long for your drinks
Santos,,, I really appreciated all those refreshing Sunrise cocktails delivered straight to my sunbed
Mohamed,,, who kept the pool area spotless
Abdo,,, who cooked our omelettes & lunchtime snacks to perfection, always smiling even though he had to cook for so many people!!
Ahmad,,, best waiter in the restaurant!!
We were lucky enough to meet Sayed (head chef) & Ashraf who is responsible for the Club & Park restaurants, it is apparent after meeting them that they spend a lot of time researching what their guests want & going the extra mile to ensure they are happy.
On our last day we met the Resort General manager - Hisham Saied who was equally as kind & pleasant as his large team of staff. This is obviously the key to the success of the Jaz.
We had a fantastic holiday! Great food, great location, spotlessly clean, very spacious room & absolutely brilliant staff!!
We will be back again for sure!!
If you are thinking of holidaying here - you will not be disappointed.
Thank you Hisham & your team - we will see you again soon :o))) Mr & Mrs Draper xx

Booked a last minute deal and was recommended by a friend to choose this hotel. Stayed July 9th - 16th 2013.
Checking in was quick but the receptionist guy didnt talk great English.
Arrived to our room on the second floor, requested ground floor as we have a young child and a buggy (no lifts) but didnt get it maybe because we booked late their were no ground floor rooms left. That aside, the room was huge, nice comfy double bed, tv, fridge and a separate room (divided by a curtain) for our daughter. Nice big bathroom with walk in shower, very clean and well maintained. Nice balcony over looking the pool and great air-condioning.
The fridge stored water and other drinks at a charge..but dont drink the bottled water from the fridge as u can grab a couple of bottles of water from the bar and take them to your room free of charge.
Food was great at the main restaurant at the club, park restaurant wasnt as great (seemed like it was alot smaller and defo no air-conditioning) The choice of food and the service from the waiters was fab but they could probably do with more than one chef on the pasta and meat section as i was stood waiting for a while several nights while the rest of my food went cold.
A great variety of pastries, fruit and cakes for dessert.. Wont forget those!
Pools were lovely, the kiddies pool had a little slide which was a bonus as my 2 year old daughter loved it, the main pool started of shallow then became deeper, again great for my daughter and also great for sunbathing in :) Didnt try out any of the other pools at the Park or Beach as they seemed far too busy. The club is definitely the quietest out of them all.
The beach is the furthest away from the club, about a 10-15 walk, a pleasant walk through the gardens but extremely hot and abit hilly, but worth it once ur there as the beach is lovely. Its quiet and it had an endless amount of sunbeds and parasols. We had a couple of kids trying to sell us stuff but nothing that bothered us too much.. Beware though, avoid riding a camel before agreeing a price as the price is different each time, i heard a story that a young lady got on and the guy wouldnt let her off until her partner paid over 100 egyptian pounds!
Entertainment was ok, turkish belly dancers, discos for the kids and a magic show, but not my cup of tea, myself and my husband enjoyed a few evenings at the sheesha bar, (Near to the beach part of the complex.. Market square) cheap sheesha with a few drinks made our night. Very hot and sticky of a night though, so didnt stay out too long.
The only downsides to this hotel would be the lack of cold drinks.. It seemed as if every fridge they had was broken at the time.. very annoying in such hot weather! Also arranging our transfers back to the airport - the receptionist didnt want to help and it meant us using the phone in our hotel room to arrange this for us, but unable to get through we had to contact reception time and time again to sort it for us. All we wanted to know was what time we were getting picked up, surely it wasnt that hard?
Apart from that, i would recommend this hotel, perfect for a relaxing, sunbathing family break! Wouldnt hesitate on returning.

We're just back from the Jaz Mirabel after a very relaxing holiday. The rooms are spacious, clean and the food surpassed expectations.

Breakfast was varied and for me a fresh omelette is always a good start. The wine is not a sommellier's dream, but that's to be expected.

Other reviews note that the hotel is a little "tired" - maybe, but not at all bad in my experience and to be expected in a high temperature, high sun climate.

If you are there for kite surfing, it's a great base.
