This is such a beautiful place. The gardens are so well kept and so green! The pools, bars and beach area are very clean. We stayed for 7 nights from 19th April. Every day we were greeted by a marvelously cleaned room with a different towel design on the bed, incredible! The food was excellent and staff very friendly and attentive. Your glass was never empty for long. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to all who enjoy some peace and quiet with fantastic weather and luxury surroundings. Well done Tamra.

Excellent in every way. Where to start? Really nice, friendly and helpful Staff who would always go out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly for not only ourselves but also other guests. Beautiful hotel, with well tended, landscaped gardens. Rooms that were comfortable, clean and regularly 'maided'. Towel art- as the pictures show were always worth looking forward to. Snorkelling off the jetty or in the lagoon when the tide was in was excellent, with loads of Red Sea inhabitants to watch. Although next time we will bring our own shorty wetsuits and snorkelling kit to save the cost of renting them.
The food- excellent. A bonus of a hotel with lots of Italian Guests equals Italian Chefs. So not only was there local Egyptian dishes on offer every day, there was also top class Italian food choices. Honestly, I have always wanted to try the dish of sea bass baked in salt. I do believe that I may have forgot myself and had 2nd helpings!!!
OK, the negative comments all harp on about the hotel being geared towards Italian holiday makers. But honestly, we were made most welcome by all Staff, including the Italian entertainments team and guests of every Nationality. If I wanted to be surrounded by English tourists I would consider booking a holiday to Bournemouth or Benidorm. We would certainly consider a return visit next time we head to Egypt. Remember the Mozzie Spray!

Room Tip: They are all appear good, and the Reception happily helped us to choose a new room when we wished to...

We stayed at the Tamra from 17th April 2014. The reception staff were helpful throughout our stay. First impressions of the hotel were excellent. Clean, very flowery, all 6 pools were very clean. There is a steep hill to the reception but there is a vehicle to help. Our room was cleaned every day to a good standard by Mohamed who deserves an award for his towel folding. Food in the restaurant was cold. After it was reported to the rep Cheryl it was much better. The beach is excellent and snorkelling either in the shallow sea or off the end of the jetty is a definite must. Lots of fish, coral and if you're lucky you may see a turtle. The chaps on the end of the jetty are very friendly. If you are not a confident swimmer you can hire a life jacket from the nice people at the dive centre. The 2 people who really made our holiday were Negm and Hamada at the central bar. Hamada had us laughing all the time he was around. He mixes some lovely drinks especially screwdrivers and makes a good cup of tea. Nothing was too much trouble for these 2. The Egyptian night should be watched. We went to Hollywood which is brilliant for kids. You can get a taxi there for 50 Egyptian each way. Things that you must do while you are there .....Ride a camel, a visit to the Blue Hole in Abu Gallum , quad biking in the desert and the 7D cinema in Naama Bay. They are all excellent. I will definitely go back to Tamra which is the best compliment I can give it.

Room Tip: All rooms have either a garden, pool and sea view. Upper floors have the best sea views which is wel...

Just back from staying at the Tamra and as others have said it is very quiet due to no Italians staying at the moment. The gardens are beautiful , constantly cared for by a team of gardeners. It is very peaceful here at the moment, with the beach and jetty to snorkel from and five pools you are spoilt for choice. The food is of a high standard , chefs preparing pasta at dinner, pancakes and omelettes at breakfast, lots of salads, vegetables , rice, potatoes, fish and meat. Always fruit, cakes, local deserts.
The staff are all friendly and personable , they all work very long hours and really all deserve tips. They really appreciate English chocolate and sweets if you have any room in your suitcase.
Our family room was the size of a two bedroom flat, it had two bedrooms one with a king and one with two twin beds, lovely coming back to an immaculate room with clean , Egyptian cotton sheets and towel displays with flowers.
The drink situation already mentioned, really needs sorting. Plentiful beer, spirits and soft drinks but in the high temperatures out there it seems strange you have to pay for bottled water and can only get small cups from the dispenser. If you ask the bar waiters they will give you a larger glass but you can't fill a bottle.
You are invited to a welcome meeting which says 30% off but then you are not offered a discount when booking trips. We found Sharm club the best prices and very reliable, we booked airport transfers and trips online with them before the holiday , they were very reliable and offered a good service.
Overall this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, I would love to return .

Room Tip: All rooms in a lovely location.

WOW! I am writing this while still here, we arrived on Thursday 24th April in the evening, we turned up at reception with another couple and the foyer was completely empty and the first thought that ran though my head was what have we let ourselves in for. After speaking to reception about the lack of guests it became apparent that the hotel was normally 80% full of Italians which had told not to travel to Egypt at the present time.

The Room has to be one of the biggest we have stayed in, with a sofa, large double bed, desk, separate, Bath, Shower, Toilet and was very clean.

There was no more than 100 guests staying, which meant there were plenty of Sun beds, Seats and space in the pool, although I must say even if the Hotel was full, there is enough Beds, Chairs etc to go round.

Food was of good quality and fresh, although the choice was limited due to the amount of guests I think, however we did not go hungry.

Staff all great nothing is too much trouble for them and the 2 life guards on the jetty love British sweets we found out.

Coral is the best we have seen and have been out here a few times.

Message and Dive Centre, there is no hassle here they asked us once and have not been back.

As we have been to Sharm a number of times this Hotel would certainly get our vote for a revisit.

Russians are few and far between at this hotel.

Room Tip: Room Stayed 6105 - Ground floor, AC is very good and preforms effectively
