“Fantastic two weeks!”
Reviewed 27 August 2010

I have just returned from two weeks staying in the Sea Garden Hotel. I was really impressed with the size of the rooms and how spotless they were kept. It was very hot but the AC worked well and so it was easy to sleep at night. The mini fridge in the rooms was really handy to keep water cool.
The food was good, although a little repetitive. I managed to not get ill, however I was quite careful about what I ate and I know a lot of people did get tummy upsets.
The beach is just a short walk away and it is really pretty. The water is like bath water, however I would take water shoes as the coral is very sharp and there are lots of anemones etc. The fish there are beautiful! We were told by other people who had been to Sharm that mosquitos were a problem but we didn't see one and had no bites at all! The Sea Garden Hotel seemed to be the quietest hotel and the pool was lovely but sometime a little loud with the music playing and you will need to get up early to reserve a lounger! The music could be quite loud at night too but only if you wanted to go to bed before 11.
The evening entertainment was quite poor but it was nice to chill out with a cold drink in the bar. There are some hotel staff who try to sell things but were not at all persistent and they quickly left you alone if you told them politely you were not interested. The staff there work so hard and couldn't have been friendlier.
We went to Namma bay one night on the shared taxi which can be booked at the Sea Life reception but only went there once as it was very tacky, dirty and there was a lot of hassle from the locals. However we had a nice meal in the Hard Rock Cafe there. We went on the desert safari trip and a snorkelling trip which were both great fun and value.
All in all a fantastic holiday, be prepared for the heat if you go in August as it is very hot throughout the day and night! It was not too hot to sunbathe though!

Just got back from Sea garden hotel in August 2010. The service was excellent and especially once you have left a tip.

Unfortunately the all inclusive package ends at 23:00 but at a small price you can still get drinks as long as you want through the night, sometimes sat at the lobby bar with a family we met whilst away (the Johnstons from Liverpool).

Sunbeds are a bit of nightmare but thanks to Mr Sea Club (Dave) they were well reserved.

Met some good people whilst staying there, english familys as well as Egyption workers. The egyptions working at the hotel at the time of visit were celebrating ramadam couldnt eat or drink throughout the day but still managed to keep good spirit bearing in mind the hot climate.

PS dont feed the fish!!!!!

We really enjoyed are stay here with excellent facilities, food was nice but not a huge choice, catered mainly for the German and Russian guests thoughout the 3 Hotels.
Are main problem with the 3 Hotels was the sales people always bothering you selling trips, beauty treaments, newspapers, photos I do accept that they have a job to do but to keep bothering you every single day 2 or 3 times a day on a relaxing holiday is just not acceptable at all,.
The service staff, The clearners, Bar staff, Cooks and reception were all very nice.

We stayed at The Sea Garden Hotel. This is one of the three hotels in the Sea Life complex. Our room was very clean and spacious, consisting of a huge main bedroom with a TV in it (5 english channels including two movie )and a seperate double bedroom with a spacious bathroom. Pool area just brillant in all hotels. Sea Garden is the quieter hotel, we felt totally relaxed through out our stay. Excursion sales reps do come around the pool area selling their stuff, just say no thanks and they are fine. We went on the glass bottom boat trip cost £12 each (knocked him down from £15 ) They picked us up from Hotel took us to the boat (amazing) and back to the hotel (2 1/2 hours) Good value.
The exchange rate was 8.75LE to £1 in the bank in Sea Club Hotel. Gardens are lovely.
Food was Excellant in all the resturants and snack bars (our opinion out of this world)
Tea and coffee avaiable all day. Beware All Inclusive stops at 11pm. Tip them well and you are made up. (20le now and again goes a long way. ) Bottle of water available from all bars, stock up your fridge. My son and I had a upset stomach for two days went to the chemist and sorted us for £12. No problem. Take Mozzy stuff My wife got bitten but not too bad. Got to mention SAM the MAN in the shopping Bizzare in Sea Life (outside) if you want a bargain he's your man. Snorkling was like being in a fish tank. Wireless internet available they have computers to use £3.50 half hour. We could not fault anything 'JUST PERFECT'

A good 4 star hotel, we enjoyed our one week stay.

Location: Sea Garden is one on the three Sea Group hotels situated together not far from Sharm El Sheikh airport. It is the smallest and the quietest of the three. Sea beach is a short walk away (Sea Life and Sea Club are seaside hotels while Sea Garden is not). Outside the hotels, there's only desert - no shops or other entertainment close by. Unlike in Naama Bay or Nabq Bay, you can't just walk out of hotel to have fun.

Rooms: Suites are very spacious and well-maintained. Living room has one large (though not a king-size) bed and a small TV. Also, there is an antechamber with two smaller beds. Room safe and a real refrigerator are also nice to have. Bathroom is large, but lighting there could be better. Doors have old-style keys, not keycards.

Pool: Hotel has one large pool with two areas - smaller for kids and large with 5'-something depth for adults. Sunbeds are typically available, though best ones are always taken early. Note that you can go to any of the other two hotels' pools. Towel card system, fresh towels may not be available in late afternoons.

Sea/Beach: Available at Sea Life/Sea Garden hotels, it’s about 5 minute walk from Sea Garden. Plenty of sunbeds. The beach is a mix of stone, sand and corals, it’s better if you have your aquashoes on. At the beach, the sea is very shallow, but very calm and water can get real hot, like a bathtub. 50-100 meters away is the reef, and the sea depth drops to some 8-10 meters right after the reef. There is one jetty, at the Sea Life side, and it was always busy. Snorkeling was not as good as I expected – the current was strong, and most people were just hanging around the bottom of jetty’s platform. The situation there I can describe as "human soup". If you are strong swimmer, try getting away from the pack, or get fins, or, better yet, go to snorkeling boat trip.

Restaurant: You can go to any of the three hotels’ restaurants. Food is similar between all of them, but the variety is the best at 5-star Sea Life. At the Sea Garden, food was decent, but not really outstanding. Funny thing – when we went to Petra trip, which starts at 3AM, hotel prepared a boxed breakfast for us. Boxes had bread rolls, butter and spreads, but absolutely nothing to pick these spreads with.

Staff: Staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Mostly, the do not solicit tips and do what is expected without them. Shortly, it’s much better than in other places in Sharm El Sheikh, almost as good as in El Gouna.

Pros: Nice, friendly, quiet, amenities of 3 hotels for the price of 1.

Cons: Mosquitos!!! Sea is a bit far away and not so comfortable for swimming.

The Sea Garden Resort is the smaller of the three Hotels.
The other two are The Sea Life and Sea Club Hotels. You can use them all. They are all in the same grounds a short distance apart.
The Hotels are literally 10 mins from the airport which personally i think is great.
My type of Holiday is relaxation with good food and drink. I'm not interested in travelling all over the place.

The Hotel is a three star hotel. It is spotless, the rooms are fully air conditioned and clean. We had a suite which had two very large rooms, two Tv's, mini fridge, safe etc.
You can find faults if you look but go with an open mind.

The restaurants are none smoking thankfully and sometimes you have to queue to get in but don't be put off by this.
The food is the usual Eqyptian fare which is different everynight and of a very good standard.

The Gym Facility is good and you must have the massages, i paid £100 English for six.
The Dawn quad biking is also great i paid £55 English for two double bikes for the four of us.

The Pool is great, early start for the beds though, 6.30am at the latest.
Entertainment is a laugh, all Russian, Ukraine and Italian. Not a lot for the English.
Amongst all the foreign Italian and Russian posers though i beat them all and won Mr Sea Club 2010 !

The beach is not soft sand. It is a bit like gravel but you must go to the end of the Jetty to snorkle it's really good and having paid for snorkling trips in the past it's better at the jetty and free. ( Don't feed the fish Nathans pack lunch though, Paul from the steel works ! )

Top tips for Eqytian Holidays:

1) Eat the yoghurt. Trust me, even if you do not like it eat some every day. Yoghurt contains natural GOOD bacteria, Egyptian bacteria that is and that will counteract the BAD Egyptian bacteria result, no bad stomach ! I have never suffered a bad stomach in Egypt when others around me were dropping like flies. Even those with bad stomaches once i told them to eat yoghurt they did and hey presto they were fine after a day or so.

2) Smile, believe me this goes a long way as the other nationalities dont know how to. Call the staff by their name, it's on their badge and shake hands, engage conversation. Simple English manners that go a long way with the staff.

3) Find your way around the Hotels first first and when you find a bar or restaurant you like tip all staff. If you are a large party go to the front of the qeue and tell the staff member at the restaurant door. They will seat you almost straight away avoiding the queue.
Tip £20 Egyptian, £2.20p and watch the results. We barely had to ask for a drink. It got to the stage were Atab ( the waiter) would reserve a table for us.
Tip the room cleaner the same and watch the results.

4) This particular Hotel has a bank so there is no need to take any Egyptian money. The exchange rate is better over there and they prefer English money anyway when booking or paying for anything.

All in all a great relaxing holiday we met some great people, special hello to David (used car salesman from Scunthorpe) and family a great bunch and Scouse Neil and Family and also Paul and family who got us all bit by the fish whilst feeding them.

I would definatey consider returning to this hotel and would recommend this group of hotels to all.
I've been to Egypt five times now but still nothing compares to the LTI Garnd Azzure in Sharm.
Have a good holiday.
