“Friendliest hotel I have been to!”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

This hotel has to be one of the most friendliest and accommodating hotels that i have ever been to. The staff couldn't do enough for you and always made you feel welcome. Special thanks to our waiter Zac, Ahmed who served us drinks and Baboo and the fantastic animation crew for always putting on a good show and involving everyone (if you wanted).

The location of the hotel is amazing, there are a lot of shops and things to do in the area. We recommend you go on the boat trip and snorkelling, it was one of the most amazing things that we have ever done. Also the quad bike and Bedouin experience was brilliant.

All of the rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy, fresh towels everyday. Could do with a little TLC as well as free Wifi, as the hotel was quite expensive charging for it. The food was fine, just what you would expect from an all inclusive holiday, although the on site al a carte Italian Restaurant was very nice.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, fantastic staff, friendly people, amazing location and excursions and a fabulous holiday in Egypt. The hotels motto is 'Come as a guest and leave as a friend' which is so true.

we stayed in the may half term and it was really good. everywhere was clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly. the service was 5star in the restaurant and the food was lovely. our room was really nice but our air conditioning played up, so after speaking to the hotel management, they were so conserned that they upgraded us to a newer room with a private pool! they even offered us a suite but we said they should go through the trouble so if the manager of the rooms is reading this, we are the hunt family and very happy with our stay at your hotel!

we stayed at the oriental resort from 5/6/2014 to 19/6/2014. It was a bit hit and miss.

the room we had was fine (354), however, the water pressure in the shower was either there or not. hard to have a wash with a trickle of water.

the food was again ordinary. breakfast was fine but the other meals were not as good. ate out most of the time@ mc d's-tgi and other places nearby.

the hotel itself was very nice, clean most of the time except the toilets in reception which were a disgrace, people just throwing stuff on the floor when there are bins provided (mainly Egyptians on holiday)

would like to say a big thank you to Hany and Zak in the main restaurant. Mohammed and Mahmoud at the beach bar and Ali at the smaller pool for making our holiday enjoyable.

thanks also to our room cleaner Sayed.

if you want to book any trips use Time Tours located on the beach and see Kanye/Bob Marley, we used them for a quad biking trip and it was great

we would come back to this hotel but prefer Laguna Vista Garden

Dear Guest,

Your feedback at Trip Advisor is very appreciated by the Management , just I would like to comment on the point of Lobby Toilets is due to very high occupancy with a lot of Egyptians and Jordanians with a lot of children, the Houseman can not clean the toilets while women inside, so he has to wait until the toilets were unoccupied in order to enter and clean it, but anyhow we apologize for that.
Thank you for posting your feedback and we would like to see you again in the near future.

My friend and I had both worked in Sharm previously and wanted a relaxing week in the sun, which is exactly what we got!

We arrived about 8pm and checked in straight away and were upgraded to a superior room for free! We were told to go have some food and our cases would be taken to our rooms, which was fab.

The bellboys can't do enough for you, they brought us new bathrobes as well as fresh fruit and filled up the mini fridge with cans of juice.

The food at this hotel isn't the best, but not the worst. Lunch time was always my favourite, the pasta station where you could choose any sauce should be available at dinner time as well as that is what I mostly ate. The beach bar also had some good selections of food and fast service.

As my friend and I worked in animation before, we expected the animation team to get a bit more involved with us but only Mido and Kimo said hello and would ask us to join in activities, they were great. I understand that some were from Italy/Russia, however English guests should be made to feel welcome as well. An English animator at this hotel would be a good idea.

We spent most of our days at the beach relaxing as the pool was a bit too noisy and full of children screaming (which we didn't mind) haha.

What made our trip would be Kanye West aka Bob Marley/Sayed. He made us feel so welcome and would come and check on us every day which we really appreciated. He is an asset to this hotel and should get more credit. We ended up booking a 2 hour private speedboat trip with him which took us to Tiran Island which was amazing. The scenery was unreal and the snorkelling was impressive, would definitely do it again.

Overall, we had an amazing trip and would happily come back to this hotel if the food got a bit better.

This is my 4th trip to Sharm.
After a long wait with great excitement to go to this hotel i was most dissapointed when we settled into our 10 night stay, the staff were mostly really nice especially Mo from the dive centre highly reccommend going on the snorkelling trip best £20 you will spend (I love you Mo!) Ali at the pool by the beach was the best ever and could not do enough for you, Kanya West was a cheeky chappy.
Room in the new block is a must as that was the best bit ( Horrid view but good room)
All the bar staff were fab a little tip here and there and you will be looked after.
Italian restaurant is fab.
La Strada opposite was good as was the Three Crowns Pub fantastic food and good price and it's run by British!
The entertainment team were lacking in Entertainment, we were expecting more fun!

Big:: Negatives were the lack of hygeine at this hotel the cleaning was almost non exsistent!! the toilets were absolutley disgusting and stunk vile the only clean ones were at the beach!
The pool was rarely clean and far to many trip hazards, to many kids screeching and up late at night running riot
Food was lacking flavour although i lost weight i was not ill just didnt like the food.
This hotel is cleary not suited for the polite Brits as it was full of rude obnoctious Russians & Jordanians! Dont bother queing Brits just barge through to the front as they do.
If you are looking for R & R dont go here.
The best bit about our holiday was the fabulous friends that we made on the 1st night without them it would have been aweful.

Im sorry but i have to be honest, and No i will definatley not be returning to this hotel!

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for posting your feedback at Trip Advisor. I would like only to clarify the negative point of public toilets as the houseman is not allowed to enter the toilets for cleaning while guests are inside especially women, during the very high occupancy and while we have more that 700 adult and child , the public toilets are rarely unoccupied and the houseman can not prevent people to go inside, but we will try to find out solution concerning that issue.
We are multinational resort with many different mentalities and not exclusivity for Bris only and it is an asset to our hotel as we try to make them all happy.
I would like to thank you gain for your feedback and we are looking forward to see you in the future.

the oriental resort is in all honesty very ordinary. Good points are the staff, room was great, pool facilities good. not so good points were the lack of cleaning in the reception toilets on an evening. If you go in about 8-30 onwards there is no paper towels left as the electric dryer was broken for the whole 2 weeks and most were on the floor. Nothing major but not good all the same. We didn't get our bath towels changed in the room until approx 7 pm most evenings, although the dirty ones were removed ,so couldn't get a shower until then. In the main pool sometimes there were ice cream cartons in the water and sometimes there the next day. The animation team were really nice but only had a weeks programme so therefore had to watch same things again second week, which like most Egyptian hotels wasn't very good anyway. tHe sound system went on and off at different times most days by the pool and wasn't working at all for the first 3days at the amphitheatre. ,and finally the hotel must be 90% Russians . I think they thought every meal they had would be there last, the amount of food they piled on the plates and then left. There personalities leave a lot to be desired lets say. Food -- lots of it but very average, the usual for all inclusives in Egypt . It sounds like I'm having a good old moan but realistically everything about this hotel is very average, nothing very good except the attitude and effort of the staff, but nothing very bad. I just think that to improve there rating from 19/26 on trip advisor they would just have to improve some of the things I've mentioned to probably be about 10/26. Would I return to this hotel? No, I've been to the sierra at sharks bay and the three corners in El Gouna and both were better. Hope this is of help to anyone thinking of going to Egypt and deciding on a hotel.

Room Tip: We were in room 4308 and it was excellent
