“Another superb stay at our "2nd home".....Rixos Sharm.."we love you" !!”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

Yet another excellent stay at Rixos Sharm-El-Sheikh. This was our 5th visit, so that should speak for itself.
Hospitality is second to none and staff efficiency and friendliness is above expectations. The hotel is well deserving of its 5 stars in every aspect. Excellent choice of A La Carte dining and a good system now in operation for booking. Food choice and quality and presentation exceptionally good in all restaurants. A good selection of food always available in the buffet restaurants. Excellent choice of pool areas and the gardens are extremely well kept. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. Always plenty of hot water available. We have recommended this hotel to our family & friends who have also had a superb stay and have returned! Every single member of staff works tirelessly to ensure that guests have a wonderful stay and their service, attention to detail and friendliness are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble! We look forward to our next stay and to see all our friends we have made there again! It seems unfair to single out members of staff because they all excel in their jobs, and will always remember you on a return visit, but special thanks to the following for always making our holidays extra special:
Wael (FOH) Kelly Bella OLeysa (Guest relations) Alaa (F&B) Tarek (Restaurant manager) Abdelfatah (Chef) Samir Miroo (Bartender) Ibrahim Saber (Nefertiti & Zodiac), Ahmed Elsaka & Ahmed Elmgad (Lifeguards) Adm Mohamed (Tides beach restaurant) Karim (Bell captain) Thank you very much Carole & Alan Thackray-Jones See you all next year!!

When entering the lobby/ reception on the first evening, gobsmacked. Huge and marvellous. Didn't disappoint from there. Large rooms, good food, excellent pools and superb service. One minor complaint was that at the Seafood restaurant we were given bogus information re the prawns: sixty Egyptian pounds per kilo extra. Didn't seem too bad so 4 of us had 2 kilos. Meaty and tasteless and few days later left in shock when bill showed 2 x £60 sterling not the £6 per couple we were expecting. No budging by management either which was very disappointing.
That aside most other things were great and this resort highly recommended .
A drawback away from the resort was the appalling Thos Cook airline trip. Squeezed in like sardines. Just be aware if this and enjoy Rixos.

Coming to the end of a 2 week holiday and had a brilliant time! Have to give a special mention to a few members of staff, firstly PETER the barman at the oasis pool bar, he went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome and worked tirelessly making sure we had plenty of drinks during the day, always with a smile and a bit of banter, a real gem and a credit to the hotel!!! Other members of staff worth mentioning are LUCA and SAM from animation, ALI, ALLAH AND AHMED the lifeguards at the oasis pool and water slides! They all made our holiday such fun! Will definitely come back!

My Family and I have just returned from a 9 day break at Rixos in Sharm El Sheikh. Everything about this resort is perfect! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and the attention from the staff was excellent. Our luggage was transported by golf buggy to our suite (block 19) and we were overwhelmed by the size and quality of the suite. There was a bed each for the 4 of us and an amazing amount of space in the dressing room and bathroom. At no point did we feel squashed - although the children did complain about noise from snoring!
We went straight over to the Zodiac restaurant as it was very close to the end of dinner and were immediately shown to a table and drinks brought for us. The waiter then pointed us in the direction of the barbecue section and also advised where all the other buffets where. Although it was close to the end of service there was plenty of choice and it was all very tasty.
As we were tired from travelling we just had a couple of drinks in the lobby bar (where there was a celebration of 1 year as a Rixos hotel going on). The service and drinks were excellent and the England game was being shown :) We did not think things could get any better! How wrong we were!
From start to finish our stay at the Rixos was exceptional. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. In particular Mahmoud Ayez Mahmoud in the Zodiac restaurant and 'Tommy' at the Lagoon bar were a credit to the hotel and should be congratulated on the level of service and hard work they put in to making your stay as relaxing as possible.
The pools and gardens were all beautiful and very well maintained. The entertainment team were visible but not intrusive as were the sales people from the diving centre and spa. We politely said 'No Thank you' on the first day and we were left in peace after that.
We went to the Chinese, Italian and Indian restaurants during our stay and the food in all of them was excellent. The staff were always helpful and attentive. Tides snack bar is good for lunch too as it makes a change from the buffets to order & have your food brought to you. Again the staff there were fantastic.
The beach was beautiful and as the rest of the hotel very clean and well maintained.
We are already trying to book for next October as we cannot wait to return. This is the first time I have ever been so impressed by a hotel that I wanted everyone else to know about it! Although part of me wants to keep it a secret too!

My husband and I absolutely loved the Rixos Sharm, it definitely deserves 5 stars. The wristbands were trendy, much nicer than the usual plastic band. We booked a deluxe room which was huge and very comfortable. Our room was close the Nefertiti Restaurant (adult only)which is where we preferred to eat, our only disappointment was that it closed for the last 3 days of our holiday. We also enjoyed several lunches at the beach restaurant where the service was fantastic. We ate in the Chinese and Seafood restaurant, both were very good.
Our days were spent around the lagoon pool and the guys (Hesham and Mahmoud) behind the pool bar made our holiday, they were so hard working but always had time to be friendly to us. Sadly, Mamoud was put somewhere else to work for the last couple of days we were there so we couldn't thank him properly.
We have been to several 5 star hotels over the years and this is one we would certainly return to
I do agree with an earlier comment that an adult only pool would be a bonus.
