“The best hotel in sharm!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Just returned from the Rixos as a family of four including two young children for 10 nights, on arrival we were quickly checked in and taken to our room (all stress free)
Our room. Deluxe- excellent the mini bar was stocked up daily, large bathroom with shower and bath, lots of towels, robe and slippers, we loved the towel animals left by the cleaners everyday, if you want to push the boat out the swim up rooms look over the sea with a private plunge pool (very nice)
The pools...lots of different pools to suit around 10, the cave pool was a nice if you wanted to get out of the sun and the best bit no mad rush to get a sun bed as there were plenty, you get a towel card so don't need to bring towels, the swim up bar was nice, you can ask for a red flag for your sunbed and you will not get harassed by people selling trips and spa treatments.
The beach... Lovely sandy beach lots of beds, lovely food on the beach front restaurant, not much room for swimming from shore as its mainly coral but a short walk along the jetty and its amazing for anyone who likes snorkelling you see some fantastic fish and its 25 meters deep so invest on a good snorkel.
The food...We always had something nice to eat in zodiac restaurant, my two liked the fresh waffles with warm chocolate sauce, we tried the Chinese and Indian as well, lots of bb-q meats and fish something for all tastes, lovely desserts :)
The staff.. All very nice they would go out of their way to do nice things, my children really liked Amr he was fantastic with them and they looked out for him every day, we were called in our room to make sure we were happy and felt really spoilt.
This was our 3rd trip to Egypt and by far the best hotel we have stayed in it looks impressive compared to most of the others and we cannot find a fault with it, we had a brilliant time and will be looking in to returning again.

Room Tip: upgrade to a plunge pool room if you want a nice sea view

We have just had 10 days at the Rixos Hotel.
The hotel is very large with lots of pools. We always went to the quieter pools, and had 10 days just relaxing, which is why we went in the first place. There are 2 buffet restaurants, one which is adult only. Plus 7 other A La Ca-rte restaurants, which we tried (Except the one which charges extra, as we were all inclusive). They were all ok but the best was the Egyptian restaurant - obviously as they should be good at that.
The rooms are excellent. Very large & clean. Air conditioning a bit noisy. There is entertainment at night & we did see a couple of shows, but to be honest I do like my sleep, so we weren't that bothered about seeing the shows.
The staff are excellent. All seem to care & even when I was ill, did go out of their way to make sure I was catered for.
All in all a good hotel, which we have no problem in recommending.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor overlooking the pool. Deluxe Room.

What an amazing week at Rixos Sharm El Sheikh. My husband, young son (19 month old) and I spent a fantastic week there at the beginning of May. When we checked in we were given an upgrade to a deluxe room and asked if we would prefer a pool view room or a garden view room, and we were advised that the garden view room would be quieter during the day, if the baby wanted to sleep, so we opted for this. The room was massive and very clean with a free minibar topped up every day. No complaints about the room and it was indeed very quiet (apart from the air conditioning but our son sleeps through all noise and we got used to it after one night)

The food - absolutely out of this world eating. Its a great idea to have one buffet restaurant for families and one for adults only so anyone without kids wanting a peaceful meal can have that. The same thing is served in both buffets (I looked at both) and the choice was so varied. Yes the same things do crop up but there is so much, you can easily eat differently every day. We tried the a la cartes too - egyptian (so good we went twice) - where we ate a 6 course feast, so delicious, seafood restaurant, italian and sushi. We enjoyed our meals in all but i do highly recommend the egyptian and the seafood came a close second for me. If you love sushi dont bother with the sushi restaurant. It was OK, but there wasnt much choice and the waiters here were so rushed off their feet that the service fell short here. However this didnt affect my enjoyment, we can all have a bad day at work. I also recommend the seafood shack for lunches during the day - the pizzas are delicious and its less hectic than the family buffet.

There is also snorkelling off the jetty but you have to either bring your own equipment or buy it at the hotel.

Booking the a la carte on the machine is easy enough but if you are finding that you cant get availability just go to guest relations who are very friendly and are very happy to help by calling the restaurant on your behalf.

also - we both had massages, i had a thai massage and my husband a sports massage. Mine was one of the best I ever had with a thai lady. my husband enjoyed his massage but he said he had better. If you book more than one massage you can negotiate on cost - dont book directly with the spa but with one of the salespeople who walk around the beach or complex. Dont get the red flag straight away if you want to do this.

Room Tip: If you have a baby/toddler who sleeps during the day, ask for a garden view room as it is very noisy...

I went to several and many hotels worldwide, but Rixos sharm al shaikh is for sure one of the most excellent hotels i have ever seen.

The food is so great and it contains worldwide dishes with great taste and wide variety.

The staff are very friendly and kind. The activities are non stop and are very interesting.

Everything is so great and if i want to visit Sharm again, for sure i am going to Rixos.
More than amazing!!

From the moment we stepped into the rixos until the time we left we were treated like royalty, we have had a truly memorable holiday, upon arrival we were given a room upgrade from a superior to a deluxe room, the rooms are very well equipped and very large, the grounds are immaculate, I have never seen lawns so green and well tended at any other hotel I've stayed in. The food is of a very high standard and monitored very closely by the staff in charge, the entertainment was also very good and varied, their was something to suit all tastes, I really enjoyed having a drink in the piano bar, each time we went there I felt like I was in the Waldorf!! We spent most of our days on the beach , the snorkeling was really good, and if your not confident to swim in the deep water by the reef, if you just walk a short wag to the left just past the next hotels jetti you can snorkel there it's shallow and you will see almost as many fish as there is in the deeper water, there are quite a few shops to stroll around outside the hotel, but if you want to go father afield into narma bay the hotel provides a free shuttle bus twice a day, if your thinking of booking this hotel go for it you won't be disappointed, we will definitely be going back next year or sooner if we can get it at a good price...any questions please feel free to ask and I'll answer the as honestly as I can

Room Tip: Rooms near the quiet pool are central to all amenities

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.. Booking in was so easy, and we were made to feel at home straight away. I can not say enough about this hotel, from reception to the cleaners, gardeners, waiters, every one of the hotel staff made you feel special. The staff can not do enough for you. The grounds are amazing, the food was very good, esp, in the a la carte"s. The beach was very good, very windy most days so sea was a bit rough,i think it was a bonus having the wind because it kept the temp, down. You get hassled a bit on the beach to book trips if you get a red flag from the towel man then you are left alone. Staff that went that extra mile and stood out was Ibrahim, Kamel in the Zodiac Restaurant. Basseem in the papyrus a la carte. and Romeo, from the entertainment. But as i said all and i mean all the staff are a credit to this hotel. The only two negatives was the rude russians, and a hard bed. Apart from that i can not fault this hotel one bit, if any gives a bad review then there is something wrong with them because i have stayed in the riu hotels around the world and i have to say this hotel even beets the riu group. Can not wait to go back to this hotel, and i would recomend this hotel to anyone for a GREAT HOLIDAY. Thank you all at the Rixos for a Brilliant two weeks holiday from steve and lorna Harper ps the Air con was brilliant.

Room Tip: We had a room by the water slides it was quite, and close to both pools
