We stayed here in April as a couple for 10 days . The good points first.. the resort and rooms were very clean, the rooms cleaned everyday. The pools are lovely I preferred the larger infinity pool as it was much quieter and relaxing , the beach was nice although we only went twice. The staff make the hotel ,they are so polite and nothing is too much trouble they remembered our drink after the first time. Although the hotel is very nice it defiantly is not luxury. Now the bad points.... the animation team, are quite annoying they do not leave you alone I suppose that's the reason I liked the infinity pool as you don't get hassled as much but as for the main pool they come round every half an hour asking if you want to join in and they don't take no for answer, if I wanted to join in then I would. Again the animation team at night are the same and some of the shows the put on were cringe worthy but the other shows the hotel got entertainment in for ( fire show etc) were amazing I think they need to this every night. . The food is ok, nothing special. Both restaurants are awful, don't bother trying them . The food in the day was good pizzas, chips, burger etc. We ate out quite a few times.. in naama bay and soho square both are worth a visit especially the indian at soho square the food is amazing !! We also went on a trip quad biking in the desert which was good we booked it though the hotel which we was told to do as its safer. The weather was fantastic. All in all we did have a fantastic holiday and would defiantly return to Egypt but probably not this hotel .

We stayed at the Cleopatra from 14 - 21 June 2014 and after a delayed flight was greeted with a warm welcome, showed to our room which had a cold buffet and was told we could have a drink at the bar (although the all inclusive had ended) which was a nice touch.
We were unhappy with our room (just because of the location) and asked to move which was done without any problem. The new room was in a quiet location overlooking the infinity pool and the sea.
Could not fault the cleanliness of the room, towels changed daily, bottled water in the fridge daily. The only thing we didnt get was the nice towel displays on the bed each day (which they did in the rooms near reception).
The 5 course meal in the italian restaurant was very good, the food in the grill bar by the beach was acceptable for lunch (although quite a varied menu was the same every day), the main restaurant was varied with a lot of choice (the only negative was that on some occasions the food was not hot enough).
The entertainment was not to our choice although a lot of the guests seemed to enjoy it.
I would like to mention Hanay the pool attendant at the infinity pool. What a lovely man, so attentive, towels were on our beds every morning, umbrellas up when needed and was there to make sure you were in the shade if you wanted to be. So polite and happy even at the end of a long day was still smiling. Also Mohamed, the waiter at the infinity pool. What can i say, what a dream, knew exactly what we drank, would find us if we had gone for a swim to give us our drinks. Again what a lovely polite man who also smiled even after a long day and could never do enough for us. Mohamed had a well deserved day off on our last Friday and the service was undoubtedly poor, also Hanay returned to his home town on our last day for a well deserved holiday, and again the service was poor. Not once did the guy come to our sunbeds, even watched us put the umbrella up. What a shame because without these last 2 comments it would have been 100% for service.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and if we were to return to Sharm would definitely come back to the Cleopatra. Thank you for a lovely relaxed holiday.

Room Tip: We had room 5102 which had an amazing view overlooking the infinity pool and beach.

Let me start by saying that this review is mine and my wife's opinion. We do not listen or report other peoples thoughts.
Firstly, the resort is immaculately clean.
The gardens, which they were working on, could be a little neater tho.
The staff , Ahmed in the bar, Mohammed at the market place buffet and Abdul our room cleaner were exceptional in their manner and work ethic.Nothing was too much bother.
The entertainment team all worked hard and engaged with all old and young to make sure they were having a good time.
We were in room 1012 in the main block which previous reports had said to stay away from but we found very clean, quiet and you could look over the activity pool and just about see the sea and it was a short walk to the lobby bar and restaurants, which was very handy.
The only thing that lets this resort down is the food.
Breakfast was ok, standard omelettes, boiled eggs, and the like.
Lunch in the market place was very nice, good selection of salads but little selection of hot food.
The thing that lets it down is the evening meal.
Fairly bland, little selection ie- 1 x rice, 1 x type of potato etc. and sometimes we found to be very cold.
I did mention this to the catering staff and on our last day at lunchtime they sat us down and brought to us a beautiful vegetable soup followed by steak and chips and then a selection of deserts after which the chef and the head caterer came and talked to me and I think, it was very constructive.
Would we go back?
After going to Egypt for the last ten years, if, they sorted the food out I would be back like a shot.
Come on Cleopatra, you have it in you to be the best Resort in Nabq bay with a few tweeks and you would deserve it.

Room Tip: Managed to get wifi in my room on a tablet

I stayed at this hotel for 9 days in May and safe to say we didn't want to come home!
The hotel staff can't do enough for you and the waiters were all really attentive. The grounds of the hotel are amazing, so many beautiful plants and palm trees and everything is kept clean and tidy. The pools were great and the beach is just a few steps down from the hotel. The hotel has its own private jetty which you can snorkel off of, we saw some great fish down there so definitely make use of this if you can! The food was really good, hardly repetitive at all - except for the breakfast which was beef/chicken sausages or some kind of egg every morning.

No complaints at all, feels like a real luxury hotel - would gladly go back!

P.S. Tip: buy a cheap snorkel before you go, or if you get there and havent got one - buy one from the shops down the street. The hotel shop will try and charge you £15 whereas I managed to get one for £5 by bartering at the other shop.

After reading the reviews of this hotel me and my boyfriend were so excited to see it for ourselves and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations!
On arrival we was greeted with drinks and checked in with no hassle, we was then taken to our room on a golf buggy and given a tour of all the grounds and pools etc.
The room was fab, big and spacious, with a big bathroom and shower, as well as a balcony which over looked the main pool and the sea, the view was amazing.

The staff are amazing, they honestly cannot do enough to help you. Hany the towel man always put our towels out for us in the mornings, exactly where we wanted them, he was always on hand to get us an umbrella and always wanted a chat, he was lovely. Mohammad also worked so hard around the pool, always making sure everyone had drinks - we was sometimes over looked by him, but really you cant blame him when he is always on his feet!
Ahmed by the lobby bar is also a star, always bringing over fresh drinks just as we put our finished ones down!
The entertainment team were also decent, there was one guy (didnt get his name, but you will know him!) who was CRAZY, he was always running round, very energetic and crazy with the guest, but he was equally as nice.

The hotel and the beaches etc were just as nice... hotel was always clean and rooms were cleaned daily, as well as fresh bottles of water every day which was a massive plus as it was so hot! and the towel art never failed to amaze us! - Beach was lovely, although we didnt get a chance to snorkel as it was very rocky and we didnt have any beach shoes and usually the red flag was up as it was very choppy, buy was still nice to go and have a look!
We tended to stay around the infinity pool as it was more quiet and we had really nice views of the sea, but we did go and sit in the pool bar one day and its equally as pretty, but just not as quiet as this is the pool where the acitivites and music is played. The family pool is easy to miss, we only found it on our last day! it is right near the entrance to the hotel and it always empty, perfect for families who have small children.

The only thing that I would say is that the food did get a bit samey, but that is the same with most all inclusive hotels, we always managed to find something to eat though! We visited the two al carte restaurants during our stay, Fellini, the Italian wasn't good at all, infact me and my boyfriend felt very ill after eating there, but Red Sea Wharf, the fish restaurant was lovely, you have a nice table looking over the sea and the food was wonderful! - albeit a bit windy!

We was lucky enough not to get ill, although we was very careful due to the reputation Egypt has, all i would say is avoid the salads and the ice, this is what we tended to do.

Overall, I would 1000% recommend this hotel to others, it is lovely and only a short taxi ride to Nama Bay and Soho Square which we did as well on our visit. The staff are lovely and always willing to help, the hotel is clean, the beaches and pools are well kept and the rooms are just as good.

Amazing time and certainly didnt want to leave!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in Cluster 8 which looked over the activities pool, it was noisy during the day (we was ne...

From the moment that we arrived at the hotel we were in awe of the service, we were greeted with drinks on our arrival and informed that our room had been upgraded - due to a special occasion. Once we had been through the formalities of checking in we were driven to our fantastic room in a golf buggy whilst also being given a tour of the hotel grounds.

Room; the room was amazing, plenty of space for two people for 10 nights - with an amazing view over the pool and to the sea. The bathroom was huge; there is also lots of storage space for clothes etc in the room itself. Our housekeeper Abullah (spelling not sure of) was amazing, every day our room was left immaculate with clean bedding and towels each day. The towel art he left ranged from swans, elephants and crocodiles to a TOWEL MAN reading a book! No idea where he gets his inspiration from but it certainly made us laugh!

Pools and Beach; we were fortunate enough to have a room overlooking the infinity pool so that made our decision of "which pool to use" even easier than I thought it would be be. Each day Hany (towel man) would set out our towels on the beds we chose on the first day first thing in the morning ready for when we came down after breakfast. Hany was always on hand to move the umbrella if required, and even just to come over for a chat - he is such a lovely guy. We were also really surprised by Mohamedd the pool drinks man, he was amazing running around all day ensuring everyone's drinks were topped up at all times, easily the hardest worker in the hotel - especially in that heat. Though we did not use the main pool or family pool both looked fine, the main pool was a little livelier with the activities taking place there whereas in stark contrast the family pool was dead, definitely worth staking out a bed up at that pool if it is a tranquil holiday you are after. Again with the beach, we opted to stick around the pool due to convenience but it seemed lovely, although the red flag was raised most days for the sea until about 2/3pm and even then you would need some sturdy shoes to go in. Although it would be well worth spending some time down on the jetty looking at the wonderful fish and taking in the breeze at the warmer times.

Food; as with any all inclusive hotel the food did begin to feel a bit repetitive after 7 days or so. However I think this is to be expected, and that said it was by no means a bad selection, there was always a good selection of dishes, rice, potatoes, vegetables, meat, fishes, salad etc. The main buffet restaurant also hosted ‘themed’ nights including Mexican, Egyptian, and seafood – all of which were great. The selection at breakfast and lunch was also very good definitely plenty of choice and the ability to mix and match your meal choices. During our time we also ate at the Italian restaurant twice, which was amazing – highly recommend this to everyone staying at the hotel. You can also eat at the seafood restaurant during your stay but we did not eat there so cannot comment. The Beach Grill was also great for something different for your lunch, with a selection of pastas, pizza and burgers etc there was a lot of choice.

Entertainment; during our stay the World Cup was taking place so we spent a lot of our time in the evenings watching the football. However we did watch some of the entertainment on the odd occasion, whilst it is not really ‘our thing’ it seemed good and all the team work very hard to make sure that the guests are having a great time. There are also numerous classes which you can sign up to participate in throughout your stay.

General Hotel; in general we were very impressed with the hotel. The staff really do make the hotel as good as it is; they are so kind, friendly and always smiling. We were very impressed by the waiters throughout the hotel and how they remembered our faces, and drinks each time we visited any of the restaurants or the lobby bar. The wifi in the lobby is great, this can also be picked up at the beach grill, and sometimes in the Pili Pili pub, you can also pick up an internet connection in your room with an Ethernet cable – so well worth packing one if you like to keep in touch with back home. We also found that the Guest Relations team were great, friendly, helpful and also able to have a good conversation with them about things. Kelly in particular was great, really friendly and funny too!

Illness; now on to the unpleasant bit, before our holiday I was anxious about becoming unwell as I just seem to be one of those people that picks things up at the moment – and true to form unfortunately during our stay I picked up a stomach bug. After battling for half a day feeling unwell we decided to visit the hotel clinic, we received a thorough examination and I was recommended to go on a drip as I was very dehydrated and extremely low blood pressure. Being in a foreign country laid doubt in my mind and I did not accept the drip so went away with a course of antibiotics to complete and some advice on what to eat etc. By the next day I was feeling loads better, drinking more and sticking with the antibiotics. After a few days I unfortunately took another turn for the worse, waking up in the middle of the night with sharp pains in my stomach and everything that goes with those pains, by 10am I was back with the Dr feeling very very unwell, he again advised that I needed to go on a drip as my blood pressure was now 70/40. This was on the day that we were flying home, Sunday 22nd. I am now back home still not feeling great at all, having visited my GP on my return I have been advised to stick to bland foods, loads of water and hopefully it will pass over in the next couple of weeks. I CANNOT ADVISE PEOPLE ENOUGH TO VISIT THE HOTEL DR AS SOON AS YOU FEEL ANY KIND OF ILLNESS WHILST IN EGYPT, AND UNLIKE I DID – TAKE HIS ADVICE, IF HE IS TELLING YOU THAT YOU NEED THE DRIP THEN TAKE IT.

All this said the illness did not ruin my holiday, or the experience of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and will hopefully return again in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room overlooking the infinity pool, this area is quiet and close to the pool and...

Just returned from a fabulous 2 week stay at the Cleopatra Luxury Resort. Been to Sharm 4 times and this was our third stay at a hotel in Nabq Bay, and by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Room was upgraded upon arrival, staying in Block 2, room 2107. Room was great with a sea view. Very big room. Free water every day. Free internet access in your room. Room cleaned and towels replaced daily. Very friendly and efficient room cleaner, Ibrahim, who made sure we had anything we needed for our room.
Food was excellent and plenty of choice. Waiter service was great and friendly staff, including our waiter, Ibrahim Emam, who again ensured nothing was too much trouble and got drinks for us throughout the meal. Always had a smile on his face and had time to talk.
The pools are magnificent, especially the Infinity Pool, with spectacular views of the sea and Tiran Island. The staff at the pool made our stay as that's where we spent most time. The man in charge of the sunbeds & parasols, Hany, would always make sure you had the sunbeds you wanted, which came with mattresses and a pillow, along with new towels every day. Drinks waiter service was provided all day, again a nice added touch to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Our pool drinks waiter was Mohamed El Said, who worked tirelessly every day to provide us with drinks. Both Hany & Mohammed are an asset to the staff at The Cleopatra.
Has it's own private stretch of beach, sunbeds, parasols & again a waiter service for drinks.
The Beach Grill served good snacks most of the day, along with free ice creams.
The Fellini (Italian) and Red Sea Warf (seafood) restaurants could be booked once each, per week. Meal at the Fellini was very good and should be tried.
Out of the hotel are a few shops, but best bargains are either at nearby Naama Bay or Soho Square. Turn right out of the hotel and about 600 yards is a good English pub, The Jive Bar, which shows all football games and has comfortable leather sofas to sit on.
The hotel showed all World Cup football games on a big screen outside & also inside in an air conditioned room.
Will definitely be returning to The Cleopatra Luxury Resort as we had a great experience at a fantastic hotel, good value for money, with friendly staff who all try to make your stay memorable.

Room Tip: Cluster 2, Rooms 2101 - 2114 are all excellent with a great sea view
