Stayed in February for one week with my husband and two daughters aged 18 and 12. Really cannot say anything negative at all. It was a relaxing holiday in a clean friendly hotel with the most amazing staff . The entertainment team were great special mention about how fantastic Bob and Kimo are as well as the fabulous bar staff and waiters. We will definitely be visiting again.

When i first arrived i just thought wow,it was fancy, the people were nice,it was just amazing. I walked into my room and i had a big swan made completely out of towels,a basket full of fruit and our cleaner Bebo made a different animal every day! The only thing was in the bathroom the shower tray was very short and caused a small flood. Other than that it was brilliant.
The best bit about the water park was the activities and the staff were lovely. My two favourite members of staff were Jemma and Megan, they worked at the kids club. i enjoyed the kids club because it was never the same activities it was a new thing every day. If i had the choice i would definately go there again another time. Ellie

I've held off writing this review for the past 5 months as I didn't want to go through thinking about all the terrible experiences again, but as I'm about to book a holiday I feel the need to WARN OFF anyone with children from booking this hotel. Here are the many many reasons why...

We were two mothers travelling with two 2 year olds.

Day 1.

Probably one of the better days. Arrive and check in fine. Get taken to our swim up room which we requested in the block that is in the sun (one side of the hotel has swim ups in the sun, and one side has them in the shade). We unpack, and head down to the restaurant. Food very poor. Unless your happy with carb overload (pizza, pasta and bread, bread, bread) then you will struggle to put a meal together, Salad bar horrendous. We like our children to eat healthily with the odd treat but this was near enough impossible here. Apple/Orange juice - radioactive!

Day 2.

Wake up in our sunny side swim up room.. oh wait... we're in the shade! Pop over to reception who said they could move us but not until 2.30pm. We thought about staying but the water was freezing to chose to move, but spent most of the day in limbo waiting to be moved across. Went over, room nice and facing the sun!
We get ready in the evening to go down for dinner but find that the shower doesn't work if you put the water temperature to hot. So we call and they send someone up. 3 men show up. One takes apart and replaces the WHOLE shower whilst two men lurk in the doorway looking at us - Just what two women with children want happening in their room. All fixed, tip expected (like with all staff here) and off they go.

Day 3.

The electrics and air conditioning no longer work when we wake up. AGAIN, we call, another group of men came up, this time we chose to just leave them to it. We return and all working.

Day 4.

A DAY NEVER TO FORGET!

We decide to get internet cards paid about £20 for them to take back to our room whilst the kids were asleep. We managed to log on (so time starts ticking away on our cards) but can't get on to anything! it's so slow that it took my 10minute card to load... well nothing! nothing worked! As we were stood at the end of the beds by the desk moaning about this, my friend notice that A RAT WAS UNDER ONE OF THE BABY'S COT! It ran out and jumped into the wardrobe. Both of us grabbed the kids and lept onto the bed. We called reception AGAIN and reported it.

We wait... and wait... 40 minutes has gone by and nobody has come and this massive rat is still in the wardrobe with all of ours/ours babies clothes/shoes/suitcases etc so we call 2 more times.

Then after 50 minutes, a man who can't speak English turns up on his mobile. We try to tell him about whats happened and he basically acts like he doesn't care. barely looking properly and after about 20 second says there's nothing there. We tell him there is 100% a rat in our wardrobe and he isn't to leave until he's found it. He then pulls down the spare duvet from the top of the wardrobe and we here the rat fall...

Just when you think it can't get worse...

The guy throws the duvet on top of the rat and starts stamping.. from the noise the rat is making obviously injuring it... then lefts up the duvet and kicks the injured rat out of the door. There is blood on the floor and all over the spare duvet. DISGUSTING!

but then as if that's not bad enough the man puts the duvet back in the wardrobe!?!?!

We tell him to get it out and he does and calls the night manager, who is may I add, the biggest waste of space ever.

He stroles in about 15 minutes later and basically says because we've called them so many times throughout the first few days, he didn't believe us when we called to report the rat.

To wrap this evening up in a nut shell he first of all said he wouldn't move us, then decided he would upgrade us after much arguments - an upgrade we didn't care for. At this point we just wanted to go home!.At about 2am we had to abandon all of our belongings in the room and move to yet another room. The next morning when we had to go back and pack our stuff we noticed rat droppings everywhere when we properly looked. All under the curtains, sofa and bed. We were horrified having our toddlers on there!

So Day 5/7

We have to pack up our room and move and then meet with the First Choice reps to make a report at 11am and then meet with the manager at 1pm to discuss whats happened. How this man manages to keep a hotel running I'll never know. All he could offer us was the room upgrade (which we had no choice to accept because otherwise we had to stay in the room with rats droppings) a free meal in the stone grill and a day pass into the sister resort. We said this wasn't good enough and we didn't want freebies. We were annoyed that it was day 5 and we'd messed around almost every day sorting something out, and also we now paid a lot more for a swim up room and are stuck with an upgrade that isn't a swim up room. Basically he wouldn't do anything and neither would First Choice - Appalling beyond words!

As any parent would agree those points are enough in themselves to ruin a holiday but if you add the following to it too then you'll agree the best thing for you is to NEVER book with this hotel.

- bad food
- awful entertainment - as a professional dancer myself i'm astonished these people got paid for this!
- THE SPA STAFF - One man in particular sadly I didn't get his name, practically stalked me the whole holiday. And was constantly trying to touch me and massage me by the pool as well as making crude and sleazy comments every time he walked past. Pretty intimidating for women by themselves.
- The childrens pool should be closed down. Both of our two year olds cut their feet on the gravel that is falling off the crumbling sides of the pool.

The only staff member worth a mention is Chris who is wonderful with the children!

A HOLIDAY TO FORGET!

We have 2 girls aged 3 and 8 and had a great time at this resort. We found it to be extremely family friendly and exceeded expectations, despite reading the positive reviews.

The staff could not be more helpful and always tried to inject some fun to the stay. The family room was more of a small apartment with plenty of room. Everything was excellent there, very clean, lots of space, close to everything, 3 TV's, 2 bathrooms, plenty of wardrobes and a safety deposit box. My only slight negative note was that some of the furnishings looked as if they were around a good number of years which is surprising for a new resort.

The pools and surroundings were great. The girls loved the wave pool and the lazy river and many of the water slides. Being there in March meant there was no overcrowding which was great.

Food was great at all times, be it at the restaurant or by the pools. The variety and standard was unexpected and a major plus. You even get good homemade chips if required.

There are plenty of other activities such as kids discos etc plus stuff for the older crew, the location suited as you are outside of the main Naama Bay, but there are many restaurants, pubs and market shops within 5 minute walking distance. My only advice if shopping or getting a taxi is to know what you would give beforehand and barter well. There is plenty of haggling.

Room Tip: Ask nicely, staff are very friendly

We spent the last week of February at Coral Sea Splash. We had a brilliant time there. The staff were always there to serve. The lobby bar was brilliant for a chill out drink in the evening and the waiters would bring the drinks to you without asking. The general buffet was good and the two other all inclusive restaurants were excellent. I would recommend visiting the stone grill restaurant next door. it is very reasonable and an experience to say the least.
The animation team were a lot of fun with special mention of Kemo. For nights out speak to them, they go out every night
Nabil (barman/poolside staff) was the man of the holiday, he was always bringing us ice cream, topping up our drinks and making conversation. I think they should rename the place Nabil King Splash.
The hotel is in good location with a taxi ride to naama bay or soho square. there are many shops and takeaways outside like Mcdonalds and KFC. Also a few sports bars for you footy fans.
I would recommend using the ATM's across the road to exchange your money, they give better rate than the hotel.
Our cleaner was very good and always made towel animals and shapes.
The resort had many slides that were a lot of fun.
The downside to the holiday was not having any WIFI.
