Just returned from the Coral sea Splash and all I can say is you won't want to leave. Me and my wife went for 10 nights on our honeymoon and booked a swim up room with First choice. When we arrived at the hotel after the shortest transfer I have ever had (15 minutes) we were greeted with a drink while our bags were taken off the coach. We were then checked in (nice and easy) and taken to our room with our bags by cart so no walking. When we got to the room we were really surprised, the room was way past our expectations for Egypt (king size bed, flat screen TV) and of course the swim up pool. On our fist night we went for a walk around, McDonald's,KFC,Hard Rock Cafe,TGI Fridays, Starbucks are all within a five minute walk if you want something different. On our first morning we found that our swim up pool was not on the sunny side so was a bit cold room (4104) and we asked to be moved to the sunny side as the pool gets the sun all day, which we were moved the next day which was done with no fuss at all (they even moved our bags for us) room 2104. The swim up room we booked is set 2 floors above and a bit back from the main pool so is less busy and a bit more quiet, There is a lift to the floor so don't worry about the stairs. Where the swim up rooms are there is a sun terrace with slightly better sun loungers and a bar where you are waited on by Mohamed, he is just great always making sure you have a drink, always smiling (even when he falls in the pool) cannot speak highly enough of him, he really did make our holiday extra special, just great service, Niab also looked after us around the pool.
Our room was cleaned by Bebawy everyday and we always had a nice surprise on the bed, we had swans, hearts, flowers just to name some with fresh flowers for decoration, there were always clean towels and bedding and the bathroom was always spotless. Bebawy did a great job and always had a smile, he really did put a smile on our faces.
There is a small aqua park on site with slides, a wave pool, heated pool and flo rida (a bit like a surfing machine) which is all included in your all inclusive and good fun.
The food at the Hotel is good with different themed nights every night which gave great verity and 2 a le carte (Asian and American) restaurant (the Asian was our favourite) portion sizes were large with great service (3 course meal). Service in all the restaurants was excellent with a smile, Diaa always looked after me and my wife, sitting us down, always making sure there was a drink on the table by the time we had gotten our food, could not ask for more.
Overall the hotel was great, the staff are amazing can not do enough for you, will definitely be going back later this year.
Just some tips, if you want wifi don't use the hotels but go across the road to the st George bar as they have the quickest wifi and drinks are the cheapest (£2 a pint) plus all the football is on in there :D
Don't bother changing your pounds to Egypt pounds as everywhere take UK money (£1 is worth 10 Egyptian pounds which is a better exchange rate then we get on the high street. You really don't need Egyptian pounds.
The staff at the Coral sea Splash all speak great English, better than most Brits tbh which was a really nice surprise.
Also just to point out that while we were there the hotel is all but full of British as were heard a few people from other hotel moaning about them being the only Brits at there hotels and food was more for Europeans.
Hope this helps :D

We took our daughter who is 7 months on her first holiday and our son who's 3 that has been to the sister hotel, we had an amazing holiday the staff were lovely always at hand to help and the 5* animation team were absolutely brilliant good entertainment both day time and evening time they made a great effort it's a shame there all leaving in may as they were a big part in the hotel so personally I'd like to thank them all. The restaurant staff was very helpful and again always at hand to help.
Over all we had an amazing time there was only one fault which was the beauty staff and the manager of the beauty salon they were sleezy kept going on about sex to myself and it made me feel very uncomfortable so I would not recommend to any lady's to go there alone and to be honest I wouldn't recommend to go to the beauty bit at all its over priced and the quality of there work is at a training standard yet they can charge £90 for a manicure and pedicure so I wouldn't reconnect going in there, the spa is fine though a family we met there had a spa treatment and she had a lovely experience it's just the beauty salon.

I would recommend to bring a couple bits of food for young babies that have only Just gone on to solids they do have food there but sometimes it's only chips that were the better offer so I just carried some food in my bag just in case.

We would defiantly go back here it's just a shame when we do the animation team won't be there, I would recommend shopping around for a good price as first choice over charged us by £400 so look around for a good price first.

Room Tip: We stayed in 3115 which was a good location to get to its by the swim up pools and during the day th...

Got back on 24/3/2013 from a fantasic trip to Coral Sea Splash resort. Just went for 1 week with our 13 yr old daughter. As it was our first time in Egypt thought would just go for 1 week to try, and yes we will be going back. We wanted a bit of sun to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by very friendly staff who asked us to take a seat, whilst they booked us in, gave us a refreshing welcome drink and put AI wristbands on us. We were then taken to our room by golf carts. We were in room 3113 probably the furthest from the main hotel, but it was nice and quiet which suited us.

The room had a massive bed, and very quickly Amor our cleaner came along and made up the bed setee. This only had a thin matress which for a fully grown adult wouldn't be comfy, when I commented on the thickness to my hubby, Amor came back with a full depth matress and said that it would be better for her. The room was lovely and clean. Amor kept the cleaning to a high standard throughout the stay. On our wedding anniversary we opened our cards and put them on the dressing table before we went for breakfast, when we came back Amor had noticed the cards and decorated the bed with towel art and flower petals, and put all the cards on the bed, it looked great. We were greated with towel art from Amor on a number of days which was great. We didn't tip until the end of the holiday, but this didn't affect the service we recieved.

The main restuarant was lovely, always somthing to eat, and very attentive waiters, that might have had something to do with our 13yr old daughter who looks more like 17. They would tease her a little but all in good fun, Mohammed, Mahmoud, Mario, Mustafa and Armed were all lovely.

We tended to use the Lobby Bar as the sports bar was too crowded and load for our taste. Mohammed and Ramy were always keeping us entertained and never let our glasses run dry.

Although we didn't have much to do with the annimations team they were always really friendly. As were the reception staff, Mohammed on reception was lovely too even though we only spoke to them twice.

A lovely touch was on 21st March it was my birthday, which I was trying to forget LOL we didn't mention it, but they had picked up the date from my passport and there was a delicious chocolate cake waiting in our room for us to tuck into on the day.

We booked a trip on the Yellow Submrine, which was ok, it would have been better if they had warned you to sit on the left hand side of the boat, when you went downstairs, as this was were most of the coral and fish were seen. The right hand side was more open water, however we got to the the Manta Rays which they others didn't get to see. In addition we booked the Speedboat trip from the Diving Team in the Hotel. This was again fantastic, we stopped for 2 snorkelling swims, which they equip you for, but woulod not recommend for the very young as it is in very deep water. In addtion you spot Dolphin, we were lucky and saw 4 dolphins, then saw some sword fish jumping out of the water. Much better value for money and really felt well looked after and in safe hands.

Briliant time - we will be back.

We stayed at coral sea splash for ten days and from arriving at the hotel to leaving we had a fantastic time! From the second you walk into the hotel your are completely looked after, your cases are taken to your room while you have a refreshing drink, brilliant first impression and it and impression that lasts!

The rooms are really nice there cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff do a brilliant job they left us a towel animal or love heart or decoration on the bed covered with petals on a few occasions much to the delight of my 4 year old daughter Hannah. All the staff are really friendly and are absolutely fantastic with the children making a fuss of them and going out of there way to make sure they say hello and have a chat with you no matter how busy they are.

I must mention the animation team they are brilliant, Hannah cried when she had to leave them most of all Racheal! From morning games and dances by the pool to the evening entertainment they are a pleasure to be around and really made they holiday for us. They worked none stop to make sure we were having a good time.

The food was nice and the resultant is lovely, we also tried the American diner and Asian restaurants on site at the hotel both of which were lovely

We spent our evenings at the sports bar with Hannah for the children's mini disco and club dances with the animation team this was followed by a different she very night which we enjoyed, there is also a lounge bar that is a little more relaxing across the way from the sports bar if you have had enough dancing for a change. My mother and farther in law spent a few evenings in there being entertained by a singer a violinist and a guitar player who were all very good.

Just outside the resort is Hard Rock Cafe, McDonald's, TGI Fridays, Starbucks and KFC if you fancied a change. The only downside to taking a wonder outside the hotel is the hassle you get from some of the locals who want you to go into their shops but a polite "no thank you" is enough for them to leave you alone.

I couldn't possibly mention everything We loved about this hotel and the staff as there is just so much!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is wanting a relaxing/fun filled holiday 10/10 all the way!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that gets the sun all day as a few rooms round one side of the pool are in the shade...

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago . Great holiday for a week . Couldn't do any longer . The hotel is very clean good location great food and staff . The animation team were great but Thompson are planning on bringing new staff to the hotel . We met loads of people which was good and all were English witch was better as the hotel seem to cater for English more. I wouldn't go half term etc as the hotel has a water park and I couldn't cope with too many kids . I have never seen a hotel clean the pools as much as I did at this hotel and can say we were never ill . I would strongly advise anyone looking for a holiday at in Egypt go here . Airport transfer only 15 mins . One thing take some pound coins as staff expect a tip specially the luggage boys.

Only got back last night but in keeping with previous Hotel reviews I have done I'm posting this promptly whilst everything fresh in my mind.
From the moment the 3 of us arrived, (myself, wife and 8 yr old son) we knew this would be a great holiday. Firstly, we were escorted to our room, luggage taken care of, and given a great ground floor room (#5108) overlooking the main swimming pool. It was obvious in the morning that our email request for a "sunny aspect" had been granted as this faced the sun practically from dawn 'til dusk.
The first couple of days we spent finding our feet, acclimatising to the fabulous weather and generally being pampered by the fantastic staff. The pool staff were particularly attentive and brought round trays of drinks for all the guests so you didn't even have to move from the sunbed. I have never had 5 star service like this anywhere in the world before and all the staff had a smile on their face, and Ahmed's (one of the pool waiters) motto was "it's my job to serve you, whilst you relax and take it easy" which was almost humbling to hear when you consider the meagre wages these guys earn for a 12 hour+ day, 7 days a week. It was a real shame when we heard the same waiter was demoted to restaurant duties on our final day for being too friendly and chatty by the pool, but I can assure you he never stopped serving out in the hot sunshine.
The Hotel facilities were truly excellent. The water park, slides, restaurants, bar areas, rooms were clean and tidy, with plenty of assistance on hand to cater for our every need. Although our son was not into the "scarier slides" he was more than occupied with the lazy river and kids pools. We all tried the Flow-rider which was an experience, even if I did manage to lose my shorts at the first attempt. The hotels own entertainment / animation team worked their socks off to ensure all the guests were happy, and it's a crying shame that Thomson are soon to put their own staff in to replace them, or so we hear.
Because the hotel has it's own on site Spa there is a bit of a hard sell by the pool trying to get you to have a massage or treatment, especially when they see you are the newcomers with no tan to hide behind. Just be patient and tolerant and after a couple of times of trying they move on to the next sunbed to try their luck. I did in fact arrange a massage at a knock down price by walking into the spa myself so you do have the choice at the end of the day.
Our only slight complaint about the Hotel itself was the food quality; it has been said before but the food was never piping hot and we thought the variety was somewhat lacking. It was not really in keeping with the rest of the 5 star feeling we got from everything else. That said, we did not go hungry and recommend both the Asian and American restaurants where there was Al La Carte choices. The Head Waiter, Fatima, was good fun and always had a smile on his face too. The big plus with the main restaurant was that it did not feel like a cafeteria or free for all frenzy like some all inclusives we have been to before.
The evening entertainment in the Sports Bar was perhaps lacking in quality but the animation team really tried their best, and we all really enjoyed their Saturday night Show. The kids 8.30pm "disco" got everyone in the mood at least, even if Ollie felt a little "old" at 8 yrs old! We met a lovely couple with their two kids, another Ollie and Joshua literally on the first night and met up with them regularly whilst we were there. They showed us their family room which was enormous, more like a 3 bed apartment, and we thought our open plan 2 bed was more than adequate!
A couple of points to finish with; on the tipping and the haggling culture everyone expects in Egypt. Tipping was certainly not expected in the Hotel, with the exception of the luggage boy on the first night who made us feel a little uncomfortable whilst standing at the doorway until we gave him a pound. We did tip housekeeping towards the end of the week and the Pool waiters that were so attentive during our stay, but the odd pound / 10 Egyptian note was not unreasonable here and there.
As this was our fourth visit to Sharm we knew exactly what to expect outside of the Hotel when window shopping. Haggling and bartering for a handbag, tee shirt etc is part and parcel of the street traders life but we did feel rather uncomfortable in one shop in particular to the left of the Hotel near Macdonalds and KFC. I fully understand times may well be hard in Egypt for many but being somewhat vocal and aggressive towards us tourists just because we don't actually buy something we are simply looking at will have a detrimental effect and put people off going outside of the Hotel complex. I think this was more a one-off as most traders accepted no for an answer and happy to banter and haggle.
Overall, we would give this Hotel a 95% rating, the staff most definitely made it a proper relaxing holiday, and the perfect 80 degree plus weather every day was just what we needed to escape the UK Winter blues.

Room Tip: Ground Floor Rm 5108, sunny side next to main pool
