“This is 2 Star Hotel !!!”
Reviewed 3 January 2012

Radison Blu – Sharm El Sheik, this hotel is definitely not even 4 star may be 3 star or 2 star, we have stayed there last year Jul/2011 its awful , there was no cold drinks, no internet service and full of charter flight from Russia.

The hotel need lot of work to upgrade there services.

In general it was not a good holiday

We would not recommend to anyone.

We have just spent the week before xmas here and it was really chilled and relaxing.Hotel is really welcoming and staff are wonderful the hotel was quite empty really and there was no panic for the sunbeds in the morning. There was not that many russians like most of the other hotels we have stayed at in Eygpt i think that its probabley a bit out of their price range compared to other hotels in sharm .Pool was very cold but the small one down by the sea was not to bad, and the sea was really warm the complex itself is set out really nice and easy to stroll around Rooms are in need of update but are kept spotless by the cleaners and the beds are really comfy. Food ............well its not fabulous but its not that bad either you could most of the time find something okay to eat but theres a local english pub called the three crowns not to far away that the food is amazing for the price and its got a nice atmophere there to . Staff here are fantastic they cannot do enough for you they are brilliant especially the lobby bar staff Essam, Mohammed, Armhad ,and Rameirez they couldnt give you be any better service .Also Mai in the resteraunt and Kakar the animation team guy were lovely too all in all the staff make your holiday a really good one i would reccomend this hotel and we have stayed at quite a few in Egypt this is ideal for a chilled relaxing holiday we will be going back very soon and again the week before Xmas and are looking forward to it

Room Tip: there are rooms available down by the sea which are lovely but at an upgrade price but you can bart...

Lovely hotel, exceptionally clean and presentable and very helpful and friendly staff who could not do enough for us, but the standard of the buffet restaurant for our "All Inclusive" deal was certainly not "5 star". If you are a vegetarian, then you'd be fine, but the standard of the meat and chicken was not up to scratch. Looked like they'd used the cheapest scrag-end cuts. This being said, in our last week (we stayed 2), the standard did improve a bit, following a meeting with staff and guests where a number of guests complained about the food. The restaurants that weren't included in the All Inclusive had a better standard of food and a Theme Night that we went to and had to pay for had better food too. It's a shame, because the staff themselves really bent over backwards to be friendly and helpful.
Be careful of the dive club that's associated with the hotel. If you hire equipment from them, make sure you've got EXACTLY what you need and check it before your trip, 'cause by the time you get to the boat, it will be too late! This is a critisism of their equipment choice only, they can't be faulted on attention to safety etc.

Starting on the positive we found the staff really friendly and helpful, the room facilities were fine (despite what other reviews have said) and very clean, no problem getting drinks even though we were on all inclusive

We arrived on 22/11 and the first night experience in the buffet restaurant was really poor we immediately (well after breakfast) the next morning changed to ultra all inclusive at $20 per person per day so we could eat at the other restaurants (which we thought were good) which were sparsely used by others. We subsequently clashed with management over needing to do this and they were more than reasonable and the head chef really tried to appease us but needed us to eat in the buffet restaurant but offered to cook to order

My tips would be to consider spending a bit extra to use the other restaurants and stick to the pasta (which is good) if eating in the buffet

I booked this hotel through Cosmos at Thomson and it is the first time I have ever purchased a package holiday.
I was really pleased with my room. A 'bug bear' with many hotels that have air conditioning is that these are rarely reliable. But this room, although in need of a little updating, was spacious, clean and had fully reliable air conditioning.
The hotel is about 12 years old, making it and the Hilton, two of the oldest hotels in the resort.
This has benefits, as well as drawbacks. The benefits are that the gardens are fabulous and well established and tended for, service is outstanding and the staff are familiar with hotel operation and the rooms are a very good size. Everything runs very smoothly.

The drawback is that the hotel needs a freshen up with some paint and updated fittings.
Contrast that with newer hotels, whose gardens are frequently poor with many dead palms and rooms from reports are often smaller than the older hotels.

This hotel is currently under renovation, at the time of visiting, which was no distraction, what-so-ever. I guess it will be finished before March 2012, but check first.

Having travelled to many places like this before, the use of bleach and similar cleaning products is often outlawed due to the environmental damage they can cause, particularly here, being so close to the reefs. For this reason, I believe you will need to accept that the bath and fittings may not look as sparkling as they might at home.

I stayed 'tour operator' all inclusive, for an additional $20 per day you could upgrade to 'hotel' all inclusive enabling almost all alcohol and al la carte food to be included too.

All-Inclusive 'tour operator' version includes buffet food from the hotel under main reception. Here there is a wide range of food, but with an ever increasing number of visitors from Russia, Poland and similar parts of Europe, you can expect to see plently of cabbage related dishes and pickled vegetables.

There is a quick transfer from Sharm airport of about 30 minutes and despite appearances, you can be sure that security is very tight, not just at the airport but around the resort too. Whenever you leave the resort you must have your passport on you. Also on arrival check whether you will also need a visa. These are $15 and needed if you plan to go to Luxor, or other cities

Room Tip: This is a large site and if you plan to go on many excursions, you may prefer to check into a room c...

Just returned from another enjoyable stay at the Radisson Blu Sharm, another fantastic stay made even better by all the staff you meet, from May and here team in the main restaurant, to Essan, Mohamed and Ahmed in the Toucan bar, not forgetting the guys by the pool bar(Magdy, Rammy and Mohamed) and the Animation team who keep you entertained.
I hope to return in the new year and have another great time.

Last time me and my family was here was in October 2011. Ive also been 3 more times in April, June and September. Twice i went on my own and that was because the staff are amazing, I made so many friends the first time i felt safe in this hotel to go again on my own.
Restaurant staff (Tarek Salam, El Hussiny, Ramadan and mahmoud who works in the Italian restaurant) were always very welcome when i came to eat there and had our table reserved every day. Very pleased they kept our wine full :) I personally loved the food in the restaurant, like the fact they have different things on in the BBQ every night. Its was my sister and mums birthday while we were there and that gives them the perfect excuse to have a sing and dance infront of everyone and give you a birthday cake. Animation Team (kaka and Jamaca) were also brilliant putting on shows in the evening and also the areobics every morning in the pool.
Cant complain about the rooms, i love them. Beds are comfortable, shower and rooms are always made to a good standard when they are cleaned in the morning. The cleaners are brilliant. The grounds and the beach are the best ive seen, i have had a bit of a wonder to the other hotel grounds when ive been for a walk along the beach and radisson blu is the best. The gardener Abdu always brought us flowers in the morning and always makes the effort to say hello if he sees you.
People, food, accomodation, hotel grounds and surrounding areas outside the hotel are fantastic. If it wasnt i wouldnt have gone there 4 times in one year and i will be going again. Ive made friends for life and so will you!
