“Wonderful relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 21 November 2009

There are some real moaners on here !!
We have been in 5 star resorts all over the world and paid very high prices. So at £500pp all incl for a week we got what we paid for not 5 star but a very good clean hotel with excellent friendly staff. We did not tip until the last day but received very fast service and with a smile. I would like to thank Saleh for the attention in the restauant he could not do enough for us and initially refused the tip offrered on our last day.We did not buy any trips but had a great laugh with the sellers who were teaching us naughty arabic words the animation team were very friendly and did not push you if you wanted to be left alone.Food was repetitive and if we had stayed two weeks would have been bored with it but so what lovely weather and nice surroundings I could cope with boring food.
All in all a great time was had by us and if the staff are rude look in a mirror as you may need to tell your face to smile and it will be returned ten fold

This is certainly not a 5* but anyone with a bit of common sense would know when you look at the cost. Some of the reviewers have champagne taste but lemonade budget
The rooms were cleaned everyday and the cleaner was very good.
The food was OK though the hotel could have made an effort to have more fresh fruit throughout all meals.
The staff are all friendly...........................smiling and saying hello always helps.
The Russians..........aah well that is another story.

We stayed for one week at the Hauza, we booked a twin room garden view, we were given a side sea view with a huge bed, Im sure they thought we were lesbians considering there was quite a few staying there. Room was ok very basic, hotel services were excellent, food was cold most of the time and very much the same everyday. That would be my only gripe people are very friendly although the egyptian men are sex pests, just ignore them and they go away eventually. Namma Bay was kickin every night had to take taxis's every night that cost 100 EP round trip, Although the resort was well planned it was a bit too far from the action so next time we will be looking for somewhere in Namma bay. All in all really enjoyed our time there.

This was our 4th time in Sharm, but our 1st time at the Hauza Beach resort.
Ok, I'll do my review in points, it's easier:-
The food in the restaurant was very tasty & varied, if sometimes not as hot as we would have liked.
The choice was good.
The wine at the hotel, was very watered down.
The lager was good, but in the hotel bar you could only get it served in wine glasses - at the pool bar in little plastic cups.
The animation team were helpful & good.
The room was spacious enough, clean & the cleaner never bothered us once, which is unusual in Egypt!
We requested a sea view high floor & were given the ground floor, facing the very front of the hotel - totally opposite to the sea!
The beach area was nice.
The slides for the kids were fab.
No one ever plays tennis as they have no one to play against - they need a board or something where you can put your name & room no if you are up for a game.

We arrived with anticipation having read reviews on here but had the time of our lives.
It was the best holiday I have ever had and I have been around the world.

On day two we were talking to other Brits who had read this site and became worried but not one of us found anything to complain about!

We arrived after a 4-hour delay thanks to the awful Jet2.com (another story entirely) but the hotel reception staff were waiting for us at midnight with smiles. We were taken speedily to our room which was in pristine condition and a porter took our luggage for us. We were five mins from the airport, too.

The reort is much bigger than we expected, meaning there was plenty of room for everyone.

The food was a pleasant surprise. Yes it was different to Britian but c'mon - we were in Egypt! It was interesting to try new stuff. The waiters were great, full of banter if you gave them a smile and my partner even swapped email addresses with some at the end of the week. Food available all day long.

The drinks were nice (except the wine) and we took our own plastic cups which the barmen filled happily.
The beach pizza restaurant was lovely and the chef enjoyed a few jokes with people in the queue.

The private beach was ideal for lounging on but beware - there is an obvious UK/Russian divide. Avoid loungers to the left of the beach (near the jetty) if you don't want to be the subject of shamelessly staring eyes!! I even have a bruise from where a rude Russian man nudged me out of the dinner queue to get in before me and another Russian woman slammed a glass door in my face, which hurt!

The lifeguard took a scared woman out snorkelling which we thought was very nice of him. Try the snorkelling - AMAZING.

The excursion reps are a tad irritating but we told them we were there to relax and would find them if we wanted to book, so they left us alone all week.

Overall, fabulous holiday in a great hotel with lovely staff.

We booked a last minute deal to the Hauza beach, We should have saved our money!!
We read reviews here before travelling and should have listened to the bad ones.
We have been to Sharm 6 times and stayed in 3 star and 5 star hotels and believe me this hotel is not 5 star it is lucky to be 3, We booked a beach front / seaview apartment and the only good thing about it was the view. The room was basic, bland and very tired and in need of refurbishment and not worth the extra money we paid. The beach was dirty, and gritty sand ,so uncomfortable to walk on, we also saw a number of people with cut feet after being in the sea, so needless to say we only used the beach once. The food was terrible and very repettitive. The food was the same every day at the beach - pizza, or the pool bar toasties and the odd hamburger which were undercooked so we picked at what looked okay. We thought we would give the room service a try surely that would be better, cant comment on that it never arrived, we ordered food about 19.30 and they said 20 mins. 2 hours later we phoned room service and they said sorry they had sent to wrong room. They came down at about 23.00 with a big tray of fruit and soft drinks as an apology, I told them to Shove it up there ar..e
The pools were ok and always sunbeds, but the water was freezing , and please note the swim up bar is a joke, although nice they only do fruit juice and you have to pay 2 euros!!! Most staff are rude and unhelpful. Our rep was useless, we asked to move hotels at the welcome meeting and because of bad communication between him and england it never happened and we were stuck here for 11 nights. So the moral of the story is if you want a proper 5 star, pay that bit more and book with the bigger travel agents as they get it right most of the time. Feel free to ask me any questions, will reply asap. regards Doug.

This is a great, friendly, all inclusive hotel. There is a kids club, various pools, one cascading pool has 3 different slides going into it, so if you are going with only one child and he/she can swim you actually can relax even more as they aren't in need of your attention all the time - there's too much fun to have!!!! It also has it's own snorkelling pier which is fabulous, so much to see and no cost to see it!!!!! We would go back there, it had everything we needed to have a great holiday, the staff were great, and no hawkers allowed in, so just the stafff touting for some business but no pressure, tell them you don't want to do the excursions and they move on happily. Plenty of different choices of food at every meal, and decent sun all year round too.
