We visited Laguna Vista Gardens last year and had a great time.
The staff could not do enough for you.
Always on hand to bring a drink to you around the pool, always a towel waiting for you first thing in the morning.
We wanted a quiet break, still plenty of people to talk to but not over crowded.
If it had been open in September we would have returned, but never the less we had a great time in the Beach resort

Room Tip: Try to the right hand side of the entrance, opposite side from the restaurant. We had an upstairs ro...

Our Garden Resort is the perfect place to re-charge and relax surrounded by the beautiful gardens, and hopefully will be re-opening in January 2014. Although I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at our Beach Resort.

I hope you will visit us again in the near future as it would be our pleasure to accommodate you once more.

Ill keep this short and snappy...
This hotel was so badly run, the staff were so rude. A few were lovely but most were awful. My friend who is 26 got asked by the bar man that the hotel owner or manager wanted to go on a date in his bedroom....i mean how discusting is that. We complained and nothing got done...just excuse after excuse. They were intimidating and one told us to shut up when we didnt want to buy a drink even though there was a free bar!
Most staff wanted tips when they were rude! They stuck their hands out for money all the time.
The food was awful...no choice at all! Over the road at laguna beach is a tiny bit better but you cant even eat there!
The drinks selection is 4 cocktails which are appauling.
The rooms are allright i have to admit but need alot of maintanence! Cracked tiles and dirty.
All it is is pushy pushy pushy over there!!! Make sure you have a man who knows how to say NO cause they seemed to have no respect for us even with our partners!!!

Booked this hotel for May could not fault Egypt or the rooms. Egypt itself had a lot to offer such as amazing excursions which I did (swimming with dolphins, quad biking, camel riding and snorkeling). The rooms were very clean and had good working air conditioning. The bar and pool area was well looked after. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only faults was the restaurant as it had very little selection of food and was not very appettising and the entertainment as there was not any for the whole week I was there. The sister hotel was an amazing hotel with better facilities, great entertainment and food selection, it was also alot closer to the beach. I would recommend both hotels as the Garden chalets where very cute and private and you could use the facilities in the beach hotel but then the beach hotel was set right in the action and had better food and entertainment.

My partner & I stayed here in June, this holiday was booked for my birthday and having been here twice in the past I was really excited to be going back.... Oh how all that changed when we arrived...
The flight times were not the friendliest but as a regular visitor to Egypt I did not mind until we arrived at SSH airport, 4 flights all arrived around the same time and the arrival hall was packed with people waiting in queues.
We waited 2 hours in a queue to go through passport control which there were only 2 booths open, by the time we got to the carousel to collect our luggage the carousel had stopped and the luggage was just lying with luggage spilled onto the floor, which is where our luggage was.
We then went to the coach and was greeted by the most rudest person demanding money to lift out cases to the roof off the bus. Soon after being seated on the bus we waited a while longer for the remaining passengers to arrive then we set off.

The room we were allocated was not as requested however the reception staff did change our room the following day which was nice off them, we did wait ages for the guy to take our luggage to our new room and eventually took it along ourselves which we did not mind.
The hotel on previous visits was faultless but not this time the standards have definitely slipped in the last 2 years.
The food was awful, hardly anything to eat unless you liked spices on food or recycled food from previous days, the tables in the restaurant were dirty, I actually scraped a film off filth from the table top with my nail as the tables are not cleaned after people have dined they are wiped down with a napkin!!
There is an outside area where you can eat and that is covered in bird droppings, now I know you would expect this with wild birds but it was never cleaned, the chairs and the floor were covered and never washed the whole time we were there.
Romany in the restaurant was a lovely guy always helpful and friendly and happy to see you, he always asked us how we were.

The pool was dirty, one guest asked the pool attendant to clear the cups and leaves floating in the pool to which he replied NO! Trying to get 2 sun loungers at the pool was shocking, everyday we could not get near the pool as all the sun loungers were reserved, we complained to the Rep who approached reception who they pulled up the pool attendant, following this the pool attendant waited till I was on my own and shouted at me to NEVER REPORT HIM AGAIN and that if I had a problem to go to him directly. We found out on our last day when waiting for the coach to go back to the airport from another 2 couples that the same pool attendant took £10 from guests to reserve them sun loungers during their stay... Shocking that you have to pay for something that is FREE!!!!
The pumps in the pool were not working properly and maintenance men were working on them however left one out in the sun and it went on fire!!

The one pool bar was under staffed, the same bar man was on morning noon and night and very stressed and on occasions he was rude but we put this down to the pressure he was under.
The range off drinks were awful and there were no sealed bottles off water, you had to take water from a dispenser that everyone used.

The rooms were not too clean and were skimmed over daily with a mopped floor and that was about it, we were both a bit poorly and asked the room attendant to leave a toilet roll as the HALF one we had in the bathroom would not be enough to last till the next day to be told NO wait till tomorrow, went to reception as the room phone was not working and asked for toilet roll and within 10 minutes we had someone at the room with toilet roll and tissues.
The room attendant always stood smoking outside our room at the bottom of the stairs, not being smokers we found this off putting.

The day before we were leaving we were to go to the reception to book a late check out room at 24 euro we went to the reception to be greeted by a Guest Relation lady who could not understand English and said to "Go away come back later when reception man back" so we left rather dumb struck that someone could be so rude in a job like that and also not having good English, where as before at this hotel Frankie from guest relations greeted all guests and was always on hand to help and nothing was too much trouble for her.

We booked 2 excursions one to go Star Gazing and one for Sand Buggies.
The star gazing was good however the reps did not have a clue what they were doing, before going to the desert we opted not to go on a camel as we were not feeling well so stayed on the bus with another couple, the REP drove the bus while the bus driver stood laughing and taking pictures on his mobile phone, in the Bedouin tent it was good and the food was ok (better than the hotel), entertainment and hospitality also was great, however once we left to go star gazing the people there had us hanging about for ages, make a circle here, make another circle there but nothing happened except them standing smoking and chatting on mobile phones.
Looking through the telescopes and seeing the moon and Saturn was superb but it was a shame that loads of time was wasted, poor kids on the trip were tired and restless, we were due to return to our hotel at 20:30pm but we never got back till after 22:00pm.
We had our sand buggie trip, this was enjoyable until we were forced to buy photographs the people did not take kindly to the word NO we did say at the beginning that we were not buying any and not to take pictures, we had already used our spending money on food so could not afford it anyway.
On the way back from this trip we stopped at a hotel in Sharks Bay to drop people off, the driver said he had bought a picture for them and he wanted the money for it, the couple went into their hotel to get money and returned saying the ATM was not working and the driver went mad and was shouting at him to pay the 100 L.E (£10) ... the couple said they did not want the photograph in the first place and walked away, the driver got out the bus and chased after him and returned a little later and flung the photograph on the dashboard and drove off, his driving reflected his bad mood and was driving quite dangerous, driving way too fast for the straight road and corners, he was putting all his passengers and himself in danger, when we reached Nabq Bay we were basically put out in the street over the road from the hotel were all other drop offs were at reception at hotels.

So to say we had a lovely holiday would be a lie, I could not believe so many things could go wrong in one week holiday to my most favorite place in the world, that was my 9th visit to Egypt and I can say in all honesty that I wont probably go back as it was the WORST EXPERIENCE OFF MY LIFE ON HOLIDAY.
The rep was ok, he did not do a great welcome meeting but knowing Sharm I did not mind as I had already holidayed at the Laguna Vista Garden and the Laguna Vista Beach so knew the area very well, he did take on board our comments during our stay but nothing changed. The hotel staff were supposed to come and speak with us regarding issues in the hotel but no one came to speak to us.
BEWARE IF YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL... I know you take things on sites like this with a pinch off salt because everyone has different holiday expectations ... as an ex travel agent and frequent visitor to Egypt I know what to expect and this was way below par, so if you want a good holiday in Egypt avoid this hotel and the sister one over the road Laguna Vista Beach (only tried the food at this one and that was worse than the food here)

I never in my life have written such a terrible review as normally I have loads off great things to report

cheers
Lynn

Visited July 14th with husband and two teenagers. The rooms were fab clean and spacious, and cleaned every day. Rady at the pool bar was lovely always made time for the family and made all of us feel at home. The gardens are quieter and there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool. The animation come over for water activities and the music is chilled and relaxing. We stayed round the gardens during the morning and moved over to the Beach resort in the afternoon were ther was more animation. Alex and Ruth work very hard keeping everyone smiling and all the adults and kids busy day and night. We had breakfast at the gardens good selection of cereals and omelettes, porridge fruit bread etc and in an evening we ate at the beach resort. The food is great and there is always something to eat from meat, fish to salads or fresh pasta. We did eat out twice to have a break. Also did some shopping locally for converse and mulberry bags which was fun haggling and would recommend a boat trip from Nama Bay with San Marino also banana boats with Bob Marley who is super friendly all in all a very relaxing break with plenty to occupy us all

We spent one week in this beautiful and wonderful resort in nabq bay... Rooms very cute... Endless space considering pools and beach.... Good entertainment group...

Ovviamente da Italiani il cibo non e' Biondo (come in igni angolo di sharm) per questo bisogna accontentarsi! Ed andare al ristorante er Colosseo proprio fuori l'hotel dove i proprietari sono italiani!!! :))
