We stayed at This hotel from 26th Jan to 2nd Feb on Thomson package. Got to mention the bad things first.

Booked this as a Platinum hotel & expected certain standards. Also wanted to avoid school half term. Both ours in early 20's so wanted a bit of adult time. Anyhow the room was ok once we got into it as the door was jammed shut. A touch of joinery later and we could get in and out. Silly things like the safe being locked, bulbs out and one of the sockets not working we're all resolved, but not really what you want on a holiday. Two things beyond the hotels control was a broken chair and broken table. Someone in the past has obviously been standing on them. Perhaps this should have been picked up.

The room itself was ok but a little tired. Clean with great attention from the room attendant. Room 1387 had a sea view ( somewhat lost in what I think a sea view is) and was probably one of the furthest rooms from the hotel reception area and main complex.

The other problem was half term. We checked and the ones in the UK are middle of February. So imagine our surprise when we discovered it was Egyptian half term. The only heated pool was full of kids enjoying themselves; and why not. Lots of baby's crying, dads shouting and gesticulating and an overall feeling of family holidays. The kids don't have a sleep pattern regime and are up till all hours. Even the hotel staff were shaking their heads.

I do wish the Thomson rep in the shop had told me about this. I didn't think to check. We were told by the numerous Egyptholidayists we spoke to that we should avoid Ede as it gets quite busy with the festivities.

If you have mobility issues then I would give some thought to booking this hotel. There are ground floor rooms and the restaurants are on the ground floor. However if you want to go to reception or the main building bars than there are steps to negotiate and may prove tiresome or difficult. The pool bars close at 6pm.

So the hotels good points. There are obviously a number of return visitors to this hotel. The grounds are wonderful. Lots of amazing exotic plants, shrubs and trees which are a treat for any garden lover. The hotel complex is quite spacious as well so you can stroll around and enjoy the sun. No problems with sunbeds although we didn't do the beach apart from a quick paddle.

There are people trying to sell trips etc ( they have to earn a living) but a polite "no thanks" was met with a smile and that was the end of it.

There are plenty of pool bars but the service is sporadic. I found it best to go and collect the coffees etc myself. By day six one of the guys came and asked us! Have to say I found the coffee to be a bonus as the alcoholic drinks left a lot to be desired. They didn't really taste like vodka or rum. In fact one classic moment was a Russian lady tasting a vodka and then pulling the most amazing grimace I have ever seen. I would have preferred to have the opportunity to pay for a decent branded drink such as on two previous Thomson cruises.

The main adult dining restaurant was fine with decent choices and all well prepared with chefs ever present. Thanks to Lohran( hope I spelt her name correctly) who greeted us at every mealtime and Elshenawy who served us at the table with drinks and a smile.

We also did the Middle Eastern and Asian a la carte restaurants. Both are very good but more choice on the Asian menu. Highly recommended.

Evening entertainment was not good and the loud music booming intermittently through the day was a bit off putting but maybe different when half term holidays are not on.

Would we return to the hotel? The answer is yes because of the grounds, the service and the food. Is there room for improvement? Yes as we continued to play door lock roulette all week and some of the staff favoured certain individuals within the main building bars. There seems to be enough managers present during the day but seemed to disappear of an evening.

What would we change? The ability to buy or have served a premium spirit. Don't want gallons of the stuff, just the odd nice drink. Have one of the pool bars open of an evening. Warm evenings in nice grounds that are well lit should be used and it's something we definitely missed the opportunity of doing - it's about atmosphere and holiday experience (Previous holiday at Baron Palms Resort were able to visit the beach bar of an evening)

It is a nice place and we are actually looking to go back in the next few weeks whilst I recover from a knee operation. Any questions give me a shout. Mahalo

I am in the mid of my stay there now.
Every thing is excellent so far .There are many heated water pool. 6 slides aqua park from kids and they enjoy it so much .Rooms are amazing , its almost suite as there are separate sleep in the room for kids and that's the standard room. Eat and drink all are free including very delicious fresh juices and cocktails at the main bar till mid nigh , All the vending machines are free including testy ice tea and juices . The food , actually there is no much variety in the main restaurant but the prepare delicious meals except the salads , eat fresh vegi better.
The service is very welcoming and helpful all the time .
What they miss is a big aqua park which I always love in sharm but you could arrange day visit to the sharm gran aqua park "Cleo Park" but you should be courage enough because it has high in the sky slides
Enjoy it .

Absolutely great hotel and staff.
Lovely, clean and spacious room.
We emailed the hotel in advance and asked if our room could be near a pool and the beach and ended up with exactly that.
The snack bars are great and the staff are friendly and fun throughout the hotel.
The food choice in the main eating are is great also, could not fault it.
Good choice of cocktails with all inclusive.
The restaurants on site are lovely, especially the Chinese, I recommend visiting it during your stay.
Hard Rock Cafe and shopping around a 15 minute walk and a shopping are across the road also.
You can take a lovely walk along the beach strip too.
Heated pools where a bonus for holidaying in January.
I would strongly recommend taking some good mosquito repellant or buy it from the pharmacy on your first day.
Shops are on site if you don't fancy leaving the resort.
Weather was great. All around fantastic holiday, would visit again.

EXCELLENT yet again. I think this is our fifth or sixth trip to the Jaz Mirabel Beach which must be testament in itself. The Management and Staff are always very helpful, and seem pleased to see you and make you feel welcome. I have been on holidays before on the Continent and have often found the reception wanting, in as much as they want your money, but would prefer you to mail it over and not bother coming. NOT SO HERE.....always helpful, always with a smile and a little chat. We could not fault the attention to detail, or the quality of the food and drink. Everybody from Waheel the paper boy, Santos, Osama, Tamer, Mohammed and Abdul in the pool area and bars, Abd, Lobna and Hani in the restaurant, Kimo with his stretchy stretchy exercises, right up to Mr Ibrahim and Mr. Sayed in the management team. It is impossible to remember all the names but we would like to put in print our utmost thanks to the whole team and we have already started planning our next post Christmas trip to the Jaz Mirabel Beach. Well done everybody, many thanks and to quote Arnie......"We'll be back".

On arrival at the Hotel, our luggage was taken from the bus by the bell boys whilst we checked in. Check in was easy & painless, quickly followed by a 'golf buggy ride' to our room - the children were enjoying what proved to be a fantastic holiday already.

Our room was clean & spacious, complete with a balcony overlooking one of the many pools available within the grounds of the Jaz Mirabel Beach & Park hotel complex. There were bottles of complementary water (replaced daily), coke & fanta. The room was cleaned daily and each afternoon we returned from the pool, beach or a trip out, there was a new piece of 'towel art' to view (Peacock, dog/sheep, elephant, heart, etc).

Service by the poolside from the pool & bar staff, in the restaurants by the chefs & waiters, or staff in general areas of the hotel was excellent - we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. All of the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help make our stay an enjoyable one and that would last in our memories.

The hotel is located right on the beach. The jetty is still being constructed but this didn't stop us wandering along to the end to enjoy the view back towards the hotel.

If you are considering a trip to Sharm El Sheikh then we would highly recommend this hotel for the warm welcome, service and amenities it has to offer.
