My partner and I visited this resort for a 10 day getaway in November 2013. The layout of the hotel is good and the aqua park section is huge! I'm not sure if it was because we were there out of season, but the staff on the various water slides were a bit thin on the ground, so only one or two of them were open at any one time. Having said that, it all looked well maintained and clean with plenty to do. The hotel itself is around 20 years old and could perhaps do with some renovation, and the food at the restaurant was adequate if not exceptional, but all this didn't really detract from what turned out to be a lovely holiday.

The reason for that more than anything was the staff. They were fantastically attentive and cheerful. To a person, they all seemed to really care about how we were enjoying ourselves and wanted to look after us. Particular mention must go to El Sayed at the Lotus Bar. He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and we became firm friends. He treated us like royalty and this really made our holiday very special.

All in all, a wonderfully relaxing 10 days in the sun and I'd happily go back anytime.

We stayed at the park inn from 14 December travelling back on Christmas Eve, I have been to sharm on many occasions as I love it, this time my daughter, husband and two granddaughters came hence we chose the park inn because of the aqua park, I cannot praise this hotel highly enough, clean, spacious rooms, something for all tastes in the resteraunt, and you couldn't get more friendly staff, we had a wonderful time, only thing I suggest you watch out for is YOU travel and the excursions I booked a trip to Cairo, 4 days prior with them and was told by a couple who had done the trip that the guide service was poor and that they felt extremely isolated, as I was travelling there on my own, I had reservations, so tried to cancel within the stated 48 hrs on the booking ticket, I was told I would have to forfeit £130 of my £180 payment for my seat on the plane which obviously I couldn't afford to do, so went and I must say it was one of the best days of my life. The rep from YOU travel seemed disinterested once I had paid my money, so just be careful when booking with them, other than that a fantastic holiday and we will be going back to the park inn at some point in the future.

Just returned from a 14 night stay at the park inn. Had a pleasant enough stay but thought the hotel was quite run down and needs a bit of a face lift.
Found the staff helpful but a bit over friendly in the restaurant constantly being slapped on the back and talked to whilst eating became a bit irritating Was also offered "something nice too smoke" by one of the waiters read in to that what you will.....
You will be constantly pestered around the pool to buy spa treatments which we did and found them to be to a very low standard and more expensive than England.
Food we found to be very nice but a tad repetitive.
Our room had a superb view of the pool cleaned very well a kettle with coffee tea and bottled water restocked daily. A flat screen TV was supplied with a good variety of channels in all languages this was a bonus for when we fancied an early night.
The Christmas gala.....
food was outstanding and also had a great time in the restaurant but was seriously let down by the entertainment after in the tent the headline act was a dance by the animation team that wouldn't be out of place in a school talent show.
Staff also seem to look after you once they have been tipped this seems to be a bit backward but worthwhile remembering.

We stayed at the Park Inn from 7th Dec - 21st and had an amazing time.

First impressions were good, we had a speedy check in with a nice cold drink and the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We was given a free upgrade to a superior room (7451) as it was our 10th wedding anniversary, this room was lovely with a nice big comfy bed and very spacious. The room was very clean and we always had fresh towels and water and lovely towel art from the cleaner. The cleaner was vey friendly and always asked if everything was ok and did we need anything.

The food was Ok we are picky eaters and we always found something to eat. No matter what the hotel do they will never be able to please everyone as we all have different tastes.
A big shout out to Bedair and his mate ( sorry can't remember his name) who really could not do enough for us in the restaurant they even had our drinks ready on a table when we went in and always held a chair out for me and chatted to us. They even gave us a plate of cakes to take home with us.
There is a lovely snack bar open by the Aqua park that always serves pizza and chips yummy!

We had room service a couple of days and again the guy who delivered this again was very friendly.

The entertainment staff were also lovely always stopped to have a chat with you.

The grounds are lovely and well kept.

The pools were nice and big but very cold. The staff at the pool bars always brought us fresh drinks regularly we really didn't need to move.

We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back we are looking at prices for next year already. We had no faults at all and really can not understand what people find to complain about.

a little disappointed when we arrived at first impression,we had missed our flight the day before(yea we are stupid!) but on arrival they could not have been more helful, a complimentary drink, and once we were on our way to our room we were very impressed, lovely gardens, pools, bridges, all alight at night, our room was big, and we were very pleased with our double bed, each, and robes, in the daylight the hotel was as impressive as the night we had arrived. off to breakfast, everything you could want for breakfast, cereal, fruit juice, breads, all sorts of freshly cooked omelettes with any filling you choose. a lazy day by the pool, a walk to the shops(bit of a pain coz you get hassled to submission) although in soho square they cannot be a pain, so a much more enjoyable shop. all the staff at Park Inn are so attentive (although if you are female you get even more attention) the pools are lovely, the gardens are too, the aqua park would entertain everyone, a bonus,go to the beach by walking through the raddison blue hotel accross the road, but the beach cafe there is a real let down! the entertainment team are brilliant, friendly, helpful, and such a lovely bunch of guys, we had a fantastic time at the park inn, we would definately go back back!

Room Tip: don't bother being hassled by the shops nearby go to Soho square( taxi but don't pay £200 EP...

Almost all hotel complexes are very similar in built and size and the rooms seem in blocks in/around the main hotel. The lobby/reception of this hotel looked very tired and lacked much needed lighting albeit even natural. The staff were helpful and polite and spoke fairly well. We were welcomed to the lobby with a Christmas greeting and given an orange squash in a white plastic cup poured from a vending machine nearby. Registration didn't take long and after filling a form for the local holiday rep for the hotel who would advice on certain local protocols and do's and dont's as well as arranging any excursions in the area. The rep in this case was a Mr Yahia Rady who was a very courteous and polite gentleman albeit he reminded us of the comedian "Jackie Mason" when he spoke! Would recommend him to help you though. The rooms seem clean and tidy but you would see some "tiredness" showing here too. The air-con worked but was noisy. The beds were comfortable and clean. Complimentary bottled water was given every morning and a fridge and a safe is provided. We had a balcony too which is block built and the front wall is fairly high for privacy I guess but there are designed gaps in the wall too. The gardens and fountain pool areas are landscaped. The food (all inclusive deal) was a let down. It's a self serve buffet morning, noon and night with a chef/cook attending to a live station where for breakfast it was omelettes or fried eggs, lunch and dinner was pasta. Other than that you knew pretty much what would be on the menu during your stay with hardly any variation apart from the addition of a bbq(sometimes) just outside cooking either kebabs or chicken wings. The staff seemed polite and made efforts to interact with the guests, some perhaps more than others. This main restaurant seemed to have a feel of a work/office canteen and not of a 4*(apparently) hotel!
All the pool areas were appealing but hardly used all day, perhaps because they weren't heated or not enough guests around as seemed to be the case all over the area inside and out! The majority of guests seemed to be russians and some scandanavians. You can tell the Russian influence as most of the locals/staff can converse in their language! Some of the staff said "what to do sir we need their money!" The red sea is literally behind the sister hotel across the road (Radisson blu) which you can use and there's a complimentary bus from the hotel entrance(blu) to it's patch of private beach. The beach is nice and is sandy with a pier from which you can jump off and see the beautiful coral and various fish with a lifeguard in attendance. The red sea is a beautiful dark blue with Tiran island(famous for shipwrecks and scuba diving) ahead in the distance. You have 2 drinks stations on the beach which serve basic fizzy soft drinks, local alcoholic drinks and at certain times fries and pasta or hot dog pieces.
You have an assortment of little shops either side of the Park inn selling the usual touristy stuff and the obligatory camels offering rides or part exchange for your wife/girlfriend by the owners!! You will be continuously "asked/haggled" by the shop vendors to come in to see their wares but we found a "polite" no thank you, would suffice. There's really no point getting irked by their mannerisms and being confrontational as the art of diplomacy is fairly non existent and you're only there for a limited time so why ruin it?
The nearest restaurants like Hard Rock Café ,TGIF and starbucks is about 25 mins walk away on the same main road as your hotel or you can get a taxi to take you there. The area is called Le Strada. You will find the minute you're on or near the main road the horns will start beeping for your fare!
You can also venture further afield to Nama Bay and the old market town. The latter is self explanatory and is "old and dirty" with no risk of health and safety certificates being anywhere near any of the shops!!
Nama bay has an abundance of restaurants, shops and shisha bars which come to their own in the evenings. The beach area is worth visiting especially if you want to see the coral and can't swim.
Another mall that's worth the visit is SOHO which is a modern clean mall with shops, cafes.restaurants and an open theatre too. You are guaranteed of "no hassles" at this mall which we can concur.
We did the usual excursions arranged through Mr Raddy for a trip to the desert, quad biking, camel riding, bedouin entertainment with dinner and black tea and a look at the sky at night in the desert. The desert is flat as a pancake and no huge sand dunes you see in the films!!We also stopped at the "valley of echoes"
All in all it was an experience to see what the famous Sharm had to offer to us first time families. I think the conclusion we found was that a week's enough to get the excursions out of the way and roast yourselves during the day on the beach but it's probably not somewhere we'd contemplate going again to, anytime soon even though there is an evening karaoke bar above the lobby! It was
very noticeable how empty it was when we were there just days before Christmas and if the troubles in and around Cairo have had a major impact to a country which relies heavily on tourism? A bit surprised at the standard of this hotel with an international named brand too!
