We stayed with family and our friends in June. Since the price of the hotel is average, we didn’t expect too much from it, the area is nice though and the staff is very friendly in general, sometimes too friendly because a housekeeper tried to kiss me telling that he can’t have anything with his girlfriend until they marry and asked if he could be with me before her. Please be aware of your belongings because our friends lost a purse with the telephone or it was stolen from the room, also on the beach somebody stole their sunglasses. I left my laptop on the desk, fortunately it wasn’t stolen. When we went to old market I got a fake dollar. If you are brave enough or want adventures you can go by small minibus to the places outside the hotel, they stop near the hotel even on the opposite side if they see tourists and ask where they need to go, the price is maximum one dollar per person, and we didn’t pay for our 4 year old kids. There are people walking around the pool selling excursions, we bought the one where you look in the glass window at the bottom of the boat, the pictures in the leaflet and the boat itself are different, my friends told that bathyscaph is much better but more expensive, since you are in Egypt you can negotiate the price, we got discount 5 dollars for a 12 year old kid. Food is not fantastic, but on the 2d or 3d day you find what you like and go on with it. I would not recommend drinking alcohol in the bars. The area of the hotel is nice; there are swimming pools almost everywhere. We talked to guests from Rehana Royal which is close to Rehana Sharm, they told that only 2 a la carte restaurants are included in the deal, in Rehana Sharm – 4 a la carte are included and in general everything is the same. If I go to Egypt next time, I’ll choose the hotel in the Sharks Bay, my friends claim the reef is much better and more pleasant there. You can do this choice now.

a very late review stayed in march for my 50th birthday, all rooms overlook a pool, the main pool with waterslide tends to be noisy so we stayed around the pool nearest to the food court,we tended to eat breakfast in the food court not the main restaurant as this tended to be less overrun with other guest who thought they had the god given right to push in or just take the whole tray of food.
we tried all the al a carte restaurants our favorite was the italian but all served excellent food and the waiters couldnt do enough for you
our room was in block 9 which most of brits tend to be put in we thought it would be noisy because it was near the entertainment centre but we didnt hear anything overall a lovely hotel and if they stopped the russians from going we would go back but as there is no guarantee of this we definatley would not go back which is a pity.

I stayed here mid June for one week with my family and had read all the negative reviews but kept an open mind as you cant please everyone. The guests are mainly Russian/Ukrainan but they didnt bother me at all. The grounds were lovely and kept beautifully and we almost had a pool to ourselves as we were placed in a very quiet block. Bar staff were extra attentive and courteous when they discovered we were English, infact, they were lovely. Thats all the nice things I have to say!

FOOD; not great. We ended up going out most evenings as the Menu was geared for the Russians. You probably could get something to suit but since its a holiday I dont think you should have to settle for something that you wouldnt recognise.

DRINKS; awful. If you are a beer drinker then you will survive! But if you like wine or spirits, forget it. I had an almost alcohol free holiday. I saw lots of people bringing Bottles of spirits from their rooms to the lounge and just getting mixers from the Bar.

SECURITY; not great. I had a Kindle stolen from my bedside drawer when we went out for something to eat. Whoever took it did not break into the room. The Manager & Head of security came and checked out the door & patio doors. This made me feel very uneasy and of course we used the in room safe for phones etc from then on.

HOUSEKEEPING; ok. 1st day we had towel art and the housekeeper called to the room to ask if we were happy with the clean, he was very chatty and willing to please. However he took the flowers from the towel art and started to put them in my hair and then asked if he could put them in my Bikini top!!!!!!......I said no!!!!!! My husband offered him a tip the next day to make sure the room continued to be cleaned well but he refused it because it was coins and not a note. My childrens room wasnt cleaned for 4 days and we didnt have any more towel art.

I came down with a really bad tummy on the 3rd day and still have it! but the rest of the family were fine. I was the only one of the family who used the pool and on the last night my son saw a cleaner empty a mop bucket of dirty water into the pool. Probably didnt cause my stomach upset but I was disappointed that a member of staff would do that since the standard of hygene was good in the resort.

DO NOT UPGRADE TO ULTRA ALL INCLUSIVE, you will not utilise benifits stated. Drinks were served after midnight to eveyone whilst we were there and the al a carte restuarants that you can visit with this upgrade charge you for wine. We paid for 5 people, almost $500, total waste.

This was our 3rd time in Egypt and we loved this hotel. We stayed from May 29th till June 8th. It wasn't an expensive holiday so we knew that everything would not be perfect. There were some very good points to the hotel, but also a couple of bad points.

The good points were the pools and grounds which were beautiful, the rooms are lovely and spacious (if you ask for a kettle in your room one with tea and sugar can be provided), also our cleaner was lovely and he kept our room looking nice and clean!, the staff are amazing, so friendly, a real credit to the hotel, the al a carte restaurants were all great, especially the Mexican and the Lebanese, and we booked in to these as many times as we liked (perhaps this was because the hotel wasn't very busy?), it was easy to get served at the bar as there was a single file queue (so there was no pushing in and yes this hotel was 90% Russians but that did not bother us at all), the entertainment was good most of the time, there was a nightclub and the gym was one of the best I've been in whilst on holiday. The poolside bars did nice little snacks if you didn't fancy the main restaurant and you could get ice creams at the food court!

Bad points were the cleanliness of the ladies toilets (reception was the worst!), this really needs to be addressed as it was very off putting!!! The main restaurant was ok, but we much preferred the al a cartes, the entertainment as per the above was good, but it was mainly directed at the Russians as was the music in the nightclub, the alcohol wasn't great, didn't really enjoy the booze as much as we have at other all inclusives. Also the animation team did come over to us a bit but there was a language barrier, there was an English member of the team but she never spoke to us.

Other tips - block 9 was great to stay in as away from the noise at night, take dollars to spend, the union Jack pub is a 10 minute walk away (turn left out of the hotel) and is great for footie and food and do take some tummy tablets as we were a little ill at the start of the holiday.

Just back from rehana we had a great time staff are great can't do enough for you . The rooms were very spacious and clean and modern . Yassarh the bar manager bent over back wards to make your stay great .the entertainment staff worked very hard and always a smile and took time to talk to us .the food as ok but not to our taste we ate in alacarte restaurants every night coz main resturant was geared for Russians . Russians are very rude and so arrogant just wish there was more English with just 5 % of us . A must is the boat trip we saw dolphins and sting rays and the fish were so colourful. We shall return again
