My husband & I travelled to Sharm in Feb. this year. We looked at the reviews & decided to book, seemed too good to be true, well it was! The coach first drew up at the Rehana royal beach hotel which is where we thought we were staying, looking at the hotel pictures, however we were accomodated in the 'Rehana Sharm resort' accoss the road, which on first appearances looked to be a poor '3rd star'. The gardens are beautiful, the food not bad, but due to the vast numbers of rude Russian guests, meal times are like a free for all, the waiters are reluctant to clear the tables or help in any way, unless they know you are not Russian. Luckily we sussed this out fairly early on by leaving a small tip after our meal, from then on no problems. The rooms are very basic, but clean, and we didn't come across anyone with a dodgy tummy, so they must be doing something right! Probably would not go back again, but the snorkelling was amazing. Oh P.S. there is another hotel almost next door, with a similar name also, this one also looks to be superior but did not visit so can't be sure.

I stayed at the Rehana Resort Hotel in December with my sister. Our first impression was not very good. The food was atrocious, the room was dark and dingy, we were moved on complaining. The linen and towels were grey and shabby, The place was full of Russians who were extremely rude. Then we met Aymen the pool barman. We went to the pool bar the first evening, we met up with oher british people and we all made it our meeting place for the duration of the holiday. There were no pre arrangements to meet there we just turned up. Our party also included a couple of Russians and a man from the Ukraine, also a Polish family. Aymen looked after all of us. He was always polite and courteous, forever cleaning the bar area. He never encroached on our privacy but was always there with a drink waiting without being asked. The holiday we thought was going to be awful changed overnight to a great holiday purely bcause of Aymens attitude. I must also compliment the man on the towel bar with his great service and the cleaners who not only kept the rooms clean but also provided us with great displays made from the towels. The hotel has nicely laid out grounds and is quite picturesque but the food needs improving and also the bed linen needs replacing. I would go back to this hotel knowing Aymen would be there at the bar to serve us and look after us and would rcommend it to friends with this being the main reason.

Aymen, never encroached on any of us but only joined in at our request. I must also add that two russians came part of our nightly party along with a man from the Ukraine. I would go back to this Hotel if only to see Aymen and his wonderful manner. I must also compliment the man at the towel bar and the cleaners who made lovely displays of our towels as well as keeping the room clean. I am sure that if we did not be as fortunate as to be served by Ayman our impression of the Hotel would have probably been not very good as the service received by him was first class.

People will have a moan about anything! This is a beautiful hotel that is everything that me and my partner where looking for. Clean, well kept rooms, plenty to choose from everyday food wise. The alcohol was no where near as bad as some of the reviews make out..what do people expect for local drink? if you want smirn off vodka and jack daniels then buy it at the duty free! Some poeple seem to be oblivious to the fact that it is egypt and although i do admit that the hotel is not a 5* (like it was advertised on lowcostholidays who we booked through) but was definitely a 4*. Lovley people who where more than happy to help you and always spoke, unlike when we went to spain last year and the people where so ignorant! Would definitely return to this hotel, was perfect for what we where looking for.. sun, nice hotel, and lovely people! p.s. if you don't like the food there is a kfc down the road that delivers!

My partner and I have just come back home from a 2 week stay at Rehana Sharm. It was our 4th back there. We just love it there. Well the service from the staff is excellent and they are friendly. They make you feel welcome. It was nice to see old staff. Well a holiday is what u make it. We thouroughly enjoyed it. The only critism we have there isnt much entertainment and not enough bar staff 1 per bar really isnt enough. But on the whole we give it 100%

Me and my daughter went to the Rehana Sharm Resort during March 2009 to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our one week holiday at the hotel, that we decided to return the following month for two weeks and then I had decided to return to the hotel during December 2009 for two weeks.
We found the hospitality of the staff at the hotel superb, the food was excellent and we had no problems with the hotel room. The only problem we had was having to tolerate the rudeness of the Russian holiday makers, especially to the hotel staff which was uncalled for. Ayman the barman looked after me and my daughter very well, other tourists that we had met who regularly visited his bar, did agree with us that he is a really good barman. I do recommend that you do go to his bar for a drink, you do not have to wait long at his bar for a drink, as he works so efficiently. We are all intending on meeting up again at the hotel and saying hello to the staff who we have all missed very much. Ayman is the best barman that me and my daughter have ever met. We didn't tip all of the staff at the hotel, but we were still well catered for, it wasn't a problem and didn't affect the service we received from the staff. The chef, who was also called Ayman also looked after us well and made sure that we were well looked after and that everything was okay at the hotel. Whenever we had any queries at the hotel reception, Ahmed Ismail would always greet us and assist us with any queries.
I really enjoyed the challenge of learning to scuba dive at the hotel free of charge and I was so pleased to learn the skill to scuba dive in the Red Sea. I am now addicted to scuba diving, aswell as the Rehana Sharm Resort.
I had met other tourists at the hotel from England that regularly stay at the same hotel for their annual holidays. The staff at the hotel have always made us feel welcome and we will continue to have future holidays at the hotel.

We have just got back from this Resort. We went for the rest and relaxation of a warm climate and to chill out totally. This is exactly what we have just had. It was beautiful.
There were some downers of the holiday, but Sharm is still quite a new resort.
The downers:-
The first week we found that there were far too many RUDE Russians, as did everyone, and EVERYONE hated them ! They are rude and concieted, they love themselves to bits! Posing all the time, thinking they are all supermodels, Seeing is believing! It is soooooo laughable! so entertaining. ITS Hilarious! They drink vodka, from the time the bars open at 10am ! Unbelievable, they dont ask nicely. THEY DEMAND it !! wanting to be filled to the top of the glass, the barmen refuses to do this and they drink down a double then get another one straight off !! GREEDY BUGGERS! They push in front and cant get close enough if they stand behind you waiting to get food!! Like its going out of fashion. They fill their plates mountainiously, with their desert on the same plate ! Unbelieveable. THEN!! they dont even eat it wasting so much food so others cant have it!! This was the only downer of the whole holiday ! Apparrantly Egypt And Russia have a pact with their governments to give the Russians cheap holidays in December January February and beginning of March. This is their discounted period.
The second week was far better, hardly any Russians, much calmer atmosphere all round the hotel. ALL the staff were so much more less stressed and calmer. We had no complaints the whole holiday from any staff, only the barman when our normal barman had gone back home for 2 weeks. We got such a better side all round, the tables were laid properly, with glasses and tea cups and knives and forks, clean table cloths, ALL this the Russians DID NOT get the week previous.
We had a really good repore with the Egyptians, learning to speak a few words of Arabic, which they loved ! ! THEY LOVE the English People. So please be nice to them! THEY are lovely hard working people, and put a lot of English to shame!!
The pools were beautiful and kept clean every day as they were cleaned during the night. There were cleaners around the pool to make sure everything was cleaned. It puts the UK to shame, we are a disgusting country compared to Egypt. Everything was cleaned down all the time, that is all day, the bar areas were cleaned with discinfectant, and the plastic glasses were steam cleaned all the time, in front of us, in a steam machine. SO therefore, were clean every time. The towels were collected and took off to the laundry every night, our room was next to the towel centre, and we made good friends with the people in there.
Our rooms were kept lovely and clean and we had a family room for the two of us as we were supposed to have been moved to an executive room which means a room with a bath ! But because we were happy where they put us on the first nite we asked to stay where we were! It was lovely! The cleaners were lovely, and made us pretty things with our towels, even doing a lovely thing for mothers day, which theirs is a week after ours, I had taken my cards out with me!! LOVELY! And always made sure we had clean towels and sheets.
We were looked after the whole holiday we had two weeks, by the pool we were looked after, in the restaurant we were saved a table for 2, and in the bar they were always so pleased to see us !
And breakfast we cud have had our breakfast outside every morning if we wanted, but a few days was a bit too windy.
We had a beautiful holiday. So lazy, we didnt do any trips as thats not what we went for. We had a chillout and thats what we had. The local drinks werent as bad as people make out, we went to Sharm a couple of years ago, and THEN the local whiskey and vodka tasted like YUK! but this hotel, tasted like whiskey ! ! and vodka ! The wine was so much nicer too, Red Rosa and White nice ! palletable.
The food could have been so much nicer, but by the end of the second week, started to get much nicer. They were cooking outside too, so you need to look around whats being cooked to see what choices you have, and this time i didnt come home with a dreadful stomach bug, I watched everything that I ate! and enjoyed everything !! very nice, the pasta I found was the best, it was cooked in front of you in a very hot pan!
I enjoyed it so much! lovely!!
The worst parts of our travels were coming into Sharm airport six planes all at once and chaos all around !! A complete nightmare the toilets disgustingly dirty !
and then the flight home being an hour more than when we came, and that the clocks went forward for summertime ! CONFUSING ! ! we got home about half eleven at night, stopped at a local McDonalds drive thru, and the disgusting dirty mess that boy racers had left, what a dirty country we are compared with the cleanliness of EGYPT!!! SHAMELESS !!!! HOW I love the UK!?? NOT !
