“they have more to offer than they advertize”

We really loved almost everything about this resort. My biggest criticism was the lousy internet service. Surely, if you can get a great internet connection at a picnic table by a food truck, this expensive resort could find a way to get a good connection to all of their bungalows, even if it is wired rather than WiFi.

We knew that they loaned snorkel equip free of charge, but they ought to publicize that also have single and double kayaks and stand-up paddle boards which they loan, free of charge.

Before our trip I had trouble finding out exact what kind of electrical outlets they have. We had a deluxe overwater bungalow and it included: bathroom(110v shaver), living area(220v French round prongs), desk(one 220v French round prongs, and one regular 110v U.S. prongs). I brought along a short 3-outlet extension cord which I plugged in at the desk area, giving us ample outlets to charge our computer, tablets, etc.

The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is a 5 min. walk to the little "town" of Maharepa which has a decent grocery store, restaurants, and other shops. It is definitely more conveniently located than the other major resorts - Hilton, Intercontinental, and Sofitel. If you aren't renting a car this is a definite advantage.

Room Tip: Overwater deluxe bungalows on the left have a direct view of sunsets - rooms on the end 401,402 409...

Stayed in overwater bungalows. Absolutely perfect.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Resort is not too large and perfectly located.
Highly recommend it.

For our week-long stay in Bora-Bora and Moorea, we saved the best for last... and for me to say this place was the best, it had to beat out some pretty incredible places we'd already stayed. For our swan-song in the Polynesian Islands, we splurged on an over-water bungalow... by booking, non-refundable, well in advance, we got a great price on two nights in a premium (outermost) bungalow.

The bungalow (#422) was modern, very roomy, had a glass panel in the floor, to allow us to see the aquatic life beneath (I even have a pic of myself snorkeling underneath!). The balcony had an incredible view of the lagoon, and the lower balcony had a ladder so we could (and did) snorkel right from our room. Not the best snorkeling in the islands, but still, pretty amazing. It was here we that saw the only sea turtle of this trip - apparently, he's a "regular", showing up at 3-4 PM every day to munch on algae about 20' below the surface. Also, when people in one of the other bungalows were feeding the fish with bread, we found ourselves surrounded by hundreds of frenzied, colorful fish... a fun and unique experience.

Other noteworthy features of this hotel - it was the most "Americanized" of any of the places we stayed in French Polynesia - everyone spoke English, and we didn't feel like outsiders. Gorgeous infinity-pool, an inner lagoon, rich with smaller versions of the gorgeous tropicals, cgiant clams, and other sea life we'd seen in other forays into the lagoons (babies?) . The Breakfast buffet was as good as any in the islands, and included with the room. We didn't get a chance to sample the spa, or rent one of the JetSkis, but everything looked first rate.

We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Go for one of the outermost, "premium" bungalows... they're worth it for the easy acce...

We were fortunate to spend 6 wonderful days at the resort. Would advise that you look at the local restaurants for your meals as it is most expensive to eat at the resort. The resort manager, Serg and his team went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and unforgettable.

We stayed at the Moorea Pearl during the 2nd week of May. We arrived mid morning and were able to immediately get into our bungalow. Our stay could not have been more wonderful. The staff was very attentive and cheerful. Everyone with a smile on their face and happy to see to our needs. We picked the Pearl because it was one of the smaller resorts, and we are so glad that we did. It was within walking distance of a small shopping and dining area, which made it even more convenient. We stayed in over-water bungalow #224 and were not disappointed. It afforded us a view of both the sunrise and sunset. The snorkeling from our bungalow made it all the more fun. The breakfast buffet each morning was very good. It contained a wide variety of items and the fresh fruits and juices were delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone.

Room Tip: Spend the extra cash and select a premium over water bungalow. We would suggest 220 - 226 they are...

I spent 5 nights at the Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa in May for a bit of relaxation. It certainly provided this and more. I had a premium overwater bungalow that was large, clean and very well appointed. The resort itself had everything you could want. Snorkeling in the lagoon, swimming in the pool or at the beach and all gear was provided. There were 2 restaurants that, I felt, were very adequate and not too expensive. The staff were amazing and also the spa which was a great treat. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone contemplating a little time away in beautiful Moorea!
The only small problem I had was with the check-in and check-out service. Very slow and tiring!

Room Tip: Any of the rooms would be amazing. Plenty of opportunity to swim wherever you like.

my husband and granddaughter and myself stayed at an overwater bungalow (406). They kept it so clean and the deck was so peaceful to sit and watch the sunset. I would go back in a heart beat, but don't really seeing that happen. I must say that the food in the restraunt wasn't to my liking and very expensive. The American breakfast was great, just about anything you could think of they had. The swimming pool was Georgia as well as the grounds.

Room Tip: Our room was about the center of the bungalows so you got a great view of the sunset.

It’s very convenient, at just 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the ferry terminal, and with boutiques, restaurants and a small shopping center close at hand. The style of the resort is a tasteful combination of the traditional and the contemporary with a powerful sense of Polynesia. There are 28 over-water bungalows built over the lagoon on piles, 8 more bungalows on the beach and 28 spread through the beautiful grounds with their own private pools and little gardens. The remaining 22 rooms and 8 duplexes of this 94-unit resort are in a small building.
