Our girlfriend and I just finished spending 11 days on the island. We stayed at several places on the island and spent our last 4 nights with Tranquilseas. The amount of thought and work that went into this place is astonishing! The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lots of plant life and the rooms are amazing. The views of the ocean from the place is breathtaking. The place really makes you feel like you are on a secluded island and is only a short cab ride to West End which has some great bars and night life. Unfortunately the weather turned bad on us at the end, so we didn't get a chance to try Yoga but the Yoga floor on the top floor of one of the structures has an amazing view of the ocean. The food was delicious and the owners were super friendly. The place really makes you feel as if you are at home. If you are looking for a dive resort with everything you need under one roof, this place is definitely it!

If you are looking for a break in diving for a day and interested in hiking, talk to the owners. They have explored the entire island and know a lot of cool spots to see. We will definitely be returning in the future to stay at Tranquilseas.

This was our 2nd time to Roatan & our 1st to stay in West End. Rented a condo & asked the landlord where to go for night time entertainment!! They heavily suggested Tapas Tuesday @ Tranquil Seas. Really glad we went! They are basically right next door to Anthony's Key & the dolphin experience, fyi. Anyway, we got there around 6:30 & there was already a small ensemble playing under the stars on the deck! We ordered several tapas & drinks. The band was entertaining, but, they need a better lead singer!! :) The food was good. One of the owners gave us a tour of the complex and the cabanas!! It was so beautiful!! The cabanas are very unique, comfortable & cozy!! They were made and decorated with local materials & art! The whole place is like a giant tree house on multi-levels!! Just awesome!! The staff was amazing as well. You definitely need to make this one of your stops, if you don't end up staying here!!

I've lived on Roatan for over 5 years and when I come back to visit I'm very selective on where to stay. The town of West End is too busy for me these days, and West Bay is a tourist trap. I look for places that do things a little different and Tranquil Seas Eco Resort does just that.

The rooms have an authentic feel created by the natural stone and aged wood used throughout the construction. We loved the bed with its comfortable mattress and bedpost made from reclaimed jungle tree trunks. The shower was by far the best I've had on Roatan. Hot Hot water powered by the solar heater and all surrounded by a stunning mural of Eagle Ray's swimming.

The Sunken Fish Bar is a great place to relax while watching the sunset and chatting with the other guest about their adventures that day. I tried everything on the menu but the Tapas night on Tuesday was my favorite. Authentic Spanish dishes served under the stars made one memorable night for us. The wine helped too!

You can't go wrong with Tranquil Seas Eco Resort. You'll find relaxing is easy and if you want to get adventurous the owner Chris can help arrange diving, snorkeling, fishing, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

Room Tip: The new rooms are amazing and the views can't be beat!

Diane provided the most professional, knowledgeable and skillful dive master service I've ever experienced. She was always patient and thorough, polite and attentive. During our dives she would always point out and describe sea life of all sizes which really expanded the experience beyond the "eye candy" that Roatan's amazing reefs provide. It was my second dive vacation in only 3 years, so I needed to be paired with a dive master that was up to the task and Diane went beyond the call of duty. We did not stay to sleep, but the rest of the staff was so personable I would really be eager to stay there for the entire resort on future visits. Top notch is all I can say.

This is the third time we have been to Tranquilseas. We rarely make return visits anywhere but we like this place so much we expect to return as often as possible. We came to get in a bunch of dives and the staff worked with us to maximize opportunities. Out of 21 dives, all were very good, no glitches. We did two days of "safari" diving, both of which were extraordinary. If you like barrier reef diving but don't want to deal with crowded boats and long rides this is the place to go. The lodge itself is nothing short of wonderful. The cabanas are all nestled in amongst lushly planted gardens. It has a real jungle like feel. If you like snorkeling you can swim out from shore and explore the inner edge of the reef. There is tons of sea life right there. The people that run this place really care about the reef, the island and the people of the area. I can't wait until the next opportunity that we have to visit here.

Room Tip: We like treefrog because it is quiet and has a great view. Its small but comfortable. The two new su...

We have for the first time in our diving experience come back three times to the same place that being: Tranquilseas!! This fantastic eco friendly resort provides excellent dive masters, clean, quiet and comfortable facilities and terrific views. WE love Chris and Monica and many of the other members of their community at Tranquilseas. We always get the room we want. Breakfast is part of the package and there are a variety of delicious options. TAPAS on Tuesday is a lively event with local music and wonderful tapas made by Monica who is a grade A chef. Tranquilseas is a bird lovers dream which in part are drawn from the many tropical plants that are lovingly maintained on site. Easy access from the airport (free shuttle service) and within moments of arriving you can be snorkeling and or diving on the reef in the mere seconds it takes to throw on your fins and swimsuit. We will be back soon because we love it and it is VERY affordable.

Room Tip: WE love tree frog but each room has its own unique charm.

Owners put a lot of thought in their design of the lodge and the amenities. It was a great expierene to be a guest of such wonderful people. The diving with Tranquil Seas is first class, they always have something special to offer and go out of their way to visit the best dive spots. Simply loved our Tranquil stay!
