Description: The Sunset Grill is located at the West End in Half Moon Bay on the beautiful Caribbean island of Roatan. It features water on both sides, the Caribbean sunset at your back and a Half Moon beach in the front. If you want to fish, kayak, or simply play on the beach, this setting supports all three. Our shore has beautiful white sand beaches protected by a living coral reef that is so close you can swim, snorkel, or shore dive just a short walk from our restaurant and bar. Oh yeah, did we mention the sunsets!

“Great location between west end and half moon bay”

We stopped here for a seafood dinner of Lionfish, lobster and shrimp. It was all quite good, but a little pricier than we expected. The view was great, with quick and friendly service. The menu had good variety, and would satisfy many tastes.

“Lovely bar and alfresco dining!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2014

After walking past the church, along the beach and despite inevitably getting sand in your toes the Sunset Grill awaits and doesn't disappoint.

Waiters are friendly and the Mojito's mixed perfectly. We were promptly told that one of the dishes we ordered wasn't available but there were plenty of other choices on the menu so it really wasn't a problem.

My grilled fish was delicious and eating on the veranda was really nice. There were some local people here (on a date) and the assumption if the locals eat here then the foods got to be good is true.

Well worth checking out! :-)

“Best Sauce Ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

Meal was fantastic- seafood plentiful, harbonara sauce divine, key lime pie ... words cannot describe. Highly recommend this place to eat, wish we'd had more nights in West End to come back. Owners very friendly, waiters even friendlier! Bit hard to find- you need to walk to the end fo the main beach, furthest left hand side when you are facing the water. Feels dodgy, but trust it. Sunset Grill is the building at the end, 2 stories, lots of lights. Worth it!

“Great place to have a cold beer!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

We didn't actually eat at the Sunset Grill but we sat outside on their lounge chairs and enjoyed ice cold beers on the beach. We also rented a kayak for $16/day. With the kayak rental we were able to also use their lounge chairs. The people that work there and manage the Sunset are very nice and provided great service. They had a pretty good menu but we never did try the food. We will stop by there for sure the next time we're in Roatan.

“Lobster”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014

Review is based, mainly, on my Saturday night 'Lobster Special' experience. Four lobster tails for $25.00, and they were excellent. Regret that I only discovered the place during my last few days in Roatan. It's possible to overlook the Sunset Grill because it isn't on the main street, and it's sign/menu is easy to confuse in the jumble of ads where it's side street is. Find that it has an excellent bar; sports TV (if that interests you) and a GREAT beach location. They have beach chairs in front of the restaurant that customers can utilize, and I wish I'd known about being able to eat/drink on their nice beach with the excellent access to a protected swimming area. Staff was very friendly and it looks like a nice place to spend more time.
