I stayed in this hoyel for one night on 25th of january 2014. This is a small hotel , maybe residence converted into hotel, with small basic rooms.
They have tried to give it heritage touch with old furniture and stuff like that, but this thing does not appealed to me much.
I stayed in their deluxe room on the second floor, the size of the room was small, it had a window which opened to the road and across road is a dirty river body from where strange foul smell was coming in the morning.

The breakfast spread was very very basic nothing to offer much, house keeping was OK, but as this hotel does not have any open spaces i felt suffocated there.

The location of the hotel is inside the lanes and not walkable distance to the market or the jetty, however the taxi stand right across the hotel had taxis available round the clock.

Over all a clean place just ok for a overnight stay, mostly foreigners were staying there as they get fascinated by this heritage touch.

Room Tip: Take rooms with balconies...

This hotel is situated in the area known as Fontainhas, where you can wander down streets and alleys and get a very good feel for the legacy of the Portuguese. I was upgraded to a large, superior room (one of four, in what was an old school-house, across the road). It was quiet and cool - a perfect place to escape the early afternoon sun for a siesta, before having a cool beer on the first floor verandah restaurant/cafe of the hotel itself. Evening meals were good. Breakfast was adequate. The tiling in the bathrooms is like crazy paving and, in fact, the bathrooms could be updated. But this is a minor gripe. The staff were welcoming, friendly and responsive in need. From here, I found I could explore the entire inner city by foot. Recommended by one traveller who would return.

Decorated with Indo-Portuguese furniture, this old refurbished building and its so friendly staff make your stay in Panaji, Goa, a pleasant place to relax, not far from the centre. If you don't feel like walking, just take a rickshaw for around one Euro! It has a veranda restaurant where you can sip the local 'brandy' = fenny, with or without lime juice and watch the locals go by. Great breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 1st floor, preferably at the back.

A beautifully appointed heritage hotel with lovely internal courtyard and a small open garden dining area at the front of the property. All rooms are full of beautiful antique furniture including four poster beds. Our room was on the second floor and had gorgeous glass and timber arched doors which opened onto a view of the street and trees which run parallel to the river. It is situated within a safe easy walk of attractions and great restaurants. My friend and I booked two rooms here in late December early January for 2 nights and we loved it! We would have stayed a third night but they were fully booked. The staff were also incredibly helpful as was Jack who is a part owner who helped my friend and I to contact tour operators who did not turn up. He got one of his staff to drive us to where we needed to be so that we didn't miss our tour. This he did not have to do but did so anyway with such good grace! My friend and I just loved this place and can't recommend it highly enough to anyone, family, friends, business or couples. It just oozes Goan charm and friendliness.

Room Tip: The second floor rooms have lovely glass and timber double doors which open on to tiny balcony. All...

A lovely old hotel located in the centre of Panaji. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful and food is good in the restaurant. Rooms could do with a little TLC e.g. bathrooms are quite old, bobbly sheets and only half the lights worked in our room. However you have to weigh this up against the cost of the room. A good choice if stopping over in Panaji to visit Old Goa.

A quaint little property yet maintained with precision. Am a little surprised why i did not discover this property till now. Brilliant rooms with a typical Portuguese and old Goan feel. Huge see through ceiling lamps, finely carved wood work with all basic amenities. Most of all, i was impressed with the cleanliness. Clean spotless sheets, pillows etc and a damn clean bathroom. The shower could have been a little higher as someone as tall as me may face a challenge. Extremely well priced and right in the heart of Panjim. All in all worth every penny spent. A very welcoming staff and most important very warm.

Panjim Peoples hotel is situated in a very nice part of Panjim close to many of the local attractions. The building itself is beautiful and is seen pictured on a lot of postcards etc. There is also a nice gallery on the bottom floor which is worth a visit.

The rooms in this hotel are very spacious and incredibly comfortable and well decorated. The bathrooms walls and floors are made up of a mosaic of hundreds of different tiles giving it a very unique and fantastic appearance.

The staff in the hotel are fantastic, and amongst the most professional and polite hotel staff we have experienced on our travels in India. The restaurant also serves great food by their talented chef and the waiting staff are also great with an overall good atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in or around Panjim and thank all the staff for making our stay a great experience.

Room Tip: Each of the rooms in Panjim Peoples are excellent, unique and all highly recommended.
