Description: Sher-e-Punjab is the oldest Punjabi restaurant in Panjim, and is the branch of the family that initially opened Sher-e-Punjab in Bombay in the early 1930’s. It is located on the 18th June Road, traditionally Panjim’s shopping area popular among tourists and locals. This “Goan” Sikh owned 200 plus seater restaurant has been serving guests since 1969 and has grown into what it is now only through the grace of its clientele. The restaurant serves authentic Punjabi cuisine and local seafood as well as Goan and Indo-Chinese dishes.Aside from this they also serve sandwiches, samosas and freshly brewed coffees and are known for their Gulab Jamuns,Rabdi,Kulfi and other desserts. The bar is well stocked with Indian and International spirits, wines and brews. The restaurant has A/C and non A/c sections as well as a comfortable outdoor garden seating. The guests happiness is all that is aimed for at this restaurant, right from the time it opens at 11 A.M till the end of the day at 12 A.M.

While we were in Panaji shopping, stopped by here to take the weight off our feet and have a something cooling to drink. had 4 x Cokes 160RS and they have free wi-fi that actually works, very speedy, must have fibre optic, all in all a good place to stop by. Didn't stop for food but maybe next time.

The best part I liked about it was that it was the only restaurant in the whole city which was open at 11:30 PM. It actually gave a lot of relief as I was just dying of hunger, lol. Jokes apart, the service of this hotel is par excellence. Delicious food and quick service. You'll get multiple cuisines at this restaurant.
Good Luck !!!

The interior of the place is very dull and dingy and dirty. But the food out here is awesome. If one just wants to have on of the best tandoori dishes, then this is the place. The serving portions are very large. We ordered for fish malai tikka, chicken malai tikka, grilled fish and chicken haryali tikka. All the dishes served were awesome. For interior I will give 2/10 and for food I will give 9/10/.

Located in the happening 18th June road, the hotel is quite roomy for a crowded place. It has an A/c and a non A/c Section. The ambiance of the a/c section was quite ok, and the seating quite comfortable. We ordered a combination of veg and fish items. The fish tikka was excellent and well done. We had ordered a stuffed capsicum item, and unexpectedly it came dunked in a bowl of curry. The curry, tasted exactly like another dish, the 'mutter paneer' we ordered. For desert, it was Malai Kulfi and it was fresh and mouth smacking. The items were all reasonably priced and service was pretty fast.
