This is a nice walk through the historical streets of Panjim. Old buildings, quaint pretty by lanes and pretty churches.
I went in June when the monsoon was just setting in so at one point a sudden shower had us looking for shelter. During most times of the year (except December to February), afternoons can get warm to hot so morning or early evening is the best time to start.

Our tour guide was professional and friendly. Her knowledge of architecture and culture was amazing. We learnt quite a few things about Panjim and Goa that we'd have missed. The guide was very objective and open to questions. I really recommend the tour for the history, culture and architecture enthusiasts.

I was informed that the tour fees will be used towards charity, especially restoration purposes and the tour guides are mostly volunteers, they have a professional life. I contacted a tour guide and he was away from Goa on business. Although he was out of town, he responded immediately and gave me two options: conduct a tour right after he arrived or contact another guide. I liked the courtesy, professionalism and committment for a social/cultural cause although he's a busy individual.

Its OK. Some of the old mansions have been renovated and look impressive. The church, the square, the well, are all very photogenic. It only takes about half an hour to wander through and it's great that someone has taken the risk of investing in a tourist potential. Problem for Europeans is that most of southern Europe has thousands of ancient villages and towns. If you are on a day trip to the town, it's worth a short visit and a quick look round the scruffy temple on the hill behind. If you try and fit in the fish and poultry market take some anti puke tabs before entering. Have lunch at the Marriott to recover.

A walk through the city lanes is just superb and reminds history. Loved the colonial structures, reflected the European culture. The buildings and structures shows the value of Goa and why it is one of the favorite destinations in India. The place is photogenic, one can have some memorable clicks here with the colonial buildings. If you walk a few minutes ahead, you can find houses of Christian families which shows the Goanese style.

Loved the place and suggest this walk through the city to all travelers.

It is in central part of Panji city. Good to watch Old buildings. Most of the buildings are from old time but renovated with attractive colors. Good place for photographers but I think it is little bit hyped as I was expecting very old building which will take me in old time!
If you have spared time then surely not to miss this place!
