It is a huge white washed structure, but dark and damp and dinghy inside. There are no lights, and nothing much of interest to keep you focused even for a few minutes.

This church is nice. But it could've been nicer if they try to maintain the cleanliness and restore a bit and paint the church. I am wondering if this church is still operating because when I went here the church looks abandoned though there are few visitors..

This is just opposite to the Bom Jesus Basilica. It is an old cathedral and worth a visit if you are visiting Old Goa.

Se Cathedral is the largest church in India.
The church is located opposite to Bom Jesus church and this stands in a very large property that is well maintained with lawns and pavements. The view of this church from a distance is too good. Looks like some of the western churches with its tall and large structure, painted pure white amidst the green lawns. The sight is soothing and worth remembering.
The inside of the church is adorned with multiple smaller altars with paintings of mary, jesus and some other saints. The main altar itself has a lot of adornments and worth seeing. I had thought that the best altar I had seen was that of St. Aloysious Chapel's. but this one with small portugese modelled balconies on the walls was spectacular. Inside of the church, the seating is more like a cross itself. It's walls are very tall, guess can be compared to a 5 storeyed building.

Se Cathedral, also called Se Cathedral de Santa Catarina was first built in 1510 (quite a few churches in Goa were built in 1510 when Afonso de Albuquerque defeated Adil Shah on Catherine day). The church was over time enlarged, rebuilt, completed in 1619 and consecrated in 1640.
The maim altar in the cathedral is dedicated to St Catherine. On either side of the nave are wooden statues of Saints Peter and Paul.
The cathedral has great religious significance and is one of the largest cathedrals in India, probably in the whole of Asia.
In front of the cathedral steps is a courtyard with a beautiful statue of Jesus Christ. The facade of the cathedral is impressive and has a tower on one side. The South tower collapsed in 1776.
The cathedral is located in a vast complex that has the Se Cathedral itself, the Church of St Francis of Assisi, the Chapel of St Catherine and the Archaeological museum.
Just across the road from this complex is the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Tomb of St Francis Xavier.
Ideally you should spend half a day in these two places and St Cajetan's church, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount and the ruins of St Augustine's church.
