My husband has mobility difficulties and we were not sure that the group walks would be suitable so we booked an individual guide and had a splendid time. We were taken round the parts that could be done on the mobility scooter and then did the rest in the guide's car. Learnt a great deal about Panjim and Goan history that we had not picked up in many years of visting. To add to the pleasure the trips support a literacy charity for young children in Goa ( http://bookwormgoa.in/). A real win win situation.

have been on many of the walks organised by Cholta Cholta.. must say that the guuides are really knoledgeable and out of the ordinary since they fill you in with details pertaining to the lifestyles, architecture and the period history beides describing the important structures and places in Panjim.
Every Goan too need s to do tis walk and visit as many of us do not have any knowledge of our own history and significance of the structures and spaces.

Had a very lovely experience with the Cholta Cholta walk titled 'Of Night and Crossings'. The Commissioner of the Corporation of the City of Panjim, Sanjit Rodrigues, led us on a fascinating tour of a part of old Panjim at night. In talking about aspects of the city along the walk, he wore so many hats -- as Commissioner, as resident, as nature-lover, as heritage enthusiast, as history buff -- that we were immersed in every aspect. Can't think of a better way to get to know a city, whether you're a resident or a first-time visitor.

An informative, interesting and wonderful walk at night through the streets of Panjim, led by Panaji's very knowledgeable Commissioner, Sanjit Rodrigues. I loved the way he wove together info about the history, culture, flora and social ethos of the places we walked through. We even came to know about some family history of some old families of Goa! Hats off to Bookworm for the star-lit walk. It's also a fantastic way for citizens to meet and interact with one's city's administrators. The walk ended with yummy food!!

Love these guys for doing the walks. Its been a great experience for me, even as a local.
I always seek out such walks when i travel to other places, so its great that visitors to Goa have Cholta Cholta available to them.

Looking forward to the next one, a Panaji night walk led by the City's commissioner.
