The village -Punarjani(meaning re-birth) reminds one of our country's rich cultural heritage and enviable past. The Kathakali we witnessed is awe-inspiring and I was glued to the seat all through. I visited this place on 25th October 2013 with family. the preliminary narration of this traditional art form of Kerala is good and several foreign tourists also enjoyed this. Good . It is the responsibility of every Indian irrespective to which part of India he belongs to, to encourage and promote such glorious performing arts of our country. Kindly encourage such artists .

Kathakali:
My family wife and kids (12 and 6 years each) were mesmerized by the artists who performed the Kathakali. The Kathakali artists wore very colorful, elaborate costumes supported by the percussionists who played Kali and Chendai, and an excellent singer. The play had more than 200 people - who were spell bound by the performance.
Kalaripayattu:
The second play was a demonstration of one of the oldest fighting systems practiced in Kerala. The team performed very dangerous strikes, kicks, handled weapons with strength and agility.
Its just 200 Rs. per person (4 USD) and the show is worth a 100$. Don't forget to go and handle those weapons and get pictures with the artists after the show.
