chinnar is almost 2 hours drive from munnar, we went of morning drive hoping to meet some wild animals, but were unlucky to spot any apart from monkeys. The trekk inside the sanctuary and the watch tower was just good.

we planned to go for safari in this wildlife sanctuary but there is no any kind of safari. when we asked about safari at echo shop at chinnar they told us that only thing we can do here is trekking. For wildlife lovers it is waste of time. We saw so many animals on the way back to munnar by road more than this. We have been to trekking in this wildlife sanctuary up to waterfall in this forest.

After getting permission and tickets from Chinnar check post, we trekked to Pambar log house via Koottar and stayed overnight. wonderful riverside walk. This trip's special gifts were Brown fish owl,Grizzled giant squirrel, Indian Gaurs and langurs. Our car broke down when we came back after the forest trek. But the forest officials helped us to get a jeep from Marayoor 16 km away to get it repaired. (Tip - Only Reliance network available at Chinnar for now)
