I was in Munnar in oct 2013..i booked a twin sharing room in deep woods for 3 days..this place has it own pros and cons..
starting with pros..
its close to nature, as name suggest its into the forest, perfect place if you want to be in cool calm place, waterfalls can be heard, with view of birds and forest from the rooms.

food:morning breakfast was good, our care taker used to make maggie, omlette or whatever or wenever we have asked for it.

pocket friendly- we went in off season , deal offered to us was pretty decent.

room facility-one suggestion to it that they might u send pictures of new villa when u book them online, and in reality all rooms are not the same. i got my room changed on request , we stayed in fantastic twin sharing room neat and clean with perfect view. Do Not Stay in old twin sharing rooms.its cold (not air proof) and lacks basic facilities.

service- it is decent, with care takers were been just call away for us.

coming to cons
As name suggest its deep woods, its somewhere deep inside,Around 12 kms away from munnar city. so do carry all essentials along when you going to stay there.

its good hangout place for youngsters, there are waterfalls close at walkable distance but i would not recommend it for your family, as it lacks on recreational activities, restaurant was very far from my room and also you have to walk steep roads up and down to reach to reception or restaurant, which would be troublesome for your parents. Hotel has no facility for trasportation inside the campus.

Except from bsnl none of the network catches there, jus stay connected to nature :)

overall it was good place, i have cherished memories of my stay in deep woods.

Room Tip: Prefer going in off season. Do Not Stay in old twin sharing rooms.its cold (not air proof) and lack...

This place is meant only for the fittest of the fit, artists and lovers of nature. Good place to live for a few days without disturbance from any quarters, without the unprofessional touch of tourism, a good setting for stories of love and suspense.
The way to this place too is very rough with steep climbs and rough descents. A vehicle is mandatory. It is not easily accessible. The reception is very unlike that of a hotel in the true business sense. Its a wooden structure with some fine pieces of furniture. Since the rooms or cottages are all inset here and there in the woods, its bound to be cold.
We stayed in the main building itself. The room was good. So was the bathroom but on some days they did not have room service. The Restaurant is about half a mile from the main building downward slope. This is the reason I mentioned that it is for the fit. No alcohol is served here.
The room we had in the main building was on the first floor. It was clean The flooring was wooden panels. the eastern window opened to a thickly wooded area and the southern window to the distant roads that came winding to this estate with a far view of the woods uphill. Good enough.
The Restaurant was again a wooden structure with full glass windows that could be open and shut. Yes it was clean. The breakfast had limited dishes but was hot and good.
The people there were warm and friendly.
They had their own vehicle to shuttle you between the restaurant and the rooms. Its a bumpy ride.
There are no delectable delicacies. Food is expensive. Morning tea would be ready only at 7am. Not a place for early risers who want of a cup of tea. There is an alternative - One can use the Tea maker kept in the room.
When the room was given to us, it was not cleaned. There was no sugar sachets. There was no bath door mat. We used newspaper. The perfection of staying in a hotel was missing.
Nevertheless the stay was quite different. We could breathe fresh air. here we met special type of people. What struck me was that the people of Munnar were neither like the Keralites in their behavior or like the Tamils. Lost in between somewhere on the trails of both type of people. Indians.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that have at least one window facing the woods.

The approach was really non professional, even the indoors lights weren't working we really had to fight hard for a bed coffee. The dinner was horrible I can not explain that.

Never ever opt for this resort.

Where to start. Dirty, unkempt, surrounded by rubbish. Bed linen inadequate, not cleaned. Dinning room ghastly & transport to it, unsafe. Much better places to stay. We left after one night. My advice 'don't go'!

Place was quite good. Well isolated from munnnar city by 15km but very good place to stay away from city's rush n pollution. We were given absolute privacy. Rooms can be made more better. Bad service at night after 10pm. Overall good place to halt.

We had been to Munnar recently. We were looking for a hotel away from Munnar town as we felt being tourist seasons Munnar town will be crowded. We decided to book this hotel as it was about 9 -10 kms way from Munnar. The Hotel is located in a forest like area surrounded by trees and bushes. The Hotel rooms consists of bunglows with rooms, the bunglows are spread out in the approx 12 acre area. There is conderable distance between the bunglows in which we were alloted room from the receiption area. The Hotel staff took as in jeep to our room. The rooms are neat and spacious. For room service they have exclusive caretakers for each bunglows who were very polite and courteous. It is a very quite and peaceful place. The Hotel has buffet for breakfast and dinner, the food is good. We had a great time, we were happy to escape the maddening crowd at Munnar town.
It is a good place for couples or large families who could rent the entire bunglow. The hotel also arranges campfires. Truely an amazing place to stay.
The only point of improvement would be to get cleaner laundry as the towels did not appear clean.

Room Tip: Book rooms closer to the restaurant and also select room on the 1st foor of the bunglows to get bett...

I had stayed there 2 times with my family...and I feel happy whenever I choose to be there..resort with lush greenery and birds humming sound in early mornings!!really a good break through from our mechanical life..still they need to concentrate on customer service and interiors of the rooms..and draw back would be that it is 8-9 kms away from munnar city..
