We stayed 2 days in the edge resort ..... it was a wonderful experience I would like to stay again ..... All the staff were wonderful and the care about all the customers..The food is very good and very fresh.
The cottages are lovely and clean. In the reception you can access internet with WI FI ..From breakfast to lunch to dinner everything is perfect. I am a veggie and also very fussy!! They would make changes to any of the dishes that i asked for. These are the most polite staff that I have ever had the pleasure to speak to. Always smiling and always positive. The only problem which i faced little far from munnar town ...... Any way its a calm place

Room Tip: One of the best choice in munnar

I had a 2 day stay at the edge.
Rooms very very less maintained.
Breakfast was so so and staff was very dumb.

Only advantage was that room had very nice view.
However money cant be spent only for view.

The photos of the rooms show the hotel in tip top condition but I fear that they are not representative as the hotel is rather shabby and needs some maintenance. The restaurant is surprisingly good though.

If we are planning holidays with family and extended family, we always want to have one of the best if not "the best". No one wants to get on the wrong side of your inlaws :) Apprehensively I requested and okayed Edge Munnar for our Munnar visit. And it was an experience. I could not stop clicking and clicking - the Misty Mountains, the smoky hue, the lights and add to it the cold but pleasant climate. The view from Edge Munnar is simply exquisite! A nice beginning to our Kerala trip. We were fortunate enough to have an entire floor for us and thus we chose the valley facing rooms. Though non-valley facing rooms were comparatively larger, the view made up for the size.
The staff was courteous, polite and very patient - as we had a few children with us. Food is not something to boast about. Edge Munnar is nestled deep inside and is easy to miss. It's reasonably far from the town. So if you are not looking for a cozy, undisturbed and romantic accommodation, then something nearer to the town can be the best bet.
Edge has a lot of scope for improvements(especially the bathrooms and hot water) and I do believe that it will get better and better with time.

Room Tip: Go for the valley facing rooms Non-Valley facing rooms are larger

Pluses would be: big and clean room, nicely looking hotel and (maybe) location. Minuses: bad breakfast, no wifi in the rooms (only a very slow one in the lobby) and (maybe) location. Location is peacefull, but in the middle of nowhere (that explains the name Edge). You can not walk anywhere and it is like 10 miles from Munnar. But on the other hand if you want peace, this could be the choice. Breakfast is really poor, it starts at 7.30, but in an Indian way that means, that do not be there until 8, because nothing will be ready. If you are in a hurry for a trip (like we were), you better forget an early breakfast.

I started my Holidays by staying at the Edge in Munnar. I have reviewed many Hotels at time of the planning of my visit to Kerala. And I can say that, I chose the right one for my stay at Munnar. Rooms are very nice but the best part of it is its View from the Room. As a Bad mark, service of the edge needs to be improved a little as they take too much time for any requirements of guests. But else, everything is perfect for valuable. Food at the Restaurant was above average & affordable. In short, Consider this Hotel for your trip to Munnar, it's worth to stay here.

Room Tip: Get the Valley View (Chalet) Rooms.

Right on the Edge !!!

Although the hotel is too far from Munnar town, it has a decent valley view. having your own / dedicated vehicle will be advantage.

Overall great experience, will love to visit again.

Room Tip: book valley facing rooms only, Preferably higher floors.
