Went in Sept 2011, great place, nice rooms. Nice location, close to the market. Food is better outside than inside the property.
Rooms on the top floor have a better view of the mountains n landscape, but the adjoining rooms are too close...feel like next door person can enter into your room!
There is bath tub also in some of the rooms. But, the weather usually is cold n one doesn't want to soak in bathtub when its cold.
Go to saravana Bhuvan in market for nice South Indian food!

Stayed: September 2012, travelled with family

The property is really good and well spread out over 8 acres of land in a hill top. Very close to the main Munnar market and from all the sight seeing points of Munnar. We have opted for their royal suite (S 1), which was really good and royal in size and decor. The Suite consist of one Drawing room with excellent view and one bedroom. Royal suite has one big balcony also. We have seen there Mini suite room, which is not good as the siting room has no view and very small and clumsy in size. its just not worth the money you pay for a suite room as you will never use the sitting area (you will feel Claustrophobia).

The least I speak about the F&B is best. The breakfast menu was a pity to the price you pay for such a property. They have a Bar (serves only Beer and Wine) but during my stay they have only left with kingfisher Premium beer. Fortunately you can get a liquor shop within 5 minutes distance from the resort.

The linen are old and lost the colour, White bed sheets have became yellow, have stain marks, towels are old and has lost the softness.

Why do Government need to manage this properties, they can own the property and lease them to some good hospitality group to manage them on their behalf.

Avoid it if you are not travelling with kids and wants to stay near to the munnar market, there are lot of good options available at the same price point.

Room Tip: We have stayed in Royal Suite, which is really good and have a splendid view of mountain

F & B need to be improved a lot we didn't like the food at all therefore we decided to visit Grand Plaza Munnar for meals...Grand Plaza food was amazing...The staff was very friendly & helpful...Breakfast spread could be improved with better quality food. the propert is not maintained up to the mark.. Beauty, beauty, beauty in the hill country of Kerala. Our room was big, comfortable, and even though it was raining, the staff kept someone around to shelter you with an umbrella at all times. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is very willing to help. The only negative was that our sheets and bedspread were dirty when we got there, but they changed them immediately when we. called. Breakfast buffet is large and good. Massage was good, too. We were there in June 2013

Room Tip: If you ever go during "monsoon" be sure to keep the heater on in your room or everything gets really, really damp.
