Treehouse, Rockhouse and cottages! little away from the main town in a beautiful location facing a stream, to add to the beauty the food was just awesome, very simple and homely. We were a group of 6 people from Bangalore who was looking for something different than the usual resort setting and we found exactly that. Ideal setting for people who are looking for camping and quiet holiday. Jeep drives and water fall bath was great. The hospitality was superb and thanks to the local staffs there.

Room Tip: If you are a couple try out the tree house for a night and if a family cottages are more easy to rea...

The place was actually lovely with water fall running below us. Food was delicious. But there were two problems. One is, there was only a bell, the normal temple like bell, to call the room service. There is no signal in mobile phones too. And no.2, there was a sudden power cut around 8 PM because of power fluctuation there and it took till the next day morning for it to be fixed.

We had a lovely experience at ecoland during this month for 4 days. We had booked this tour in december and was really looking forward. They really did make us happy for the entire stay. Location is very beautiful with tall trees, stream and beautiful climate. We loved the experience at the tree house , decent puffy bed, clean toilet, a small balcony, do not expect luxury up there. The care taker was really good and served us some real delicacy. They took us for a trekk down tea, cardomom plantation and to a beautiful water fall nearby. The jeep safari was really off road crossing forests, plantations and beautiful rivers. Must try their country chicken curry if you are non vegetarian, it tasted just awesome. We cannot forget the bonfire party's we had there with some simple barbecue. We are coming back next October and look forward to stay for a longer duration. We just loved the simplicity, rustic and very peaceful feeling there.

Room Tip: Tree House is the best choice if you don't mind rouging it up a bit, rock house is more secluded...

Best tree house experience in munnar, we stayed for 4 nights at a 30 feet height, connected by 5 tall trees, beautiful concept close to woods and stream. The food was awesome made very homely by muthu, the care taker. They took good care of us with a back up sim card since our provider did not have network. Our mornings was the best with chill breeze beautiful birds singing and offcourse great breakfast with appam and stew with boiled bananas.

Do not expect luxury in your rooms.
No air conditioners or fan,its not all needed, very pleasant warm climate.
No many staff or intercom, so do have patience but they served us food very much on time.
Do ask for a bonfire at night if possible with some music.
Do go for a trekk inside the property with muthu and discover different types of trees, spices, coffee, coco, oranges, lots of vegetables and fruits.
Near the farm house you get to see beautiful mountains.
There is lots to see and learn if you are lilttle bit adventurous and dont mind roughing it up.

Great holiday spot...

We been wanting to review for long time, got busy with our work. Superb camping experience in the middle of tall trees, spice plantations, stream and mountains. Loved the located and the concept of different type of accomodation with tree house, rock house and cottages. We as a group of 8 girls stayed at ela ecoland for 3 days, it was a really a hide out location, very quiet and what more....great homely food. All 3 nights we spent lot of time listening to music since we are music composers, right place to have fun and work. Trekking to muhtu's farm itslef a good experience, thanks to the team for the great hospitality and great food. We wil come back in april.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rock house since the tree house was sold out. both options are good.

I was recommended by my friend who lives in California and she was absolutely right. Beautiful location, very simple, rustic and a bit adventurous place. We stayed for 4 days at ecoland and also discovered the entire munnar and our tour was organized by ecoland. We enjoyed the food a lot, since we were pure non vegetarian er had many choices from country chicken to rabbit meat prepared in indian style, the food tasted so good and we think its due the spices used which is from the farm. We loved peace and tranquillity about the place, its always personal. There was a slight drizzle when we arrived but apart from that there was no issues during our stay. The main care taker stays in the farm house with his family and was always help full when in need. Our driver kannan was superb during our travel and showed us every possible place. We were not looking forward to see the normal so called sight seeing spots around in munnar, we were looking for unseen spots around Munnar. Trekk to Moolapullu was awesome passing by forest and plantations. We loved the experience at ecoland and really will recommend to people who are looking out for nature friendly stay, but do not expect luxury.

Room Tip: We stayed at the rock house, since we were a group, we loved the privacy and secluded feeling there.

We checked in to elaecoland as 03 couples, 02 couples stayed in the Rock house and we stayed at the Tree House. Really unique experience in the middle of tall tress and cardamom estates . Do not compare this property with just an other resort or a hotel, ela is very unique and well explained at the time of booking about pros and cons. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and hospitality. The food was really homely made with fresh vegges and country chicken. We like everything about this property, its simplicity , rustic feeling, adventure climb to the rooms and the beautiful stream. We had barbecue nights with bonfire and played our own music. The jeep drive was really cool passing through water falls, hanging bridges and flat rivers. All in all we had a lovely nature friendly holiday and will surely recommend to friends and will visit again.

Room Tip: Tree House and Rock house needs little bit of climbing and we loved it there.
